+ cute loli pawns
+ thicc sexy amazoness pawns
- shit difficulty scaling
- kinda small world
- unbalanced classes and items
- glitches that never got patched
- kinda outdated graphics
- Online reduced to pawn renting
Great game.
Who was your beloved, Sup Forums? Pic related.
The first time I didn't knew it existed and got the slut princess.
The second time I knew it existed, read a bit about it, avoided slut princess and got Valmiro, because I did his quets before the end.
The third time I avoided any further interaction with any at least somewhat important npc, read multiple guides and threads about it and finally got Mercedes.
That one guy who kept getting in trouble from the home village. I thought i was just saving him from another bit of trouble again at the end, but then the kiss happened.
Mercedes best waifu
second best waifu*
Symone is clearly the superior waifu.
THE
Should I play this, Sup Forums?
I like waifus and comfy and difficult RPGs, but I'm not that much into party-based stuff, makes it hard to roleplay (for me) and identify myself with the char.
also no housing pisses me off a little bit.
Would you still recommend it?
WIND
IS
PACKS
>huge gigantic world
>gives you nothing to travel with
story is shit and theres like 5 types of enemies,
also combat is nothing unique because its even worse than souls
Man, this game it's great.
I don't understand wht you mean by party based stuff making it hard to roleplay, but it's a great fucking game, I recommend the PC version
>combat
>even worse than souls
is this true?
how is it even possible?
souls has non-existant hitboxes and you basically hit air with your hits
is DD really worse?
SEVERED
OUGHT
>be me
>hate people
>be forced to join forces with people I'd tell to fuck off in real-life
just ruins immersion, but I get that RPGs aren't designed to make outcasts like me feel immersed.
He's shitposting. Play this game.
HATES
It's a flawed game, certainly could use some polish.
But damn it's in my top three regardless.
It's great, and the magic system actually feels like you're a sorcerer.
how do people this dumb exist?
you're really gonna take the random word of one user on Sup Forums at face value?
just play it and decide for yourself or at least look up a gameplay video
He's fucking with you, imagine Shadow of The Collosus with actual combat
The combat great, has combos you unlock and you can climb on beats to hit their weak points for massive damage.
Nah, it was a good gem but not the best. It wasn't on anyone's lists for the longest time, but it finally got some recognition after Dark Arisen.
What's a cookie cutter build that will go through BBi like a hot knife thru butter? Asking for a friend.
A well built sorcerer is so fucking broken.
k thx guys I'm gonna try it out.
been looking for a RPG to play anyway.
200 levels as Sorcerer, then switch to Magick Archer.
Assassin is broken too. You are literally a ballista at high level.
You aren't really forced to join forces, yu could just toss your pawn off a cliff and never have to revive him, plus story wise, they aren't people introduced story, they're literally personal minions that you create, at least the first on is, and you hire the rest from other people online
My first run through the game was as an assassin. I enjoyed all the jumping, spinning and climbing around. What should I play this time?
Its less RPG and more Action, akin to the Devil May Cry games with a character creator and fantasy themepack.
For me the difficulty, unbalanced classes and items, and glitches completely killed it for me. There's so much amazing potential here and the game needs a sequel with co-op play but the original is just worthless to me.
>escort Selene
>all going well
>halfway to the first healing spring
>suddenly a fucking griffin
>escort barnaby
>super smooth sailing
>wild chimera appears
I quit right there. Should I just not bother with escort quests until NG+? I feel like I'm missing out if I don't do them.
that's quite cool! thanks for the info
I thought I was forced to like people like Witcher 3 made me do it.
>hurr decide between whore 1 or whore 2
>dont like neither of em?
>well you're fucked, choose between whore 1 or whore 2
i hated that.
Magik Archer is seriously the most busted class in the game, especially if you get lucky and get the ring to upgrade sixfold bolt. That skill, ricochet hunter and immolation basically rek everything as long as you have the magik bow from killing Greg - and you can get a free, easy piece of the Royal set armor from the Moonbeam gem door
Assassin or Magic-archer now who's this sperm-worm ?
>huge gigantic world
Not really. I think DD had the perfect size for an open world.
I am a man who believes every waifu can be great, but sometimes there's like one who's just terrible, pleb tier. Popularity of the character doesn't matter.
For this game it's Aelinore.
Madeleine, Selene close second.
>ending up with both in my home
Aw yeah
sorcerer
Escort quests are pointless. Why would you let a side mission stop you from playing? Also running into epic creatures is some of the best fun to be had.
any tips for that. I didn't touch magic at all my first run
Don't bother with escort quests, they typically don't have good rewards and its only a way to raise affection.
So what glitches are people encountering? I have yet to encounter a glitch that's gamebreaking, or even one that required a reset.
SEQUEL WITH ALCHEMIST CLASS WHEN?
Just started the game, for roleplaying reasons I want to know, is it possible to make a warrior/sorceror hybrid?
>go to the garden district
>pawn guild
>oh cool a dungeon in the city, must be an easy one
>HOLY MOTHER OF GOD WHAT THE FUCK IS DOWN HERE LET ME OUT LET ME OUT
fuck
is this game worth playing?
Mystic Knight is a sort of Fighter/Mage hybrid, good old sword (or mace) and giant board with team buffs, shooting magic out of your shield, magic cannons, a couple of unique spells.
It's called Mystic Knight. But no two-handed weapons for him.
Fuck off
Its huge as fuck and i have to run miles to get to places
Fuck this game
Am I the only person who found the damage in this game wonky? I remember on the final boss dragon (not DLC) I was literally attached to his stomach slashing him with my daggers for like 4 hours until he died
Depends, you been upgrading your weapons, both going to higher tiers and getting more stars? You didn't use any Holy daggers on Grigori right?
Xbone backwards compatibility when?
Gross.
Ugly loli.
I haven't played in a while and might need to check my save. I liked the game a lot but felt super underpowered as a dagger guy when magic seemed super OP (on my other playthrough)
>mystic knight
>heavy armor physical and magic defense
>best ability is magick cannon
>just hang back and shoot energy balls
Who the fuck thought this was a good idea? You're gimping yourself if you ignore magick cannon but the game is boring as fuck if you use it.
All lolis are perfect, user. And she came onto me. I didn't even ask for her!
Mystic Knight has some great abilities outside Magic Cannon, any of the shieldspells are amazing if you can perfect block everything. Stone Jungle along with looking great can knockdown everything short of Grigori and Daimon.
High geared MKs don't have to rely on it. Abyssal buff does shit tons of damage and takes way less set up time.
LMAO
>pawn renting is practically dead on PC
If your beloved isn't your Pawn you're playing wrong
Magick canons start to be shit in BBI though. Split damage takes too much of a hit when enemies are actually given defense values. There, pure strength MK using abyssal anguish starts dominating. It's why their level 3 BBI weapon is pure physical.
Why was this shit never ported to PS4?
That's where I quit the first time because I thought you had to kill them. Picked up the game again, started running way instead, cutscene triggers. I felt like a fool. I've done one playthrough to NG+ and love the game now.
>tfw rented pawns at level 50
>still have them at 124
game is easy anyway
I've never even touched or will ever touch this game and I know she is perfect.
Living Armor City as a Fighter
TELL ME ABOUT DEATH
HOW DO I BEAT HIM WITHOUT CHEESING METHOD BULLSHIT
I DONT MEME WITH MYSTIC ARCHER yet
The best game of last gen was Catherine.
Sorry user
It's OK. Every aspect of it is shallow (even the combat) but every hit in combat feels satisfying. It's definitely worth playing.
Witcher 3 has much more depth than DD in most ways, but because Witcher 3 feels like shit to play it's a worse game.
Catherine on PC when?
Fucking never ; _ ;
My PS3 died, so I did the trial for PS Now just so I could play it again.
If Dragons Dogma had Witcher 3s level of world detail and vastness it would be fantastic.
post your qt pawns
...
i usually like to grab my pawn and watch as she kinda struggles in my gentle but irony grip.
I wish it was backwards compatible on xbone
now that's some unbelievable standards you have there.
>no loli
So what's everyone's opinions of these guys?
Too easy.
Honestly I wish the game was overall harder and not just jumping the shark after Grigori.
she's qt enough for me
damn these harpies are hot, it's a shame i can't domesticate one.
They have an item which maximizes affection in the fucking game. Just give the Arisen's Bond to whoever you like.
Also shut your fucking mouth. Aelinore is an angel.
Did it no problem as an Assassin with strider pawn, my hired pawns did them in no problem on their unarmored phase.
aemelie is the only right choice
Impossible for fighter/warrior/sorcerer.
Pushover for anything else.
I enjoyed the game, but no it wasn't.
It's easy to max out multiple affinities in one playthrough - and Aelinore is the easiest since she maxes instantly if you talk to her in the garden.
The Beloved becomes whoever you last talked to within the list of those with max or high affinity, and gets locked after you finish that Greatwall quest.
>reinstall the game on steam after not playing since the release
>rest
>pawn waffle made me over 800k rift shekels
Even got 5/5 in apperance and helpfulnes, how did your pawn do user?
The damage threshold for magic is much weaker than for physical, especially since things usually have elemental weaknesses.
If you ever have trouble with damage you can just stack 4 periapts and go to town.
Always good
Until you reach BBI and suddenly your fighter/warrior do no damage what so ever and you either have to grind, switch classes or poke a boss with your toothpick for an hour
