Breath of the Wild just reached 50 10/10s on Metacritic

Where were you when Nintendo literally BTFO every single videogame of the last decade?.

I was right there playing it. Currently jerking it to the memory where you are Zeldas thicc ass.

>Zelda games are usually good.
>Zelda games that switch up formula (OoT, Wind Waker) are considered great except for that one game
>A Zelda Game that took a few months was better than OoT
>Ergo a game that took 6 years to get on the Wii U and 7 months to port to the switch should be fucking incredible

>Where were you when Nintendo literally BTFO every single videogame of the last decade?
Kneeling down at my bedside, praying that some day Nintendo might once again release some hardware worth buying.

Seriously. Their games (some of them, at any rate) are fantastic, but often it's just better to wait for the emulators to mature.

I'm enjoying it.
However, it's repetitive combat, awful weapon durability system, and systems that actively disincentivize fighting enemies disqualify it from getting a perfect score.
I can only think of two games I'd give a 10/10.
Metal Gear Solid 3 and Resident Evil (2002 remake)

>you pay more for pic that can actually run an emulator that takes months or years to get games working in both Frame Rate and fucking sound

Aren't 10's handed out like candy on halloween now?

Maybe i'm just out of touch, since i put less than no value in professional "reviews", and even less in diehard fanboi ranting, but i haven't seen a damn thing about this game that makes me want it. Seriously.

If anything, it seems like all the retarded manchildren finally got off OoT's cock, and found a new pile if shit to blow out of proportion and shill for to me.

Sounds like somebody needs to GIT GUD

>Metal Gear Solid 3
Good as a movie, shit as a videogame
>Resident Evil (2002 remake
I agree with this one.

Fuck off Sonyshill.

Wouldnt it be fantastic if nintendo just fucked off trying to make hardware and just did software?

Just like SEGA right?. Geez these kids nowadays don't know how business work.

Games of the last decade have been so bad it didnt take much

I was playing it

It's a much worse Witcher 3 that got bonus points for being Nintendo

...

>this one too?

The game is good because it's not afraid to have fun.

Bethesda would never let you surf on your shield in Skyrim because it's a serious game for serious gamers being serious and mature... and it's boring as shit because of it.

There's also so many goofy people to meet in the towns I love it, like in one store the clerk lady hides in a corner and when you ask about it she explains she feels more brave there. You never see odd stuff like that in western games, unless an NPC is part of quest they generally have no personality at all and they would never give someone an odd personality that might disrupt their dark, serious, totes maturzzzz tone.

Eastern devs aren't afraid of fun and aren't obsessed with striving for some standard of maturity as if that even matters or makes a product good/enjoyable.

''''''''User''''''''Score

Are there dungeons?

>users scores
>relevant at all

The durability system is good though. It keeps people from rushing for game breaking weapons and also adds a whole layer of decision making to each combat encounter.

To any Zelda fan please explain to me how this game is a 10/10? What about the combat, exploration, music, story, and puzzles beat out all previous games of its kind, or even past versions like OoT & WindWaker? This is no doubt a good game and I will absolutely buy it later this year, but from what I've seen it's an 8/10 game.

What's so revolutionary or damn near flawlessly well done about this game that warrants a literal 10/10? Somebody feel free to educate me, because I just don't see it. It's just a good game, it's far from being a masterpeice that breaks barriers.

This. Characters feel strong and fun.

No one consideres user reviews anymore. They were ruined by hatedoms.

framerate knocks it down a point easily for me.

how the fuck can a 2017 game consistently hit low 20 fps. wtf

Witcher 3 mainly looks pretty and isnt particularly good at interactivity or fun

For me, it just makes the combat feel like a waste of resources. Very few worthwhile weapons are dropped by enemies, and enemies barely drop anything when defeated. I don't even think they drop money. So all you get for fighting enemies are broken weapons, and stacks of boko clubs.

>it's not a perfect score so anything less than that is clearly the furthest from the truth
As much as you would like a playstation bogeyman, some 10-scored user reviews were from day 1 and acknowledge they only exist to offset the 0s.

So keep crying, but your game ain't perfect or near it.

Day one 10/10 "user" reviews.

>For me, it just makes the combat feel like a waste of resources
Realism, bro.

>day 1 0/10 troll scores

>launch game
>SMO coming in winter
>splatoon 2 in summer
This is some real fuck over the competition shit. Having a blast with Zelda so far

>that makes the Zero giving Shitposters the right of way

Either way, the gigantic amount of blind 10s and 0s distorts whatever score it deserves

I knew this was coming and was going to reply before you, but here it is.

I'm also admitting the existence and impact of the 0s. I'm not trying to differentiate them from the onslaught of 10s, they serve the same purpose.

No

It's a game that wonders you everytime. Where exploration actually feels like it and is rewarded in every corner. That's what push all the combat, music, story and puzzles that are quite great in every zelda to a 10/10.

Feels like The Legend of Zelda and you just explore and find things and have FUN. Can you imagine it back in the 80? Zelda was the first nes cartridges to include a battery for saving (instead of passwords) so you could have an adventure in which you could go anywhere you wanted. BoTW feels just like that.

Why exactly do you have that part underlined?

Don't tell me you unironically believe the outrageous, hyperbolic claim that the game LITERALLY has no music?

Playing it.
Feels good, man.

Yeah, but look at said users.

Personally a 7.5~9 critic/user score seems in the correct range.

I personally don't care for Nintendo, and even more so Zelda, but I can understand it's a "10/10" for fans maybe but to me of course it would seem like over-hyped bullshit.

Barring obvious console wars they don't support, the other side is only in the business to make money. Everybody can bait and switch praising a game to increase traffic and sales, so why not parrot?

>even the metacritic user reviews are falseflagging

>B-but the reviews don't count w-when it's a game I like!

Take your reply, that's all you're good for.

If you actually believe any of the reviews I've posted should count, legit kill yourself.

And I'm certain Nintendo didn't pay those people.

So Nintendo shelled out a large sum to reviewers? Must be a shit game.

It's a 7.5 Better than zero dawn but not as good as nier.

You 15 year olf faggots are annoying. Mods need to delete this review worshipping shit.

s0nyggers literally destroyed

It broke the lazy monotonous cycle of shitty open worlds by not limiting the player and not babysitting him
Bethesda and Ubisoft needed to be stopped

Nintendo is too cheap to pay reviewers.

You're not even subtle at this point.
Aside from your weak bait, I would hope you know nobody agrees that it's one sided.

>Your sword is close to breaking!
>Throw it
>Explodes in goblins face and sends him reeling

>run over there
>do the shrine
>run over here
>do the shrine
>climb this ubisoft tower for a map
>climb this mountain
>do the shrine
>climb that mountain
>do the shrine
>climb another ubisoft tower for a map

Reminder sony haters are real

The game has good exploration agreed, but it's not a literal 10/10 that redefines much of anything. If I compared it to say Skyrim for example it's not as if it's doing anything that new, it's just got that Zelda spin to it. If it wasn't Zelda would you honestly say the exploration is a 10/10? What about the combat? All you really do is dodge enemies and then slow-time down to launch a flurry of attacks, how is that 10/10 combat? The shrines are neat, but that all look the same & the puzzles don't really vary enough to make it THAT much different. It's cool, but again, is it 10/10 and groundbreaking? Not really.

The story as well, does it truly deserve a 10/10? What makes it so much more interesting than any other Zelda games story? It's just Ganon doing his thing with a few twists, but it's nothing insane. Again, it's good but it's not amazing.

I really think that if you took the Zelda name away from this it'd be just another good game, but not a masterpiece.

What the hell are you all talking about?

The user rating is 7.5 because, as we can all see, retarded Sony fans are rating 0's tons of times.

Don't see how you could disagree when the proof is right there.

>sonybros will never play the best game of all time

However fans will send out death threats and harassment for anything less than a 9.5.

Ubisoft have been shit since 2007, Bethesda have gotten complacent as fuck from lack of competition and shit out Fallout 4

You sure convinced everybody, champ. Keep it up.

Maps are barely even useful and barely part of the game, nimrod

top kek

>still a worse game than tony hawk pro skater 2

SO HERE I AM

> it's repetitive combat, awful weapon durability system, and systems that actively disincentivize fighting enemies
D-D-D-DELETE THIIEEEEES!!!!!!!!!!

>but from what I've seen it's an 8/10 game

oh ok

...

I don't need to convince anyone, the proof is in the comments, see for yourself. Here is a nice image just giving a short detailing:

b-but horizon zero dawn

>For me, it just makes the combat feel like a waste of resources

Its because you're uncreative and unthinking. You want combat to be pressing A and never having to worry

Keep it up, champ.

majority of opinions =/= correct opinions

>nintendo effortlessly shit out gotyay
>sonyfriends mad

lol

I don't care what people say.
Been playing BotW for almost a week. It's definitely one of the best and most refined games I have ever played.

It's not that no other game has ever done the things that BotW does before. They have.
It's just that no game has ever done all of them at once in such an expert manner. Nintendo just gave every other developer out there a masterclass on how to design a proper open world game while avoiding all the common pitfalls of the genre.

Yeah, it's not a bad game at all, but other games have done pretty much the exact same thing this game did. This just has a Zelda spin to it, and it's even really better than previous Zelda games when you compare the specific Zelda qualities to each other. It doesn't deserve a 10/10. A 10/10 game breaks barriers or just does what other games have done far better.

I don't think any Zelda fan can honestly claim that about this game.

You too :).

Keep it up, champ.

and it isn't even any better than previous Zelda games*

I get it now.

The opinions that you personally agree with are the correct opinions.

At last I truly see.

50 hipsters with nostalgia gave Zelda a 10/10?

Are we talking about Skyward Sword or Breath of the Wild?

>10/10

10 enemy types?

The games a 7 at best.

-Big empty world
-Reskins reskins everywhere
-Breaking
-Ton of exclusive content behind miibo and DLC/Season pass paywall
-Terrible voice acting
-Infinite bombs/recharge meter makes everything mundane why they took out the magic meter who knows

Overall Breath of the Wild is show piece of ambition vs Company Direction. Had Nintendo not cheaped out with the NX and if they thought of their fanbase as anything more than brain dead toddlers all of those issues would be fixed except the voice acting and it would be great.

No
It means that you shouldn't believe someone just because they say something is true
Unless you play the game and formulate your own opinion and rating, you can't give it a rating or believe any other rating that doesn't base said rating on objective points
Just because some no-name "reviewers" (in quotation marks because reviewing shit isn't a fucking job) give a game a 10/10 doesn't mean it's a 10/10

No, but an average is an average.
I'd sooner trust 5k user reviews (flooded with 0s and 10s) than catered reviews by companies who want increased traffic by sucking dick all day and be in Nintendo's favor.

Jesus Christ I love these threads and knowing I will never spend money on consoles, I just need to wait 2 or 3 years for these things to get emulated and I got 30+ years of backlog to play (for free, with the controller I want and while also shitposting on my other display)

This may surprise you, but PCs can do more than play games. (hint: work) And by the time CEMU is genuinely worthwhile, the required PC specs will be dirt cheap.

Samefag

I love complex combat systems, but you lose far more than you gain from fighting enemies. I haven't found any shops that sell weapons, enemies don't drop money, and the weapons they drop aren't useful.

It could be argued that you can sell the monster parts they drop, but from what I've played so far the only things there are to spend money on are arrows and the odd armour upgrade here and there.
I just don't think BotW's combat is very rewarding outside of the visceral nature of the combat itself.
My favourite part of Zelda has always been the dungeons, so I'm having a lot of fun hunting for and doing the shrines.

Just for combat, you mention one of the many, many ways to aproach it. You can parry them to with your shield, or use arrows, arrow bullet time while falling, any of your skills like pulling a giant metal box with and hit the head of your enemy with it, or if its raining you can throw a metal weapon to an enemy to make a thunder fall on its head, you can light fire to grass to create an raising air stream and use the paraglider to raise up and fall them in the head with your sword, you can just throw them your swords if you want, etc, etc.

That's combat but all situations are the same. In other words, this is a game where you can approach every situation in so many ways that you never stop to be amazed.

This better be a fucking one-off, because I want this, god damn it.

Quit your fucking SOULS and SKYRIM memes.

>being this smug about experiencing things years after everyone else for the rest of your life

Whatever floats your boat

Here's your (You)
I'm 793, please learn basic english so you could better discern the meaning between the two posts
I say trust your guts, the other guy says trust what others say
You fucking idiot, stop being such a moron and think for your own fucking self for once

>(hint: work)
>working outside the office
Lmaoing at your life right now. I don't even have office in my computers.

BotW being so highly rated is the most baffling thing to me.

Terrible performance, empty world, fucking terrible weapon degradation system, like no fucking music, etc

But it's the highest rated game EVER.

Did Nintendo just bribe every fucking game reviewer in the world? Is it some bandwagon that somehow everyone on the planet got ensnared into?

It honestly makes no sense to me, because it's a 7/10 AT BEST.

Yeah, it's good, worthy of an 8, but it's not a 10/10 masterpiece is my point. I'm not hating on the game, at all. I think it's a good game that's worth buying if you're a Zelda fan, and later down the line when more games come out for the switch as a casual gamer. However, nothing about this game warrants a 10/10. It's nothing amazing or groundbreaking, it's just another good game.

I was playing the game realizing it was a 7.5/10 at most

>caring about metacritic

Its a great game but you don't need a bunch of paid shills to tell you that. Also metacritc user reviewers are a fucking shitshow of autistic fanboys rating things based on there own biases instead of actually playing the game

MAD AS FUCK SONYFAG
