I had a buddy I grew up playing these games with. I forced myself to finish C&C4 in his memory, and it some some small comfort that he never had to see it.

Not much of a preference I guess. The most memorable to me is RA3's intro

Wat do?

Zofia a best.

I think they actually represent medals. It's easier to fit a bunch of ribbons on a uniform than a bunch of medals.

Are they real medals or just colored for shits and giggles?

Does anyone remember playing tour of Egypt online RA2 Yuris revenge? 3v3 those were the fucking days. I was absolutely shit at the game and lost every game but man I loved it.

I can't say. I don't know much about the military. The coloring doesn't look much different from what I've seen real generals wearing, though, so they might be real.

Gentlemen, this is a nuclear device

Not C&C but Emperor Battle for tune is my second most favourite Westwood game

wasn't there a game where Lando wanted you to nuke Nod so he could make you his 2nd and stay president for life or did I hallucinate that?

No, you didn't hallucinate it. It was C&C 3, Tiberium Wars.

It wasn't technically a nuke, though. It was a Liquid Tiberium Bomb.

Tiberian Wars had something like that. Recommend downloading Tiberian Essence if you're gonna go back to that one.

Ex military here. Ribbons are worn to stand for actual medals. Medals are expensive and only worn for very formal occasions. I had about 10 ribbons when i got out of the navy and never had to buy any medals but was awarded i think 2 of them. Each ribbon costs a couple bucks. Each medal is like 15 or more dollars.

Szczę na twą ącowiznę! Odezwij wojska!

Wait, they make people in the military pay for their own medals and ribbons?

>who /MentalOmega/ here?
Unit ready

Also i forgot to add that ribbons are only worn on dress uniforms. In the navy that is dress whites or dress blues. Think of the cracker jack uniform with the doxie cup hat (cover).

Interesting, thanks for the info m8

Yes but you get a uniform allowance of about 150 bucks every other year.

Which usually covers most stuff but uniforms get worn or youll have to have new badges and patches sewn on or new boots or coats and shit adds up quick. I camo coat costs 100 bucks.

I always got steamrolled, and the campaign not allowing saves turned me off last time I played it.

Seems kind of like punishing people for doing well.

"Congratulations on your excellent service. We hereby award you this medal. That'll be $15.99, soldier."

And you even pay for your uniforms issued in boot camp so your first paycheck is deducted like 500 bucks.

in 3.3 they nerfed the easy difficulty down by quite alot and half of act 2 missions are realised.

So does all the taxpayer money go to things like the F-35 or something?

Food infastructure weapons and salary

That must be especially shitty for Purple Heart recipients.

At least Red Alert died soon enough to not be thoroughly bastardized by EA, unlike the main series.
