do you have to redo all of the side quests in ng+ in nier automata?
Do you have to redo all of the side quests in ng+ in nier automata?
No.
Nope
you have to do the shop keepers quests
Because those are main quests, not side quests.
Anyone know what's going on?
Right outside the oil field access point in the desert there's a red area on the map and sometimes a ??? quest appears in active quests pointing to it but there's nothing there.
oh when does the game start being different? i'm in the desert now
The B route is very similar to the A route aside from the sections where 2B and 9S are separated, most obviously towards the end. You'll get a bit more backstory on the areas and bosses as you go along, though.
Proposal: Continue to care for this pod.
>Hay kid, wanna 9/ss/
>omelette du fromage
How soft are 2B's 2Bs?
>hay
I'm retarded, please forgive and kill me
As soft as Zangief's chest.
>nier automata is in 1 week on PC
WHY ARE WE ALWAYS ON THE KEK END OF THE STICK
so i'm basically replaying the entire game with everything the same? well that kinda sucks if you do it right after you beat it the first time
is ng++ different at least?
>How soft are 2B's 2Bs?
Actually probably not all that soft because her tits are just part of her torso covered with synthetic skin
Post the one with the lip bite kiss. Deadass the hottest 2B/9S pic.
Because Pc is a meme
>play nier
>route a and b are kinda meh
>b picks up at the end
>MFW ROUTE FUCKING C
HOLY FUCK
Endings A and B are half of the game. Endings C, D and E cover the second half of the game. It's not a NG+ system like other games.
The real game starts after ending B, arguably.
This one?
______No
>developer who makes games that are known to be short but insanely replayable
>mixed with a creator who's games are made to be replayed to get the full content
You know, getting PG to develop Nier was incredibly smart in hindsight.
>the real game starts after playing an 8-hour tutorial twice
It's okay when Yoko Taro does it.
A and B was just the tutorial, the real game starts now.
Yeah i know it just kinda sucks having to put another 15-20 hours in doing the same thing just to get to part c
Yeah, that one. It's such a simple action but wew it makes the whole thing hotter.
How in the fuck are you supposed to use plug in chips? i'm on ng+ and i'v just been having them automaticly set by the girl the whole time
It really shouldn't take you more than 3 or so hours at most. You don't need to do sidequests, and you know where to go and what you need to do.
what in the fuck is that from?
>tfw the pre-game characterization ideas were all wrong and 9S is the sexually aggressive one
That Yoko Taro knows what the fuck he's doing.
>running around in the desert
>find this
h-help...
muh ocd
and who do you play as in part c? isn't 9S the only one that can open the chests?
2B should be the dominate one and peg 9S
>who do you play as in part c?
Ask the panda guardian about female:lolicon and female:vomit to find the author.
You switch between 9S and A2 and unlock chapter select as soon as you get either ending C or D. Don't worry so much, you can't miss anything in this game.
explain. is this easteregg or something important?
Disagree. The combat gets stale, and the bosses get less interesting as the game goes on.
I really think the length of the game was a hurdle that PG failed to clear.
GOD DAMNIT
>A2 appears
>2B is about to die
>ALRIGHT, time to best grill, actually do so
>get thrown back to 9S
play
the
game
does part c take off after the final boss in a and b?
You might just want to keep playing instead of asking spoilery questions, but yeah.
>Don't worry so much, you can't miss anything in this game.
thanks hopefully devola and popola actually do something in c or d
>Implying that's a bad thing
but 2B is the best grill
The true final boss
I honestly wasn't expecting them to have that kind of relationship at all (though I was kinda hoping they would after the demo came out), except possibly a one-sided infatuation from 9S's side.
Then not only did it happen, turns out it's an integral part of the story and the central motivation of both characters. God bless Yoko Taro.
Yeah i know it's just i'm really curios but i can't play anymore of the game for at least a week or 2 since i will be busy moving tommorow
thanks life
What ever happend to those emil shirts? can you buy them?
>Pod 042 and A2 interactions
That's kinda cool.
>What ever happend to those emil shirts? can you buy them?
No fucking idea, I've been stalking my local Gamestop to see if they've got their shipment in since I picked up my preorder Monday night
No fucking luck
Will any gaming pair ever top these two?
Brother Nier and Kaine
>new Yoko Taro game
>prepare myself for suffering and fucked up character relationships that end ultimately in tragedy
>get 2B/9S instead
I mean, their relationship is a little fucked up and the story is fucking tragic but they're surprisingly heart warming together. The whole game seems like a rejection of nihilism and I'm a little proud of Taro for going outside his normal comfort zone with it.
>That philosopher robot sidequest
>Scientist robot sidequest that makes you pay a fuckton of money
>Desert fetch quests
im not too far in the game yet, but if the sidequests don't start improving my opinion on this game is going to drop pretty drastically
I was going to mention those two, but I never played NieR to experience it to the fullest.
S-Sorry.
How the fuck do I get emil to sell weapons? I stop him outside the resistance camp and all he sells are +6 chips
Is this just "I was just pretending to be retarded" the quest?
baka senpai desu
It's random I think senpai
The difference is that he gets paid for doing it.
>who do you play as in part c?
Play the fucking game. Why are you asking for spoilers?
As much as I like those two, 2B9S is cuter and their relationship is more prominent in their game's plot.
That's only because Nier didn't get all this cute shipping fanart.
Young Brother Nier was made for bullying, and timeskip Brother Nier was made for awkward attempts to express affection through their mutual edgelord exteriors.
>Just double died and lost all my equipped chips for the first time.
it hurts
>Accidentally stumble into an arena with a level 20 enemy when I'm still level 7
>Beat him and he introduces himself as a monk
This game is pretty okay
Father Servo is the best
>As payment for allowing you train with the mighty and wise Father Servo, I will accept the following machine parts.
>But you just randomly attacked us!
>W-would you really deny an old monk his one request...?
He's the best.
>go to the apartments during the philosopher quest
>walk back to the Adam arena
>level 38 giant and an Akbar that's screaming at me
Ran away laughing my ass off. He still got me
>boss fight
>die
>get annoyed at having to start over
>get pleasantly surprised that it checkpointed me mid fight
>forget about death penalty
>die again and lose chips
thankfully it was just in the first route, wont make that mistake again
Honestly looking back at first Nier we could see Devola/Popola story as an example of how deep the infatuation between two androids go, and 9S/2B's story is easily more tragic.
You missed the Serious Sam reference in the desert, I take it?
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Didn't know it was a direct reference but that was my first thought
There's a section in the desert area by the ruins of Facade where dozens of them run out of the horizon and chase your ass down the dune, just like that section in Serious Sam 2.
What, are you serious?
Finding that shit tonight thanks user
That world guide novel described how and why she fell for him pretty well.
I heard I can recover my items from the prologue, how do I? I don't have to beat that pair of level 25 fuckers outside do I?
Any cucklord here have this image but without 9S, or something similar with 2B lying down??
>tries to be cold and serious
>is actually charmed by his talkativeness and inquisitive nature
>constantly has to keep herself in check because she responds to him naturally
>has to kill him multiple times, her despair and reluctance growing each time
>welcomes the release of death so she can stop hurting him and finally smile at him the way she longs to and call him 'Nines'
2B had a hard life
Can someone post a picture of 2B hanging from the robot with her skirt up?
you run back to the remainder of the giant bridge at the factory and find your old body
He looks like Slaine.
How long is this game? Worth the $60?
How do androids have sex again? They have no sexual organs and can only derive pleasure from combat and drugs.
>being alone is a fate worse than death and while the world has no higher meaning or purpose you can find it in people around you
>you need to rely on others to succeed
>that one insignificant little guy you usually ignore but who is always nearby can save your day at some point
>don't just dismiss other people and don't think too highly of yourself, you're just like them and not above them
>love can poison your life and make you mad but ultimately this is the most beautiful thing possible in this world
>humanity is terrible yet fascinating
Is this really the same guy who wrote two drakengards? What the fuck happened with you, Taro?
You know that open area right below the buildings where you first touched down with your flight units? There's a collapsed bridge there that you can climb and follow to get back to the abandoned factory. 2B's large sword and old body are down by the water, where the bridge used to be before the bosses ruined it. Not sure if you actually need the relevant email from 6O or not, but you get it really early anyway.
30 hours or so for the the main endings, a lot more than that if you're going for full completion. Which you should, the sidequests tell you a lot about the world and the characters.
The Drakengard series and the first Nier was him taking a jab at all the tropes that were common in Japanese video games and JRPGs.
This is him taking a jab at a character-focused narrative rather than poking fun at gaming habits and turning it on its head.
I do wish there were a lot more suffering, though.
>What the fuck happened with you, Taro?
He realized humanity is irredeemable and learned to appreciate the good things it can accomplish to their fullest extent
In its defence, if you've already done most of the side quests for your first run (which you should), your second run will be surprisingly short if you just run through the main storyline,
He tries to be experimental, basically never doing the same two themes for his games.
Guys, where do I find the Yorha drugees? The oil field access point? Do they disappear after you finish Route B?
The area is where Pod C can be found. I found it immediately as I approached the area from the desert's entrance, so try searching from that direction.
>only game where there's even a remotely good end is the game with no humans in it
Really makes you think...
>they are ultimately saved and given another chance by someone who was always nearby and witnessed all the pain both of them has suffered
>his serial number also means the "Answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything"
Yeah they should be above the oil field.
Above? As in, on the map?
There's a cliff area that you can make your way up to from the oil field.
Ahhh. I recognized some steps there, but I couldn't seem to get on them. Alright, thanks.
I just got endings A and G.
Is there a guide of shit to do to get the remaining endings? Am I going to have to collect a billion weapons again?
