it honestly looks like shit to play user

it probably looks fun to play for 10 minutes but its only for mecha weebs

Well English asia release was confirmed awhile ago, dunno about western one but it is a possibility.
English Asia probably will be on same day with JP one.

But yeah, I played beta. Feels way faster than Full Boost for some reason. Legacy controllers are supported.
Zeta became way better tho more expensive.
>no Guncannon or Jesta at 1st phase
dang it.

Only bad thing about this game so far - is lack of G Gundam.
see pic related

>Legacy controllers are supported.
That's super nice to know. Bamco still hasn't said whether T7 is going to support legacy, and that's going to make or break my purchase for that game since they just announced there won't be crossplay, so it's nice to have confirmation for Gundam so early.

>game still reduced to "who can mash sidestep and melee the fastest"

Epic.

>I didn't play the beta and feel jelly
fix'd your post senpai

I can walk to an arcade right now and play maxi boost on, so no jealousy. Have just gotten bored with the formula I ugess.

I wish legacy controller support was mandatory for all fighting games.

dunno then, depends on playstyle.
I hardly focus on melee and dodges, preferring ranged engagement. Not that I'm good player, but I usually lost not to melee, but more to combination of ranged attacks and people working better in teams.

Isn't it mostly based off MBO with rearranged mechanics?

well how the heck I should know if I never played MBO cause it arcade only

One thing I noticed a lot in the videos is that projectiles are way easier to track visually. it's a lot more noticeable on rocket attacks, but over all it's definitely easy to see where shots come from.
A lot of characters have MBO stuff like Exia and Zeta.

No that looks like shit.

GvsZG was objectively the all time best third person Gundam fighting game in terms of gameplay. It's a shame they don't make them like that anymore. I'd kill for a remastered version or something. Online play would be wicked with that game.

>brother and I playing
>He always picks The Hyaku Shitty
>Used to destroy him with the fucking Gundam Mk II. with a goddamn bazooka for fucks sake
>He gets better
>Actually learns to dodge
>Swith to the beam rifle
>He can still dodge it
>Mfw he actually gets to where he's a match for me

i do miss the clunky and heavy feel of the old ones
i blame the seed games for making shit feel too fast and floaty

Gundam Breaker would objectively make the best Gundam PvP game. Something in line of Build Fighters with full customization. And it doesn't even have actual PvP.

I think with EX'VS's combat or something like it combined with Gundam Breaker's customization would be the perfect game.

Seed games were still slow and clunky.

It doesn't? What the hell.
Also, might as well ask it here; is the GOTY version of Breaker 3 confirmed for an English Asian release? The Vita version is too shit to pirate it so I might as well get the PS4 verison with all the DLC if it's in english.

Breaker customization + Gundam Battle Universe's gameplay would be dope. Or Battle Operations NEXT but with an actual budget and polish (and not F2P).

Gundam vs Gundam was when it went from action game to full on fighter.

What gundam series are worth watching?

>GvsZG was objectively the all time best third person Gundam fighting game in terms of gameplay
>nostalgiafagging this hard

UC and Wing

All of them except Seed and Age.
Seriously, you can't go wrong. Don't listen to the autismos that say otherwise.
Seed and Age are the only ones that deserve their hate because the former is like watching a Gundam fanfic by the Twilight author and the latter is basically Playskool Gundam.

UC trilogy + Char movie + Unicorn (plus the stand alones)
Seed (fuck that Destiny shit thogh)

>GvsZG was objectively the all time best third person Gundam fighting game in terms of gameplay. It's a shame they don't make them like that anymore. I'd kill for a remastered version or something. Online play would be wicked with that game.
oh please. only good thing about GvsZG was amount of suits and mobile armors to choose from, also recoloring
that's it.
Gameplay wise it was fun to play around but that's about it

There is no GOTY version of GB3. GB at best only have a pseudo PvP where you register your gunpla and other people can fight your gunpla, but controlled by AI.

Wing was fucking angsty 90's melodrama incarnate. The only reason to watch it is for the MS designs and animation.

Don't pretend G and X aren't better.

>A lot of characters have MBO stuff like Exia and Zeta.
so they actually made Zeta not shit in MBO, and all we get is zetazaku

What this guy said, though you can watch the original Seed, it's not bad just not great.
For all that is holy though, do not watch Destiny.
Also unless you want more BEAM SPAM after watching 00 dont watch the movie.

siliconera.com/2017/02/24/gundam-breaker-3-break-edition-dlcs-launches-japan-march-30-ps4ps-vita/

UC everything
other centuries are not needed

Breaker combat is trash.

well gee, I'll be quite a bit salty if Eng Asia will get it too
after all that season pass overpaying vie prepaid cards
worth it tho

Breaker combat is great, it just doesn't get a chance to shine because damage sponge enemies make everything tedious and there's no PVP forcing people to learn and adapt to actual techniques and combos.

Anyone else having a jolly ol' time with SRWV?

>More english asia releases with no western releases

They gotta stop fucking doing this shit and sort out that copyright shit in the west and everywhere else. i'm tired of importing and waiting for play asia to inevitably fuck my order up as usual to get my mecha fix.

If you don't want to give it a physical release here then fucking fine but at least do it on the PSN store for fucks sake.

it's essentially a brawler. People who want PvP in it have no clue how it'll work

I'll take angsty melodrama and politics over the most shallow shonenshit imaginable.

>sort out that copyright shit in the west and everywhere else.

Has nothing to do with that.

Only good part for me so far was beating the shit out of Eva and Shinji.

Be thankful that there are some kind of English releases at all, you Gundam weaboo
No one cares about Gundam and mecha in west.

I reached my country's customs few days back
yaaaay ;_;

turn a is LITERALLY the goat
but it only really works after watching previous shows

We got Extreme Force so this game should be fine.
Though why Force and not the Breaker games I'll never understand.

>2017
>still can't break away from being melee combo'd
Shitty mechanic desu

Same thing with dragon quest
They'll port some (DQ Musou) but not others(DQM, Slime Tank, etc)

Monsters kinda makes sense, but Slime was successful and a critical hit in the west.

Fuck this game looks cool.

a lot of gundam shows are popping up on streaming services, plus BD releases are coming over. i'd say it's pretty popular and people do care about it over here

As far as I'm aware all the monster games they brought over did well.
Sure not pokemon well, but nothing really can pull that off without a huge ad campaign.
Really do wish they bring shit over, fucking squeenix and bamco

So what's the full roster gonna be? Can't find it on the site.

full roster isn't announced yet
here is what will be in beta phases

UC (original, Zeta, ZZ, Char's Counterattac, F91, Victory)
The 0080 OVA is great.
0083 is not as great but has more action.
08th MS Team isn't as good as the other two but still ok. Both it and 0083 share the problem of shitty romance subplots.
G is great.
Turn A is great.
Nothing after Turn A is worth watching except Unicorn, Thunderbolt, and Build Fighters.

i know it's beta, but surprised there's Queb or UC side story suits, like the GP units or Alex.

there's no*
fuck i cant type

gonna shit on nerds with my man heavyarms

If you ignore Quatra's pre-dead dad saga and Lady Un's story post trauma, the story is actually pretty decently written, all be it hammy

>No Nataku/Shenlong Gundam
I would have rather Sandrock be omitted

08th ms team sucks

>2 versions of the Tallgeese
>EW Best version left out
Daquin Barton, surrender and disarm yourselves at once

hey buddy

YOU SUCK

>What gundam series are worth watching?
Original Mobile Suit Gundam (movie trilogy version is superior)
Char's Counterattack
0080: War In The Pocket OVA
Turn A
Unicorn
Gundam 00

That's the stuff I enjoyed the most. If you want to get into the series I would recommend watching in the following order: MSG movie trilogy > 0080 > Char's Counterattack > Unicorn

>Going right from MSG to CCA

wow you're retarded

I find that Char and Amuro's character arcs make much more sense if you skip Zeta completely. On top of that, Zeta is just a total mess and not very enjoyable to watch on its own merits, so skipping it is a good idea.

>I find that Char and Amuro's character arcs make much more sense if you skip Zeta completely.

wow you're retarded

Do we have a list of mechs yet? I need muh 00 fanservice.

So how do I go about watching the series?

I'll give it a chance and continue if it's good, what's the best mechshit to watch where it doesn't take 50+ episodes?

>sort out that copyright shit
They don't do it because the number of customers doesn't justify the costs of getting a publisher in the west.

But if you skip Zeta you go to ZZ, and if you're not a fag that will probably put you off Gundam entirely.

Nu Gundam mustard race

Unicorn is Patrician
08th MS Team is good
Iron Blooded Orphans isn't too bad
SEED is dogshit and should be avoided at all costs

You skip ZZ too, that should go without saying.

>Likes Turn A, Unicorn and 00
>Thinks the movies are better than the series
>Doesn't understand Char's character arc

...

00
Gundam Build Fighters

It honestly kills me that Build Strike is such a gorgeous design and will never be seen again.

Nigga what?

Ignore anything that man says, hes clearly an idiot. You skip Zeta and you lose a lot of the character and world building fun that Double Zeta closes out.
Zeta is essentially the same tragedy of Char/Amuros original fighting in the first war, played out again with the same tragic results on a younger generation.

Is the cancer of the dustloop fanbase going to revive because of this

War in the Pocket is the best series out of all of them and if you agree you're fucking gay.

>snore in the pocket
>good

if you want Gundam, the original show was made into three compilation movies.

wat

You're probably one of those fags who only watches the series where the 50 Gundams in it all have LED's and shit all over them

All of them.

I'd only recommend skipping sequel series like Seed Destiny and Gundam Build Fighter Try.

The rest is all watchable and varying levels of good.

Turn A is my favorite.

Andrew WK is a big Gundam fan and he made a whole cover album of 0079 songs.

youtube.com/watch?v=zILVdHewOZ8

They should make subsystem damage universal so you get more mobile suit limbs littering the battlefield.

>disliking Turn A
Well your post is invalid, but as for Char's character arc, suddenly coming out with the "people's souls are weight down by Earth's gravity!" shit out of nowhere in the middle of Zeta is not character development, it's just nonsense.

Easily one of the few Gundam series with competent writing (still a few dumb moments here and there) and pretty unique too.

Oh so he's the singer in that cover

i actually liked it

Be wary of 08th MS Team. People say its great because "muh Gundams in 'Nam" but forget that the 2nd half of the series is complete garbage Romeo and Juliet dogshit with one good fight scene (an amazing fight scene but just youtube it)

>suddenly

I'm pretty sure even the movie series didn't leave that shit out. It has something to do with that word "newtype" that he says every time he shows up.

I'm a total noob this is how I watched the series. Please tell me I'm not retarded

Gundam Movie Triolgy>War in the Pocket> Stardust Memory > Gundam Unicorn > 08th MS team > Gundam: The origin

Aw Yeah, eat shit Wufei!

My nigga, hamburger was a real human bean.

These aren't war machines, these are guys in suits with jetpacks: none of their blows feel like they have any weight behind them. Where's the grinding, the scraping, the dust, and the sounds of rounds ricocheting off armor? It's too clean!

>Watch it for the first time
>Ending totally fucked me up
>Show it to a friend
>Just sits there in silence for 10 minutes after the last fight

It has good fights and animation but holly fuck if the writing didn't turned into shit as it progressed.

>The rest is all watchable and varying levels of good.
>AGE

Not him, but if thats all you took from Zeta you should watch it again. Let alone trying to take his statement so damn literally.
Char just watched Earth win the last war, then fuck all the people in space, and use Newtypes like fucking tools. He wasnt on about any newage shit. He was saying Earth was fucking bad. The whole series of Zeta is about a fucking anti-earth organization. How did you not get any of this and instead construe "Char is making no sense?

You missed Zeta and ZZ but watched Unicorn? How does that happen?

The IBO gundams are quite low tech compared to the other series gundams aren't they?
