part 3/5/6 all sort of fit into that same mould too but in those the characters actually have some sort of goal the random assholes are getting in the way of. in part 4 the closest thing to a goal any character has outside of finding kira is josuke wanting to make money

it also doesn't help that the part is fucking watered down weak bulshit. the only good guys that die are ones that just get introduced right before it happens like shigechi or the salon lady

Read Part 3 because it got the worst anime adaptation. You can read the whole thing in one sitting, but the anime is 48 goddamn episodes and they mismanaged the fuck out of their budget. You can go back to the anime for Part 4 or keep reading, it's good either way.

Why is the anime bad?

Part 5 had some of the best fights but it also has the worst JoJo and remind me how the whole Mafia shtick had any impact on the story at all.

This, Part 4 is by far the worst but still entertaining. People really tend to forget how fucking dull everything not including Kira actually is and how the entire cast is devoid of any personality or interesting background.

Josuke is the blandest motherfucker in the entire franchise, I have no idea why people like him so much. Even his "catch phrase" about his hair only comes up like 3 times in the entire fucking manga.

Like I said, it's 48 20-minute episodes. Shit drags out way too fucking long, the manga is much more concise. And with the budget, they dumped a ton of money into arcs nobody cares about and fucked up hard on the final battle. QUALITY everywhere. It's also not the best part in general, since Stands were pretty basic and lame when they were first introduced and didn't get good until Part 4.
