I'll bro around with you user. Add Buck Berserk to your contacts. I don't play often but I do what friends to have fun with.
>what's new
POSs in process of being replaced by things called citadels you can dock in them, and dock supers in the biggest one so WH space is kinda lol now
Goons got shit on by like 30,000niggers being funded by Casino money and mittens cried but now they print money in Delve cause rorqs mine like 12hulks ducktapped together
cant remember anything else different
also pandemic horde is recruiting
oh new ships called command destoryers can teleport you 100km off a gate, if you see magic sparks coming out of a destoryer
panic
I added you
fucking damage control is passive now?? crazy shit
Post Merlin fits please.
thats a merlin?
Word. Also you can buy and sell SP now. Check out injectors and extractors in the market.
I hope not. I liked the Merlin model. I'm also stupid enough to do things like never touch a nemesis again when they turn it from best model to retarded crab.
p2w?
Are Hornets good? I've read that people mostly use Hobgoblins, but are Hornets a good alternative?
No, user. It's still eve so its pay to lose.
Yes, that's a Merlin.
its the same as it ever was just now your not stuck with some rando named character when you buy it off the character bazaar, you just buy the SP and inject it into your own named character
>you can buy and sell SP now
Holy shit something tells me this did not go over well with the community
kek this is dead when star citizen drops. theyre trying to milk whatever they can out for the last few months
god damn star citizen faggots
What's a nice guild to join? Can I do questing in newbie space for a while until I have saved some gold to equip myself properly in neutral/hostile zones?
>kek this is dead when star citizen drops
Well then they still probably have several years to milk it
hisec is boring just join a newbie friendly nullsec group
Yes, however instead of a guild it'll be a corp, instead of quests, they are called missions, and instead of gold it is isk.
Brave Newbies,Pandemic Horde,Dreddit,Karmafleet
>guild
>gold
What are you doing
Does the toon's faction/race matter much in terms of gameplay?
You just came back to a game that's in its last years essentially. It's so old and plays like a browser game. I'd give it another year and a half and Eve will be dead. CCP spend more money than they make so they added even more shit for you to spend your money on. The devs disagree on everything and it's never about the game or ships or added new content it's just how to milk money out of players.
At least modern games are honest enough to tell you they want to rape your wallet.
He should complete the starter quest line and tutorial though before he does that
I don't think most null sec groups are willing to take in someone who doesn't know the difference between their cpu, powergrid, and cap. Also they've updated the tutorial to teach players a few things related to pvp that are taken for granted as common practices for more experienced players
only for free to play accounts, race=race of the ships your stuck flying
thats okay, I was just planning on spending my time blowing through all my ships in low or null anyway
>this load of bs
depends, are you going to be a f2p account?
tutorial sure, career missions no
we have newbros in horde fleets that dont know what stargates are
I like it. You can clean up wasted SP and get isk for it without selling the character in the bazaar. You can also take a loss and drain a character instead of selling them entirely if you want to keep the name or portrait. On the other side, It also gives, I think, new players something achievable to work for. I have never suggested new players grind for plex because it's hard to move a mountain of gravel when you have a shovel and you should wait till you have a bulldozer. The injectors cost less and help you 'catch up' to veterans. I have no idea how the community as a whole feels as I've been mostly bittervet for three years now.
You have to find them yourselves. You want to avoid the mass-recruiting nullsec corps because you'll be another face in the crowd. You want to avoid corps who don't use voip because eve is about building relationships and fighting with comrades. Just check out your corp recruitment tab and send messages to the people. You're looking for a group of good guys who you can shoot the shit with while doing the boring ass isk grind. Also, equipment doesn't make you ready for null or low sec. Knowledge does. And you'd be ready now with your skills if you knew how to play, don't fall into the trap that you're not ready yet or you need x moduole tech 2 or y ship hull.
>You want to avoid the mass-recruiting nullsec corps because you'll be another face in the crowd.
yeah cause 24/7 content given to you on a platter is bad for newbros
I don't really like the idea of paying out a month of game time before I've tried almost everything that's allowed with a free account. And I've heard that it's possible to grind enough gold to pay for a month's gametime, so maybe I'll do that, then once I have a month of a non free acount I'll evaluate if I should pay a subscription or not. Seems that before free accounts used to be timed trials but with all the features of a paid one, such a shame I missed that.
I'm in Goonswarm and enjoy my time here, ask me almost anything
tfw not business-minded enough to get the most out of EVE
i just cant be arsed to make multiple characters and maximize efficiency and all that crap
>Coonswarm
He's is kinda right the numbers go down every year. It used to be much higher. Even all the new stuff doesn't bring in new people. Look what happened to Dust 514
>I've heard that it's possible to grind enough gold to pay for a month's gametime
just play on a f2p account for awhile, don't try to grind for a plex, its possible but its will literally be a 2nd job
and no, old trial account had a fuckton of restrictions on skills/ships you can fly just like the new "extended trial" its even less features but infinite time now, cause old trial could fly any race ship cruiser and down iirc
OP here, I gotta go
If anyone wants to fuck around with me I'm ubertaco (I know its a stupid name)
add me to your contacts and send me a message or something
Didn't they get stomped recently?
Depends on what "recently" is for you, but they did get removed from the North and now live in Delve if that is what you are referring to.
Meme spouting faggots living in napfests provide the worst content in eve. Newbies used to be pretty cool, they were always willing to undock if a fight was offered, now I dunno.
If the effort to revive red vs blue had any success. Check out them for learning to fight. Understand that this is not a group where you earn isk, this is a group where you spend isk to buy spaceship explosions. You'll want another character you can grind rocks or missions with to fund the pvp habit.
>until I have saved some gold to equip myself properly in neutral/hostile zones
yea sure. then 5 minutes after you delve into lowsec you will be gangraped by a bunch of god knows who, lose all the things you saved for and quit the game for good.
Instead gather the cheapest shit you have and head for the FW. Continue losing ships until you learn how not to.
Who are the underdogs in the most active FW conflict now?
its a niche game, it never was/is going to be WoW numbers, the huge spike in 2013 is when "this is eve" or whatever the fuck happened that had alot of news coverage on videogame sites and tons of active trial accounts going
the new feature push of Citadels/Capital ship rebalance/design, Sov change and f2p pushed the numbers back up alot
game literally has years left in it
how much does 40 mil sp go for?
I haven't played FW for years now so I don't know. But I always heard Minmatar was the underdogs against amarr but again, I'm not completely sure. You should check out the forums.
>Meme spouting faggots living in napfests provide the worst content in eve
think you mean TEST?
brave/horde is some of the best content ingame for solo/smallgang dudes
gank a VNI, kill the first couple dudes from standing fleet and bounce. repeat
and napfests are good, they arent blue standings so you get fights without having to deal with fozziesov for moons constantly like who the fuck actually enjoys bashing structures
54billion isk roughly
500,000sp per injector @ 678mil a pop but you start getting less actual sp per injector based on your total sp so it would be more actually
Minmatar and Caldari were really dominant not too long ago, now it's been changing quite a bit
>who the fuck actually enjoys bashing structures
I for one enjoyed two-maning all the POCOS in our wh. It granted a great opportunity to read which I hadn't done for a long time.
Are the Brutors niggers?
>wh
you wh people aren't normal though
or even people imo
How do I catch and kill interceptors?
With other interceptors.
yeah, all minmatar are slaves of amarr, just some escaped into space
Can any destroyers hit them?
If you can catch them yes.
Dreddit isn't that great for new players. Join Brand Newbros instead if you want to live in Sansha space.
what about for a player that has a decent amount of experience, a ton of expensive ships, and zero fucks to give about losing them?
A WH corp with a nullsec static
m8 eve's best days are behind it
2012ish was the pinnacle
>hisec is boring
spotted the poorfag lads
t. 200mil passive per day from manufacturing RIGHT AT JITA without even undocking, and from directly buying from sell and selling to buy
My friend gave me his EVE account with 170m SP and a bunch of ships, its supposed to be really good but I'm not really interested in this game.
What are some fun stuff I can do with this character? and what are some quality noob friendly corp?
>1) extract all the SP except for manufacturing, science and trading
>2) sell the SP for quite a lot
>3) proceed to do this
>4) (optional) bot Jita markets
How does that disprove his claim? Highsec is boring even if it is profitable.
When you eventually decide to quit the game can I have your stuff?
