>All this damage control

Dead console with no games.

Screen protectors are ugly and Nintendo shouldn't be offloading the cost of screen durability to the customer.

This.

>solution is to buy more cheap chink shit

I SAID DELETE THIS!

This

If you want to be really secure, encase your Switch in a bulletproof glass box before you play it

1 Wahoo coin was deposited in your Nintendo account. Please, purchase 1 year of BingBing! online subscription to download it.

still more games than Piss4

>buy $1 glass screen protector from chinkland, dumbass

But user, it's a plastic screen, not a glass one.

>It's ok that Nintendo fucked [insert thing here] up just buy [insert thing here] to compensate for their fuck up.
I swear ive seen this exact same post thousands of times before.
Nintenbros are like broken records.

You're really sounding like a silly boy, here.

go back to school user

Phones haven't needed screen protectors in 10 years. This is literally a last decade problem. Where the fuck is Nintendo?

Why is this glass meme a thing?

Because MUH smartphones? Those things designed to last one to two years?

>Scratches at 3

You do know even $100 phones scratch at 7-8 right?

Pathetic.

>Nintendo cheaps out on hardware
Wow I never saw this coming

My phone came with a screen protector applied from the company directly.

Anyone who uses a mobile device without one is a fucking retard and any opinion or complaint they have about scratches is invalid.

t. Le shattered iphone user

>spoiling a brand new electronic product only first worlders will own.
FUcking western civilisation at it's worst.

Nintendo isn't a phone manufacturer. They make devices intended to last 5+ years.

That console could have fed a whole village in Africa for a month.

>Makes cheap, underpowered system
>Sell it and charge for repairs
>charge for online
>hard mode dlc
Is Kimishima a jew?

>helping thousands of people save money by not buying this trash

Actually what he did was good.

whats her name

But you can very easily scratch your phone by simply having it in your pocket, and that's how it's supposed to be used (carried in your pocket, not being scratched), much like you're supposed to charge the Switch on the dock a lot of the times.
I'm not saying it's a good thing, and if it happens easily or frequently Nintendo's definitely at fault and accountable. But does it REALLY happens that often?

ANY display device that features touchscreen or that keeps frequent contact with any objects or surfaces (ie. everything that's not a TV or monitor) needs extra care not provided or guaranteed by the manufacturers like cases or protectors if you have any hope of avoiding cracks, scratches, dust or stains in the future.
I'm not trying to be an apologist. It's simply the standard for the industry of consumer electronics.
Some times the manufacturer offers extra durable devices, but you're certainly charged for it and you'll have a hard time arguing that there's not space in the market for both as long as a minimum standard is mantained.

I'm not an expert, but I think that's not related to the material used on the screen itself.

>But you can very easily scratch your phone by simply having it in your pocket
Not really, modern phones are pretty scratch proof, unless you are scratching them with a knife or some shit on purpose

>Userscore
LOL. really had to scrape the bottom of the barrel there, sonegro.

isn't the one on the grip from, like, lord of the rings? or is it lord of the flies? i always forget xP

Oh no! They're not using the paid reviewer scores!

I always put my phone in the same pocket as my keys and the screen is relatively scratch free.

Or at least, doesn't look as bad as a Switch when being scratched by the damn dock.

>All these idiots

Find me another console that still functions while 1/3rd of a Triforce is cut out of it:
youtube.com/watch?v=qBVyF0I2Ruo&t=370s

that could be literally anything in there, even an empty cartridge, you're just paying for a label

>no gorilla glass/whatever phones use

Jesus christ

Who thought a hard plastic interior on the dock was a good idea?

If by scratch proof you mean the sort of big scratches from keys yeah its pretty hard to scratch them up that way. But dirt abrasion eventually fucks up even the most durable screens; its harder material than the glass and pockets are prone to having a few specks of the shit lying around in them.

What a cuck test, nintenbros dont even try anymore.

Depends on what you count as "easily". It's not that common to happen, but it happens as a direct result of the common way you use a smartphone and affects a decent amount of people.
Look around and see for yourself. Lots of people have slightly damaged or scratched phones unless they use cases and protectors, not just a one or two clumsy morrons.
Ultimately it's expected that only a small portion of users are to experience this kind of issue as long as they're not particularly rash with their use.

In this case, shit like screen protectors is merely an insurance. You don't want to take this small risk and be the one unlucky bastard to suffer it.
If the risk is so big that even by taking the expected amount of care you're still very likely to have issues, then I'm with you and would absolutely complain.

As I said, it's not something that's bound to happen to everyone, just a significant portion of people. And it does.
It's not uncommon to come across a scratched or slightly damaged phone screen.

gorilla glass is expensive as shit, add $150-300 to the cost, its no wonder phones cost $1000

the process of apply that glass to an oled screen is even more expense, they didn't want to pay the slave chinks 15 cents more.

please delete this.

I don't think it's even possible to scratch the screen in that angle using the dock.

Probably an engineer who planned to use glass for the screen before it was changed by someone else to save cost.

It is pretty impressive there's not even rubber stoppers to try to prevent it from happening though.

>The switch is shit because it doesn't use a thing no handheld gaming device has ever used

Simply epic.

I think you meant

$1.50-3.00

>add $150-300 to the cost

That's more than the total cost of the components on an iPhone

My 100 pound phone has some sort of near indestructible glass. Simply no defending this kikery nintenbros.

A guy by the name of spawn wave on youtube fixed the left joycon issue by adding a coppper wire, proving that its not a software issue but a design flaw.

nah it's designed to be kid and retard proof so they used plastic which doesn't shatter

the dock scratching that is 100% planned though

>$300 for 6 inches of glass on your phone

jesus fuck user a full fucking window for your car costs less than that, what are you smoking

>top of the line SoC 26 bucks

neat, I always assumed they were like 80 bucks or something

>16nm da best tier SoC 26 bucks

and cheaptendo went with 20nm because two extra bucks more money to them is worth 30 minutes worse battery life

>Muh phone

Please user. Adults are talking here.

You'd probably pay closer to $80, unless you want enough to fill your home to the ceiling and, even then, you'd need quite the fabrication facility to make use of it.

There's a trade off between the two. Gorilla glass is more expensive and would raise the console's price. It is scratch resistant though.

The plastic is not scratch resistant, but it won't crack when dropped like glass will.

gorilla glass literally costs less than 5 bucks for a sub 7'' device

I as a consumer can get it for that price, manufacturers even cheaper

this explains the Nintendo switch

youtu.be/6avpvhV3v1Y

The thing's top heavy and it got knocked off the cabinet with a slight tap. Took a 3 foot dive onto the carpet and the impact scratched it inside the dock. It's fucking stupid that happened from such a simple accident and that they couldn't put simple rubber stoppers on the interior corners.

>220 to make, sales for 650+

Apple makes a killing.

yeah but I assumed it was 80 bucks a piece for apple tier manufacturers

>Cucktaku
lol

they really are, but do factor in RnD, which is like hundreds of millions or something

It's one of the reasons they've resisted OLED, IPS screens are just cheaper, especially when you use an embarrassingly low resolution.

You should see the percentage markup on lightning cables. It's literally cents to produce and they're charging 10s of dollars. Thanks to DRM built into the cable, they're able to enforce their monopoly.

My bad.

>solid as a rock when being dropped
>comes with built in design flaws and defects up the ass
amazing

Blaster master is out on the Japanese eshop.
