Opinion discarded

I'd bet my ballsack you haven't spent 100 hours with each of those games

Interesting... why do you rank TESO over Skyrim?

I don't really care for the Skyrim story. ESO has more places to explore and I give it a lot of points for being MP TES

>Fallout 4 > Oblivion
I know the sudden onslaught of Oblivion threads about a year ago trigger you all, but it's still no excuse to ever go full retard.

morrowind>oblivion>skeeram

never played arena or daggerfall

Daggerfall installation has been sitting on my computer for a long while, how accessible is it? I'm afraid I'm too pleb for it.
I've beaten Morrowind, by the way.

It's not like the modern elder scrolls at all. It's more like a 3D version of Dwarf Fortress's Adventure gamemode.

I've played Dwarf Fortress for a short while, maybe I'm up to the task. Honestly, I don't like how the world is randomly-generated, I feel like the experience won't be on the level of Morrowind which had predefined towns and characters.

Realistically, where do you guys see the next Elder Scrolls taking place?

My money is on a region between High Rock and Hammerfell, basically a spiritual successor to Daggerfall, also gives some variety in the landscape

Daggerfall>Skyrim>Morrowind>Oblivion>Arena>ESO

>Arena over anything

There's a main quest line that isn't randomly generated but you need to be like either level 3 or level 5 to start it. (apart from the first letter you get where you need to meet lady Brissana or whatever her name is.)

I think there are also some side quests with the Daedra and a few faction quests that aren't randomly generated but that's it.

The quests in Daggerfall all take from templates, so interesting things can sometimes happen in them like getting a better offer from an enemy faction or the quest itself can be related to an artifact.

there won't be a next elder scrolls, theyƬll just keep making eso expansions

Thanks for elaborating on the game, I'll give it a try this year, when I have more free time. I want to dedicate myself to it.

Speaking of Daggerfall, is it worth upgrading to the UESP version if I'm already well into the dosbox version of it?

There are also neat features from Daggerfall that I think should have been kept in for future Elder Scrolls games, like the holiday system where several of the holidays allow you to summon Daedra for their related quests, and others have small gameplay effects or serve as text to flesh out the world. I also like the combat and political system in Daggerfall.

le skyrim is le worst game of all time completely unplayable i'd rather bang rocks together meme

I just got a new pc and I want to get skyrim special edition. I want to be able to mod it, is it better to get steam or not?

What the fuck are you talking about?
If you're gonna pay for it then you don't have a choice.

Sorry son, I've never had steam before. I haven't paid for a video game since Warcraft 2

Both the pirated and the steam version are moddable so you shouldn't have issues either way.

Do the mods cost money too, or are they the same ones available through nexus?

Mods are always free

das it

Morrowind was my first game, and it is awesome, but after Oblivion i tried Daggerfall, and I can said that Daggerfall is the greatest RPG i ever play.

seriously, don't get the SE
