There are. You sell a lot of consoles at launch. When you push a few hundred thousand units out in a day , with maybe a 2% failure rate (reasonable in most industries), you're looking at a few thousand fucked up units hitting the market all at once, and they all get reported on social media nowadays.

Reminder that the Xbox 360 launched with a 54% failure rate and somehow it didn't seem to affect its long term success. Carry on though.

Don't be a retard and force it in at an angle? The vast majority of complaints about the Switch online are from people people who mistreated and broke their hardware, and then complained that it wasn't built with safety features to stop them from doing so

It's really hard to make the screen scratch by docking. Though the fact that you can scratch it at all like that is a sign of poor design.

And the 360 will always be a bigger success than the switch.

I wish Nintendo fans could see the writing on the wall. I remember being a big Sega fan and in total denial when the Dreamcast started failing.

I was at the launch, buying a wiiu version of zelda. There was this guy. Maybe 40 something. He was wearing a megaman helmet. He was really hyped. No one else was. He stood out as a weirdo, a crazy person. I wonder what he had, or what I didn't. Was he just dumb and weird enough to not understand that he was what he was, or did he just hide it under a smile? Was he that much better at just grinning and bearing it? I sort of wished I could do that; just be an absolute fuckhead and not hate myself for it.
