Witcher gear aside, what is the best looking armor set and why is it Undvik?

>heavy armor

meh

Used this for a good portion of the early game.

there is no other choice

What? Are you going to prance around Skellige in your undies then?

Nilfgaard set is also acceptable.

medium armor all day every day fggt

Manticore or Ursie, Grandmaster tier.

also the best armor for blood and wine knightly matters like the tourney, gotta rep the brand

shit what armor is that?

order of the flaming rose armor from HOS with the rivian mod

What are the best builds for the ursine armor? Really like how it looks, but it seems shit for signs.

>witcher gear aside

Grandmaster Feline, because it's the only one with a hood, Witcher 2 hooded armor master race

...

I liked how goofy and the same time pompous the griffin set was, probably one of my favorites. Also, literally every single armor set from blood and wine was god tier

you use one sign with it, and it's quen

witcher gear aside probably the cidarian cavalry armor or the ban ard breastplate

Did anyone seriously let her live?

That doesnt even make sense. What is the point of heavy armor if you just make yourself immune to damage anyway.

Griffin with white paint was my favorite

I've always been drawn towards armors that common grunts and footsoldiers wear

Who?

F A S H I O N

Looking good > stats

The bitch on Skellige who curses some guy's son because he left her for another woman

Herbalist from Skellige. Cursed her former lover's son because the guy dumped her one day and found someone else later with whom he had a child. To lift the curse, she demanded he abandon his wife and son, which would condemn them to poverty and strip them of honor. The other way around the curse was to deflect it back on her.

aside from ursine armor, that one is the only that isn't complete trash.

Temerian Armor a best.

I was a little surprised that they changed the look of it so drastically, I don't know if they released any promo pics for it prior to release, this was the only thing I saw of the temerian armor before I played

Redanian Halberdier is superior.

>tfw no short nazi hair option

why is geralt so autistic about his ponytail?

well that's a weird way of spelling manticore school

>all this armor

Jesus. How did CDPR do it?

but there is short hair for geralt

>WITCHER GEAR ASIDE

It's like you can't read.

>not witch hunter
>not badmoon or whatever its called

full moon's pretty dope

Talent and passion mixed with a little bit of slav magic.

Seriously, TW3 has probably the most impressive armors out of any RPG. The layering and detail is insane.

nah, it's too clean and black.

They get that people wore layers. I don't agree with their decision to have Geralt wear heavy armor, though. Armored jackets should've been the heaviest he would ever wear like he did in Witcher 2 for the most part.

I think Skyrim has W3

Some numale from florida probably did

Why Florida?

Nilfgaardian armor in TW3

loved the Kayran armor in TW2 as well, the hoodie was a nice touch

Left: AAA studio with billions at their disposal, infinite dev time, endless waves of animators, designers and artists, and access to the most advanced computers on earth

Right: a rag tag bunch of former polish pirates surviving solely on a budget of watered down vodka and borscht using jury rigged Datapoint 2200s on stolen power from Mr Nowak in the apartment upstairs.

how did they do it?

What?

Witcher 2 armors

grandmaster set bonus
refresh proc chance when it's broken + damage reflect boost

Meme magic, blood, and sweat.

Is that a mod?

yea just search witcher 2 on witcher 3 nexus mods

Should let him know theyre replacers for all of the base games armor sets so you have to use one or the other. Ive done playthroughs with both though.

True but I think they dont look that good anyways.

Not exactly. Bethesda development team counts about 90 employees while CDPR has 400 or so, certain percentage of which are GOG employees. Difference is Bethesda is content with what they have and want to keep it unlike CDPR that wants to grow as a developer.

>witcher wearing plate

...

>dat feel when Witcher 2 showed RPGs don't have to look like ass just BECAUSE they're RPGs

Funny thing is is that well fitted full plate would likely be more agile and quick then the layered heavy jackets he wears in 2. It doesn't make much sense for Geralt being the poor fuck he is to be wearing it though, and most monsters don't really give a shit about plate (repair prices must be ridiculous).

Still, there's nothing sexier then well designed full plate.

i've been in love with those too sets of armor, the light and heavy knight since the moment i laid eyes on them

Who else /bitch tears/ at this scene?

it helped it went against dragon age 2

>You can't have good facial animations in an open-world RPG with dozens and dozens of different characters. It's just not possib-

The acting is really on point. I love the the way he suddenly backs up when he flips her over.

:^)

They really did a spectacular job.

...

>TW1
>Geralt's voice acting is try hard bullshit
>TW3
>Geralt's voice acting is organic, fleshed out, emotive

how did they manage this? every other gritty voiced mother fucker seems to deteriorate (I'm looking at you, Jensen)

i wonder if i've ever seen a decent crying animation before. thinking about it, it feels like they always just close their eyes and open their mouths or cover their face.

Yeah, it's one of those emotions along with laughing or anger that most devs struggle to pull off.

It felt like Geralt was more emotionless in TW1, maybe as a product of amnesia.

This damn scene destroys my soul because I read the books, jesus christ not again.

I rocked this in the original campaign and this in the expansions

Yeah, this is my head cannon too.

This meme that CDPR is somehow small and working with few resources and money is so stupid that I actually think some drones and shills actually believe it to be true

From the interviews with the English voice actor he was really waiting for Geralt's character to finally open up because the story would be about his "family" and friends, he did a good job especially with the damn gruff voice.

When you replay the game or rewatch the cutscenes you suddenly realize how organic the dramaturgy feels.

Russian voice actor said he tried to do the same thing. He even noted that he enjoyed flirt scenes the most because of how smug Geralt becomes.
