>make physical only dlc
>if you want it too bad because its sold out everywhere
>restocks are sold out within an hour
Make physical only dlc
>Nintendo hates its customers
What's new?
The Guardian Amiibo is fucking great. It's got adjustable legs so you can pose it. they're even strong enough to support in a standing pose.
cool picture dude
must be from AU
What amiibo do I have to buy to play through the game as Zelda?
If it's physical then it isn't DLC.
>He doesn't live on the ceiling.
LaughingWenches.png
It's a feature! Now give us more 10/10s for our obvious "perfect" product!
The only fuck up they've had is not making shit available digitally, as far as I'm aware. Getting a figure and then extra digital goods is great in concept.
>want the Rosalina amiibos
>they sell out everywhere
>even restocks sell out
>wait patiently and never give in to scalpers
>eventually find both Rosalinas on the shelf stock at a local Target
If only other people wouldn't give in to scalpers out of desperation...can't expect too much from petty humans, though.
Is there a list of what every amiibo unlocks?
do any of these even add anything good
You only found the Rosalina because it was put into heavier production due its popularity, same reason Little Mac is so easy to find now.
Armors and weapons that are not obtainable by other means. Also Epona and TP Wolf Link pet.
i thought this scalping amiibo bullshit was a thing of the past, but thanks to BotW we're back to square one
>physical download
Do the BotW amiibo even give you anything exclusive?
Yeah, but the point is, I waited rather than gave in to scalpers. If another amiibo becomes that popular somehow, just wait. Or even just wait for scalpers themselves to give in and lower their prices. But wait, and have some patience. If you're an idiot who pays around 50 dollars just because you're desperate, then you deserve no sympy.
No. They're just useful because free items.
I'm hoping with the DLC that new exclusive things will unlock with these bad boys. I just find it so odd that the new ones give nothing exclusive but the older ones do.
Goddamned incredibly specific epona unlock, that's like the one link I didn't get because of the piss stream
They probably misunderstood how people feel about exclusive shit.
They assumed we didn't want to have to pay for these things on day 1 to get a full experience. That's true. But really, we don't like any sort of exclusive content.
Which is why amiibo is a cancerbag idea no matter what. At best, it's useless and at worst it's limited edition DLC.
They add shit that autists cannot live without.
i managed to get Epona because I had one of the SSB Link. That's the only Zelda related Amiibo i have, the rest of them just gave me meat and apples
When I was younger I used to be into collectible Marvel comics figures. People scalp those things like crazy, finding any of the remotely popular characters in store was impossible. My local comic book store even started selling them at scalper prices just to avoid getting scalped from.
Scalpers are literally the worst kinds of people
Fuck, I need to get me one of those.
There is only one man capable of stopping them.
We have to bring him back.
You have a really nice brain problem going there, user.
Seems like if you want to collect the Fire Emblem or Zelda amiibo's Nintendo's opinion is fuck you.
Am I the only one that sees the guardian as sitting down with its arms and legs out and its dick in the air?
>Being such a fag you see nothing but dicks
Wolf Link obviously summons Wolf Link.
Is there a limit to how many times you can use amiibo?
Which is why I spent very little money to make my own amiibo cards.
Yes, it downloads data from the amiibo that activates on disc DLC.
>just got a switch
>my first Nintendo console since the GC
>read about amiibo unlocks
>think it's a pretty cool idea
>go to buy an amiibo
>$25
You can scan every single amiibo and Animal Crossing card once a day. Once midnight hits, you can do it all all over again.
>25 dollars
What. They were 15 at most at bestbuy.
I can confirm that all of these are in fact legit. I have em all.
they're 25 dollars in canuckland
Is there not like a amiibo flashcart or whatever to just load amiboo data on to that you can use?
>Grab NFC stickers/cards
>Grab device to write Amiibo data to the NFC stickers
>Do whatever you want with that
I'm sorry that you got fucked by your shitty government. Some of you leafs are okay.
Yup, did this. Was about 20 bucks. Very little compared to the 250+ it would have been to buy every zelda amiibo
Just get a n2elite and emulate amiibo
I want a Guardian figurine with an animated eyeball, the way it looks ingame. I would pay a lot of money for that.
I'm about to do that, just waiting for the stickers to come in.
Honestly they might arrive too late, as my interest in some games might wane by then.
Oh well.
People are reselling them for like $60 too. Which is probably not what you guys are talking about, but think about that shit for a second.
I still need to get me a Rosie, since she's my favorite Mario girl and all.
Can't decide on which one that I want. Honestly, neither really do it for me.
>but think about that shit for a second
What am I thinking about? People do this shit constantly for every facet of life possible.
It works like a charm, but I'll warn you now man, famring all the exclusive items took a decent amount of time. Like.. 5 hours total for me. Lots of save scumming and messing with my Wii U internal clock. I recommend watching some thing while farming.
>Wolf Link obviously summons Wolf Link.
Wolf Link is the only one I have, and it isn't on there.
Why do you hate me?
Is the equipment cosmetic or do they have unique properties?
Posted in the other thread, but someone is actually doing this very same thing, except making them look like the animal crossing amiibo cards.
Love me some 'miibo. Fucking The bokoblin and guardian are sold out everywhere, and wolf link is being hoarded like jew gold by scalpers
The gear can be upgraded. I don't know if it has a set bonus as I haven't upgraded each part twice yet.
>Tfw accidentily killed Epona before I registered him
Oh well. I don't do much horse riding anyways and I have Zelda's horse.
I think I'll just go the non savescum route for that. Thank you for the heads up however.
Wolf Link is invaluable.
In-game he can help you track down Shiekah Sensor targets. Crazy useful.
What does the Heinz Amiibo get you?
So how do the weapons work? Do they have durability? Can I reuse an amiibo once a weapon breaks?
8-Bit Link's sword is a decent enough weapon. The attack up is probably just random chance and not a normal thing for the weapon.
>lol i wont buy any on launch day, the amiibo fad is already over
>WTF IS THIS GARBAGE ARTIFICIAL SCARCITY NINTENDO I CANT FIND ANY
These are once daily supply drop type things.
I just realized that I didn't have any Zelda-related amiibo, which I need to fix soon. But I'm also a poorfag, so eh.
Really want the Guardian, the Archer, 30th anniversary, and Ganondorf. Sorta want Toon Link too.
I have never bought an Amiibo but I really want that Guardian Amiibo.
they became my favorite Zelda enemies.
Every item needs to have stats, all the clothing are just as good as the Hylian Tunic in game.
Epona is the best horse in game.
Twilight Bow makes every arrow a light arrow, which are unobtainable otherwise. Ancient arrows are still stronger, and are obtainable normally. (But rarely)
Sheik Mask is cosmetic swap of the Sheikah Stealth Hat.
Sword of the SS is unobtainable, and is a legitimate good broadsword. Like an extra Master Sword.
Everything else literally doesn't matter much.
Saddle and Bridle are cosmetic.
Hero's Shield is better than Knight's shield, but lesser than Hylian.
They work like any other weapon and they do have durability. You can only use each amiibo once a day. You get a single chest which has a chance to contain those exclusive weapons. You can save scum the amiibo drops though.
Creamy garlic sauce to use in cooking
I've upgraded all of the Twilight stuff twice, there's no Set Bonus.
Do the BotW Amiibos just give you random stuff in those categories? Because it'd be strange if the ones related to the game were just loot boxes while the others actually gave you unique items.
How did everyone miss this?
That's exactly what the situation is.
But the random items are pretty strong. I'll admit that right away.
You can get Guardian Axe ++ from the Guardian Amiibo or a Falcon Bow from Archer Link.
To be honest, I didn't actually realize the amiibo did anything until someone made a thread bitching about them.
I just happened to have a couple.
You can set the date on your WiiU up a day and reuse all your amiibo.
I have like 30 of the fucking things so its pretty useful for stocking up.
That's pretty fucking neat
How does he do that?
Forgot pic.
>Epona is the best horse in game.
No it isn't. Epona in 4/4 but you can find a 5/5 hore if you're lucky
>Seeing Farosh arise from the lake for the first time
WHAT THE FUCK
People have been disassembling and looking into amiibo codes for awhile now.
I'm sure a google search can find a database or reddit thread about the entire process and a whole list of the entire code collection.
They've dumped all the ones ever released, and found some that have yet to see a release.
NFC tags are like 80 cents a pop. So when you configure and write the same code or whatever to the NFC tag, it'll work as an amiibo.
Guy just makes cheap little trading cards in the style of the Animal Crossing ones in Photoshop or something, and prints them, pastes the NFC tag in it, laminates, and sells them off I'm assuming.
you know that this guy who posts under the name "Anonymous" isn't one person right?
Hahah yeah mine are yhe nfc tags on plastic cards that say "oot link" and "toon zelda" in sticky notes..
its like im looking at the smash brothers trophy table
Nice collection. I'm still working on mine. Really want a few more of the Smash ones. I still need ZSS, Ryu, Mega Man, and maybe Pac-Man.
I'm pretty jelly, not gonna lie.
You mean Zelda's White Horse that has a random/Wild temperament and its only stat better than Epona's is its stamina.
Epona is still better with starting bond, temperament, skill, and speed.
>SB Link is the best Amiibo to have
Of course he is, and he's so available right now too.
I actually need a bigger shelf (clearly)
I have all the sm4sh ones, most of the animal crossing ones (restock isabelle already fuck) and most of the BOTW ones
I don't really want the Kirby / Mario ones, but I would fucking kill for a full starfox / xenoblade cast set. It's a pipe dream though, since the new Fire Emblem games are gonna get a ton, and I haven't been a fan of those since the GBA days.
Literally went to best buy today and saw pit, zero suit samus, TPP zelda, samus, lucina, fox, sonic, wolf link, and thats all that I can remember. THey aint rare.
I only grabbed Nier:^)
>TP zelda
Irrelevant. It's BotW Zelda who's rare.
I don't really want any full sets, but what I do want would be enough for a modest-sized collection.
Too bad I'm a poorfag.
skill isnt even a horse stat faglord
>Everything else literally doesn't matter much.
Word? I thought Wolf Link was supposed to be broken or some shit?
How do you do this?
>reskins and easy access to overpowered gear that ruins the game
i think i'll be ok without them
For me, it started with buying Lucas by accident the day he came out, and then trying to find Ness. After that, I wanted my Sm4sh mains, then wanted the ones from their collective series, then said fuck it and got the whole smash set, just because.
It's an expensive hobby, I actually started working a second job for a few weeks during the summer to grab some extra dosh
>>make physical only dlc
They're more like collectible figures that just happen to interact with your favorite video games.
>still selling amiibos
It's like Nintendo doesn't want my money.
>tfw have to cut back on the amiibo spending now that I'm out of a job
Desperately trying to gain employment again. It's not easy.
I also started picking up World of Nintendo figures, the cheap 2.5 inch ones.
Oh, well yeah. Forgot Wolf Link since hes not in the list.
Wolf Link adds him as a companion and attacks any enemy or mob in eye view sight, or scout out anything in the area for mushrooms or plants and stuff and alert you that they're nearby by walking over to it.
He's decently strong too in combat.
Depending on if its a fresh amiibo with only 3 hearts, or a max grinded amiibo with 20, he can be OP or just ok.
