Star Realms. One of the best deck builders in meatspace. The physical game is worth being in anyone's collection and mobile lets you find an opponent anywhere.

Altos Adventure and Super Toss the Turtle is worth the hardisk space

If you can bear with anime, granblue fantasy and soccer spirits are the ones I play. Soccer spirits is really generous with freebies, although they have a few deals that made me think they're too good to not buy ($70 spent in 3 months), although now I'm in the grindzone so no more need to spend. Take a trip to and you might find something, although it's mostly gook stuff, more popular games have their own thread.

To add to this, the main gripe I have with 99% of all mobage is that their main selling point is having cute/sexy art and then they add some gameboy pocket-tier graphics to it so you can "see" the units or whatever the fuck their plan was. So far I've only seen valkyrie crusade, shadowverse, soccer spirits and to some extent granblue fantasy actually use their card art in the gameplay.

The rest of the games are just copypasted mechanics of click/swipe unit palette on the bottom, some awful control scheme where you move in a scrolling world by pressing on the screen, while also attacking by tapping or games where the art isn't even visible (puzzle dragon/candy crush style).

Also the art choices for the HQ or whatever to call it is the same shitty pale brown in three or four different shades, and bright color contrasts that just looks awful.

There's a really limited supply of viable f2p games that both look good and play well, I did take a good look a few weeks back when I was bored out of my mind and tried out most things in both the western and japanese play store, and the games I mentioned earlier are the only ones that stand out.

When does the paywall hit on Mobius? Ive probably played for 20 or so hours and haven't felt like I've been restricted so far. Just doing the special events gives you a ton of shit.

Isn't mobius jewish as hell? Like you get 1/50 of a 10-roll for completing a mission, or maybe I mixed it up with some other game.

Had an entire ocean of emulation gold on it. Everything from mega drive games play station games ds games. It was so comfy playing earthbound or full throttle on scumm vm. Al that gaming I did on a phone that included built in controller. Best Phone I ever had 100% would buy again. mobile gaming is a gimmick til you got a phone with a physical controller then it nearly becomes as good of a gaming platform as a pc.

GBA shit is the best, the control scheme fits the most, since it only uses a couple buttons anyway. try zelda the minish cap, or mario super star saga, or metroid fusion, etc..

Crusader's Quest is the only option.

Other than that, you can never go wrong with emulation. Hoplite is fun too.

I'd say DS games or turn based stuff is the best. For DS in particular Ghost Trick and Ace Attorney are great on a phone screen.

I personally play Bleach Brave Souls and Destiny Child.

Brave Souls is a top down shallow hack n slash game that is very f2p viable if you spend your orbs right.

DC is a simple RPG(?) with really high quality Live2D art.

You can play Shin Megami Tensei 1 on your phone nowadays.

It's a pity how mobile games turned out. We could have got some decent RPGs or JRPGs instead we got gacha shit, flash games and ports of old games.

Might seem like gatcha trash, but it gives you lots of stuff at the start if I remember correctly, and the crossover dungeons with stuff like Dragon Ball, Evangelion, Final Fantasy, and even DC Comics are fun.

I agree. The thing is mobile games make a ton of money, so instead of devs trying to do something original they appeal to the lowest common denominator and still rake in the cash.

There's some hidden gems in there, but good luck finding them beneath the 200 flappy bird clones.

Time locker is fun, it's runner mixed/shoot'em up that that uses the "you stop moving, time stops" mechanic of Super Hot.

Polytopia. A simple turn-based strategy game. Fairly shallow, but if you play single match in a single shitter seating it'll be one ofthe best things for you.

emulating psp is the best option, for one the FF ports are better than android ones...and two, MGS peace walker and kingdom hearts BBS on your phone, nuff said.

I joined only a short while ago (17 days) but early enough to get into the 250+1 / 150+1 gacha roll event, got six 4 star characters and a few 4 star weapons to go with them. That includes the latest event that gives you a 4 star mace user just for playing it a bit. Maybe I just got lucky in getting OS Sinon early so grinding upgrade materials was a lot easier than for most people?

I don't think its grindy at all compared to a bunch of both mobage and PC games that I've played. Granted I play it quite a bit in transit to work and at home, which is a lot more time than what you spend on the crapper.

Since half of the game is skill based the character stats aren't as crucial except for getting those S rank clear times, and since the only 1 star character in the game is your beginning one that means the gacha only spans 3 tiers of power levels, which is really damn small and thus "fair".

Im talking about ranking. You wont get even top 10 if you arent running OS Kirito/ Asuna/Silica with their 4* weapons.

But any character 3* and up can beat thr normal campaign, its not an achievement.

Eh well, not like you're going to be aiming for top 10 as a casual or new player. I'm happy with 65th in the last event.

I'm just saying it's not exactly f2p friendly. A lot of gaccha games and their single player can be beaten with a free player, but the meat of the games (ranking) are reserved for whales.

I have never seen a mobile game with so much content, it gets more and more the more you play, and every little shit you do unlocks some new shit that buffs you slightly and let's you play other shit.
It's a little bit p2w, a bit of content is grindy as fuck without recharging, but i never spent a shekel and it's my shit addiction

Someone mentioned Valkyrie Connect in one of these threads, and I was surprised by how much I liked it. It completely replaced FFRK for me. It throws free gems and stamina at you for everything, too.
