Zelda: Breath of the Wild Cemu megathread

>Status: VERY CLOSE to playable (15 fps @ 3.8 ghz 3core+ and some broken physics/collision detection). That can change overnight to 30 fps, a reminder that the same thing happened to Windwaker HD emulation.

>1.7.3d (latest) emulator download mega.nz/#!0dUm0IrK!QAXmMrQnpyE-S1T0lWlhO1vNNRWdpL02-DmfHic1V9g

>turbomo.de/resources/the-legend-of-zelda-breath-of-the-wild-update-v16.367/ - the game. Very important that you use this version and not the one downloaded from wiiuiso or torrent sites. This is 1.0, those are 0.90 or 1.10.

>You need CDecrypt to decrypt it. filetrip.net/dl?GRqLr9jHRT

but is the game still buggy as fuck in Cemu?

>VERY CLOSE to playable
>15fps

yes

>I don't know to read

yes, in 7 days after the game came out, also

>I don't know how to read

I'm getting screen tearing but I'm still happy, switch is out of stock near me and idk, I don't really wanna ship from britbong land.

You guys think a gtx 780 could play it, when it's pretty stable at least?

it's 4AM i dont have time to read.

No

Any videocard with 2 GB VRAM can play any Cemu game at 4k as long as the CPU is good.

Cemu uses 3 cores, the higher each core is, the better fps. Videocard does almost nothing.

>mfw my 1060 arrives tomorrow

FINALLY UPGRADING BOYS

Fucking WIN

Still a lot of bugs with the game beyond framerate, softlocks A LOT, Link can barely swim, if at all and manget ability doesn't work so can't get past first dungeon

Remember to report
ap.nintendo.com/report/

Everyone says emulation isn't illegal, but I disagree given how thanks to it people are able to play pirated Nintendo products.

>Cemu uses 3 cores

I knew i7 were meme processors.

Impossible, it's either Saturday or sunday. Quit lying faggot.

jesus christ these cemu updates are coming out multiple times a day i think this will be 100% within a week at most

DLC work?
How is sound?

Thanks for alpha testing switchfags :3

Over 90% of people with cars use the car to break laws. Should cars be illegal too?

Remember to report blatant shitposters for derailing the thread for breaking Global rules.

Why aren't you playing your Switch user?
Why aren't you enjoying Zelda on your Switch?
Does the buyer's remorse finally kicking in?

It's actually happening. The mad men are doing it. Some said it would take months to even get it running.

>PC gets the superior version of BotW

Holy shit.

>1.7.3d
You might want to check that.

too bad literally every game on that list aside from possibly botw are fucking awful

I'm a little surprised. I had set my expectations to it being playable around when the second DLC pack comes out in 9 months, but it seems it'll beat that.

Is there a torrent up of this version of the game?

That's not what toddlers were saying before when emulation was off the table.

Call me when they reach stable 60

"playable"

I'll only bother to emulate when I can play 1080p at at least 30fps with no drops anywhere, and no game breaking glitches.

You can use version 1.10, dude, stop spreading misinformation.

Sound is one of the few things that works well.

I'm glad you pc bro's have some actually good games to play now

You can dress link in women's harem clothing?

thats because theyre retards. wii u has possibly the worst library of the last 20 years aside from the wii. it sucks that all these resources have to go into emulating a single game when it couldve just been multiplat

I beat both SM3DW and Captain Toad just fine with shaders pre-installed and no stuttering with perfect sound.

Realy. I'm surprised it's usually the opposite where everything except sound works great for other cemu games.

These lettered ones are just quick fixes.
It's usually 1-2 months between versions with substantial progress.

You must to get into Gerudo Town.

Don't know how stuff works with emulators but I bought me some parts for a new PC recently. Would playing games with cemu work with an i5 7500 and rx 480 4gb?

objectively wrong

I don't own a switch nor have any intention to but surely emulating switch games on a PC completely defies the point of what the switch is and would be a far cry from the actual experience?

You're gonna have to play the game on a keyboard and mouse, sat at a computer monitor and desk - it's just not the same experience.

In the same way emulating N64 games was so clunky and cumbersome because it's hard to replicate the very unusual style of the pad.

Emulating the game and playing it on a PC can't be much more of a step up from just simply watching a lets play YouTube video.

Stop being so cheap and just buy the platform and the game if you wanna play it.

It's reasons like this why PC doesn't get any games anymore...

>you must use this specific iso and this special exe to play the game
Yeah nah.

>tfw playing with a ps3 controller
The way it was meant to be played.

Let's see how the grass looks?
Got any pictures of grass?

Kek

Now with this, CSGO, LoL and Dota they'll be spoiled for choice of what to play!

Or I can connect my computer to my mounted tv, plug in my controller and sit back on my bed and play. Pretty comfy, desu.

What control setup is everyone using? Any chance it's playable with a DS4?

I just want nice upscaled BotW screenshots.

You are incredibly ignorant. No wonder from someone who buys Nintendo hardware in 2017.

You can plug in a controller, pull an HDMI to the TV and have it be exactly like consoles with a controller of your choice and improved native resolution.

Does 3D world need the TV? Planning to try that out next.

>Everyone says emulation isn't illegal, but I disagree

Well I guess that settles it then. Now we just need somebody to let the courts know what you've decided.

>you can't use controllers on a PC
>you can't connect a PC to a television

You can literally buy a switch controller, connect it to your PC over bluetooth, and play BotW in 4k from your couch.

Sound works but some audio sounds really low quality and sometimes others are more lower volume compared to how it plays on actual hardware.

>pc doesn't get games anymore
But it does get BotW for free.

Impressive to get the sloppy seconds from a Nintendo console

>for free
I paid $5.

>Any chance it's playable with a DS4?
Yes. Get DS4Windows. DS4 is great with PC since the touch pad acts like a mouse aswell.

You can get an unstable 30fps right now if you just buy a Switch.

>physics doesn't work
>no water or grass
>playable

Enjoy jogging around in 15 fps for the next months or years

You need to click on the screen/blow into a microphone to complete some bonus/Captain Toad levels. 95% of the game can be finished with only a controller.

just like on the switch

At least it looks clearer with the reshade at 4K. Is there any way the gameplay itself can be modded so it's not so fucking boring? I've been keeping my eye on how Cemu is progressing but none of the games make me want to test it out.

You can play pirated Nintendo products on the wiiu itself, ya ding dong

Because you couldn't wait a week/wanted to support CEMU developers.
Water works, grass doesn't effect gameplay. Physics do need to be fixed, however.

Shit, once the game is fully playable, I'm geniunely thinking of getting a new GPU just so I can power through the game in 4K with reshades.

What controller? A third party controller that wasn't designed for the game.

Isn't a switch primarily meant to be a handheld anyway? It seems odd playing a handheld device on a PC.

I know you CAN and COULD connect to your TV but let's be honest with each other, 99% of PC gamers just play on a computer monitor and at a computer desk.

best timeline

>grass doesn't effect gameplay
Doesn't cutting grass give you ruppees like every other Zelda game I have ever played?

The game isn't even playable. And you're playing a handheld game on a PC.

Go on and be a full cuck by buying a Switch pro controller to play it with.

>A third party controller that wasn't designed for the game.
Inputs are inputs you fucking drone.

I really love how the grass moves in the wind and how the light reflects off of it.

It wouldn't disrupt gameplay but it takes away a bit of the experience imo. I would only ever emulate if its 100% like the original, except for maybe resolution.

See bottom paragraph

>but I disagree

You're not a judge. You're not allowed to dictate what the law says. Judges have already confirmed that emulation is completely legal.

You can use a switch pro controller. Joycons work on PC too dude.

The game was made for Wii U also, so the portable argument doesn't seem fully fleshed out.

The Wii U Pro controller, the Switch Pro controller, and the Switch Joycons can all connect to a bluetooth adapter, and are designed to play Breath of the Wild. If you're really into having an "authentic experience", and want to have a Nintendo-branded Xbox 360 controller to play BotW with, you can do that on PC.

BoTW is primarily a Wii U game. All those people playing it on Switch are no better than the people emulating it. The definitive experience as intended by Nintendo is on Wii U.

And I'll be using the Wii U version to boost the resolution to 4K like that.

There's so much stuff concerning physics it's gonna be fucked

>Isn't a switch primarily meant to be a handheld anyway?

Depends on what charges fanboys are defending it from.

>cemu gets $3000 overnight
Holy fucking shit

Pro controller works on pc natively so that would be pretty close for Zelda

>implying i'm not playing Dolphin and Wii games with a Gamecube controller via USB
>implying i'm not playing NES and SNES games via emulators with a SNES controller

Fuck. That's more money than Switch made at launch night.

I haven't owned a Nintendo product since the NES.

If you're too cheap and happy to settle for second best, so be it.

And yet people making SFM porn are making ten times as much.

The Switch sold at least 500k at launch so no.

I should learn how to use SFM.

wow ur smarter than him

>cant handle grass
Masterrace amrite?

Don't reply to me ever again.

1.1.0 works fine though

also why didn't you post a lodiine ready link?

I didn't realise realise it was made for the wiiu.

In fairness Nintendo only have themselves to blame then. WiiU emulators were already in existence and then their major exclusive title that was launching their new console, they made available on a n older console that already had emulators working for it. How stupid could they be?

Consoles are always sold at a loss and companys make money via games. So technically Cemu made several hundred thousand dollars more.

It "freezes" every once in a while when it wants to load something. It gets stuck in a perpetual load cycle or something.

>
You're gonna have to play the game on a keyboard and mouse, sat at a computer monitor and desk - it's just not the same experience.

How fucking retarded are you?
They make USB based controllers for any emulation as well you could use modern controllers as a solve all to different controllers.
You must not know that large monitors exist, long cables exist, being able to play from your couch or do anything with your pc doesn't require a desk and an office chair. Jesus christ how dense.

Don't be fucking ridiculous.

The only console Nintendo sold at a loss by launch was the Wii U. I highly doubt the Switch cost them much.
