>Beats Wii launch in US after 2 days, continues to do so after 5 days

Are we pretending the PS4 didn't sell 1m in 1 day and 3 million in a week?

So far sucks to be Sup Forums and whatever shit sold out gaming journalism sites full on drank the Sony kool-aid which I assume is most of them since it can be so blatant sometimes. Of course the real challenge for Nintendo starts now in do they actually support their system past the first 20 months or so of development for a change.

DELET THIS

What's that have to do
With the point?
In fact it's sad that many people wanted to buy a Blu-Ray Player with no games

b-but muh 6 quintillion hardware fail video...

As opposed to a tablet with no games and no glass?

Well that's not hard, considering that the PS4 and Xbox One aren't portable. Also don't have any games.

>Of course the real challenge for Nintendo starts now in do they actually support their system past the first 20 months or so of development for a change.
They will if it doesnt fail as badly as the Wii U which it obviously hasnt

Bought a Switch day one and fucking love it.
Can't wait for Stardew Valley to be out.

Blue rays are way cheaper than a ps4 now.

so many retards who bought piece of buggy plastic and 1 game

DELETE THIS

>haha look the switch is selling
>PS4 sold well too
>b-but no gaems!
?

> dem ninpigs mantras
cry more, kid

Between Wii U's launch of November 18, 2012 to December 31, 2012, the Wii U sold over 3M units
Then proceeded to only sell 13M by December 31, 2016
A strong start does not guarentee it will continue to do well

>switch
>games
xD

SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP GET OUT OF NINTENDO THREAD REEEEEEEEEEE

I'm really quite happy the Switch is doing so well so far.
Nintendo really burned me with the Wii U, sure it has some great games but they are few and far inbetween.
Let's hope the Switch continues to have lots of great support. The Nintendo support is already amazing. So many great games coming out in just the first year.
Don't let me down again, Nintendo.

>ps4 comes it
>it will fail!
>does well

>switch comes out
>it will fail!
>does well

The fuck is wrong with console warriors.

>stuck with one game
>ONE
>1
>uno
>tfw i'll buy the revised version 1-2 years from now while you niggers withstand the faulty release model

Are you retard? the first months new console always sells well. Just wait and to see the shitch become irrelevant after that

I think the Wii U selling 3m units in the first few months thing is probably false. I think those numbers are actually the shipped numbers which just means what retailers ordered not what people bought from stores.

Uhh, hey, can you delete this? Thank you.

>being poor

That was the holiday season you fucking mong

Do you think before you post?

It's no more false than the numbers in the OP. The fact of the matter is that launch sales numbers are not an indicator of success for consoles, especially Nintendo consoles. The Wii U sold nearly the same amount of units in Japan as the Switch. Wii U preorders sold out and the console was constantly out of stock in its first few weeks. Even the 3DS had high launch sales, and the 3DS was initially considered a failure before they cut the price and gave out ambassador games.

Come back in 6 months to a year, then we can talk about how well the Switch is doing and whether or not it is going to fail.

>not being an early adopter means your poor

literal retard

>console war faggotry
An ideal situation is where the PS4 and Switch do well because it will keep Nintendo/Sony competitive, which is best for the consumer. The PS4 is the dominant platform not because it's a Fantastic machine, but because the xbone and Wii U where huge fuckups.

The xbone sold a million in a day as well. What do you want, a medal?

>The xbone sold a million in a day as well.
No it didn't.

To Microsoft's great shame, and Sup Forums had a field day.

Filthy liar.

That game isn't even exclusive.

Who's buying Isaac for the fifth time ITT?

>Beats Wii launch in US after 2 days
I know you were most likely in diapers when the Wii launched but there were not nearly enough of them being produced to meet demand, the 2 day US sales for the Wii were low as fuck because no one could buy one. The Switch has the opposite problem, the people who wanted them bought theirs already and now they're just sitting on store shelves. It won't even be able to come within a million of the Wii U's first month sales, lol. Not to mention there isn't an exclusive system seller until Mario, which doesn't have a release date and is a minimum of 6 months away.

>been a week
>not even 1 million sold
>"b-best console launch ever!"

>Don't let me down again, Nintendo

>Sonybro delusion reaches peak after being BTFO by the Switch

>exclusive system seller
BotW isn't exclusive, but to the average consumer who doesn't own a Wii U it might as well be.

>has no games
>still blew the Switch completely out of the fucking water within 24 hours despite being MORE expensive

It's been put for a long time now.

yes it did. It launched worldwide though. PS4 launched in US only and still sold 1 million in its first 24 hours.

>more people have seen crowbcat's switch fail video than people who've bought a switch

>rationally posting in a console war thread
get the fuck out

Nigger, they have horizon, nier, nioh, the uncharteds, the crash remasters and godfuckingknows what else. You only have Breath of the Wild and the overwhelming majority of upcoming titles are multiplats.

What is this "sony being BTFO by the switch" you speak of?

>not having enough money to buy whatever you want at a whim

alright poorfag

means nothing if it doesn't have actual games this time. hopefully nintendo can make good games instead of the usual garbage lately. and a proper metroid.

The average consumer who doesn't own a Wii U isn't typically buying a console at launch.

>Launch with one strong title
Switch, Wii, N64

>Or Launch with multiple mediocre games
DS, 3DS, Wii U

I think I know which one I'd rather have.

>having a console war thread

That's right I bought a Switch and spent $700 on loot boxes because I can and I'm not a poorfag

Snipperclips looks fun if you have friends

I'm not meming or anything

Are you people uneducated and/or retarded? How lacking are you in critical thinking skills that you can't factor in time? Look at the last Batman movie; made loads opening weekend, then had a high drop-off (even more steep than usual blockbusters)

I have a Switch so don't meme with with Sony fanboy shit. Wait a few years or at least make accurate time-ranged comparisons with other consoles before spouting shit

The Switch can still fail, don't base any ideas off of launch periods

God I hope you're not financially independent

they need some sort of validation to feel better about buying their toy

stop

>Sitting on store shelves.
The switch is still sold out just about everywhere.

>Listing Horizon as a positive
I own a PS4 and I wanna stay far far away from that game. Rest of the games are and you forgot about Persona.

>Scorpio will come out
>it will fail
>it will do well

Console Warriors are retarded. They still think the Switch is a home console and the Scorpio is a home console.

Getting desperate aren't you?

>the Scorpio is a home console.

It's not?

where I'm at I've seen people just walk past stacks of them in shops constantly

I just spent about 150€ on Yu-Gi-Oh cards, just because I felt a bit nostalgic and wanted to play it again.

Last weekend I spent 700€ on a new mattress.

My PC setup costs about 2000€ (4690k+GTX 1080+144hz+other shit).

I'm gonna buy a PS4 pro for my birthday.

As you can see, money isn't the problem, I'm just not a retard. Too bad we can't say the same about you, user.

Sorry, I had forgotten about Persona. I'm not a sonybro... yet.

Cool. I still don't think the switch is doing too hot though. Lots of people I know wanted one, but now that it's out, they read the reviews, and are seeing that video that's being spammed everywhere, and no longer want one. It's the normal fare for a launch (albeit a lot more total critical failures than with ps4/xbone, it's more comparable to the 360 rrod or ylod on ps3s), but for some reason people seem to be a lot more easily dissuaded. I guess the lack of strong multiplats, even. No call of duty is, memes aside, a huge deal. No little kid is gonna want a switch if they can't play the cool games with their friends.

Which is why I clarified exclusive. Also, I think pretty much anyone who would have bought BoTW already bought a Wii U at some point, and are just choosing to buy the new toy because newer=better experience in their minds.

This thing would be an insane value if it came with Zelda and Mario at launch but instead it has nothing but some glorified tech demos, ports, and indie games until like 2018. After the Wii U fiasco I don't think anyone but the most delusional fanboys are going to buy a Switch in advance before the games they're interested in not only have release dates but are sitting on store shelves. The fact that the 3DS is still receiving exclusive games and that even though the Switch is a handheld with HDMI out they aren't treating it as a platform for both handheld games and "console"-like games is a big mistake.
This is anecdotal shit, if they shipped 2 million consoles worldwide and only a million at best have been sold, it obviously isn't sold out. Some areas won't have any for 25 miles, and some will literally have them stacked on top of each other behind the counter. My area is the latter, but they are most definitely not sold out the way the Wii, or even Wii U, were.

the dreamcast once had the most successful launch of all time to.

the dreamcast was a piece of shit though

It's pre-built locked down PC with the Windows 10 OS, it's games are UWP games and it will have more UWP apps then the Xbone, will have the 4K assets in Windows 10 games, and will be unified with Windows 10 while having a Windows Store. You can barely call this thing a console anymore.

The Dreamcast was an amazing system better than anything Nintendo has put out since the SNES, kid.

>tfw this is the end of good Zelda games forever
I can barely get through BoTW. I'm so bored with grinding shrines and climbing mountains.

>It's pre-built locked down PC
In other words its a modern console.

*from Windows 10 games

In other words you didn't read my post.

>every computer is a PC
Found the underage.

I thought nipland had the most people in the world crammed into it, 390k sales is pretty bad

And for a handheld Nintendo system specifically designed for the Japanese market, at that. It is pretty pathetic.

...

>im just not a retard

Buys yugioh cards

In other words your post is irrelavent.

There's no meaningful difference between a pre-built locked down PC that runs off Windows 10 with non-gaming apps and a pre-built locked down PC that runs off FreeBSD with non-gaming apps. The Scorpio is a console as much as the PS4 Pro is, windows store or not.

The "traditional" is dead, the Switch is the closest thing you can call to a modern console. And even then it's arguably a locked down tablet (ie K1) running off a kernal and will eventually have non gaming apps.

>implying I said that at all
Found the samefag.

thats a really good bait, i almost replied seriously

how come that the console with the worst hardware has the game with the best use of mechanics and physics?

no pokemon, not so much as even an announcement of a PORT of a monhun game, no yokai watch, no mario for most of a year, no splatoon even for a month and some change.

The nips really have no reason to buy it right now.

is nintendo finally finished?

HE STILL HASN'T DELETED IT

because nintendo cares about making fun games

sony and Microsoft care about making money and "powerful machines"

god has a cruel sense of humor

>Console Warriors

put me in the screengrab

FUCKING DELET THIS NOW

The Wii U was Nintendo's last home console, the Switch is essentially what the Vita was to the 3DS: More powerful with better controls and a focus on bringing console games on the go. They're just pretending it's a home console to combine both markets of people who buy their home consoles and their handhelds into one flow of sales. Regardless of how the Switch does, the name is symbolic; Nintendo has "Switched" to the handheld/mobile market exclusively.

I'm a retard with money, but never retard enough to buy a switch.

>because nintendo cares about making fun games
>sony and Microsoft care about making money and "powerful machines"
I like Nintendo but son

To be fair, the switch doesn't necessarily need to match the ps4 in order to not to fail. It could take a place as the secondary console that people buy for whatever game whether it be Zelda or maybe a new smash.

Because while Nintendo's game dev teams are talented and creative Nintendo's hardware division is run by jews who refuse to make a non-gimped console that's a loss leader.

BotW would have been 10x better if Nintendo made a console with the Switch's specs back in 2012 instead of the Wii U.

that's why they made a Zelda game for the Wii U that doesn't make use of any of the console's unique functionality beyond motion controls.

I fail to see how that proves the Switch will fail.

I've been waiting for a hand-held console since the ps2. I thought the multiple layer design of the ps2 meant that it had a screen in one of the layers so you didn't need to use a television to use it. But that sadly wasn't the case. But now we have the switch.

PS4
>Bloodborne
>NiOh
>The Last Guardian
>Yakuza 0
>Uncharted 4
>Gravity Rush 2
>Horizon: Zero Dawn
>Ratchet & Clank
Switch
>1-2-Switch
>Bomberman R

wowwwww nintenwon
zelda isn't exclusive you stupid nigger

'hand-held console' is an oxymoron. Every portable console is a handheld by definition.

The Switch runs handheld games that can output to a TV. The reason why it can run Wii U ports like Zelda and MK8 is because the Wii U is a piece of shit hardware wise.

MODS

>I've been waiting for a hand-held console since the ps2
Have you heard of this nifty thing called the "Gameboy" that was released in the fucking 80s?

If those PS4 games are so good, how come PS4 owners don't buy them and instead only get FIFA, COD, Uncharted, GTA and then use it as a netflix machine?

The PS4 sold like fucking pancakes though

Realistically speaking, a console could sell half of the PS4's units and still be considered a success.
