If it's a game where you have to do quick, precise inputs and are at risk of fucking them up from being too twitchy or just overreacting (Counter-Strike, for example), I've found that being a bit drunk helps me out a lot. Of course just a couple more drinks after that you're back to being shitty, just for a different reason.
