say hello to the best controller ever made
Say hello to the best controller ever made
hello
hello
Hello
>"You youngsters, covering yourself in all that extra bling and not realizing it makes you look retarded. Less is more, sonny".
>100 dollars for a controller
yeah no
$70
No analog triggers
Shitty D-pad
No.
It is honestly really comfortable. Though its unforgivable its not even included with the console.
>$70
no
>No analog triggers
hahahaha
>Shitty D-pad
the best
>Shitty D-pad
>X from Nintendo is the best ever
>repeat again and again and again
Fucking obnoxious nintendo kids.
with that much fuckin money you could buy a decent mechanical keyboard
you guys are happy you are overpaying for gimmicks
>mechanical keyboard meme
>>mechanical keyboard meme meme
>say hello
I wish I could. Can't find one for less than $200% retail.
>$70
who cares?
>No analog triggers
thats a plus. the shorter way of travel let you react much faster. The analog triggers are good for racing games, but bad for everything else.
>Shitty D-pad
you kidding? Why do you think the xbox one controller has the same design?
you what
the dpad is fucking great
>digital triggers
>good
>excusable on a controller that nearly costs a 1/3rd of the fucking console's price
Shut the fuck up.
Analog triggers provide greater controller and granular input. Digital triggers do not. It might as well be a fucking button at that point.
>No analog triggers
This is a good thing and I'll never understand why people like them. They're not used in 95% of games, and the extra travel time does nothing but hamper what is just a simple on/off toggle
Those are the best so far.
>mechanical keyboard is not a meme meme
my rubberdome is 8 years old, the caps are like new and its just works.
$50
I tried various mechanical keyboards, never was satisified and sent them all back, why do I need a mecha again? Oh yes, because its a meme
>$70
hi
>Digital triggers do not. It might as well be a fucking button at that point.
But that's exactly how the vast majority of games use them, making the analog functionality not just pointless, but inferior to having something that doesn't come with unnecessary travel time
>digital input
>DS4
lolno.
even the Wii U Pro controller is better.
The Xbone controller is literally the best controller ever designed and produced.
>Nintendo fags will insist gyros and infrared are necessary but analog triggers aren't
Why don't consoles just allow you to set your settings like PC, that way you can have actual triggers and if you're so autismal that you need them to be fully activated instantly you can just modify the response curve so it goes to fully active as soon as it reaches 1% travel
>granular input
Where do you need this besides racing games? right, you dont.
> It might as well be a fucking button at that point.
it actually IS a fucking button. A faster one.
And now you shut the fuck up
you are an idiot
But that's exactly what this does
Which one is the best? Got myself the 360 one, it's pretty good and I enjoy it a lot, the problem is that the bumpers are fucked now. Now I'm waiting arriving the XBONE.
no headphone jack
>he tried some brown switch gaming keyboard
maybe do your research first
>gyroscope
Where do you need this besides splatoon if it still uses it? Right, you don't.
>HD rumble
Where do you need this besides literally no games because the only game that uses it only supports joycons? Right, you don't.
>strawmaning this hard
wew lad
no one said gyros and infrared are good.
We just say analogs shoulder buttons are shit.
I don't give a flying fuck about the "vast majority of games".
Analog triggers provide more control opportunity for the player and have been standard for years.
You cannot drop that and yet demand more for your controller than your competitors without looking like faggots.
Every fucking peripheral for the Switch is grossly overpriced.
>Pre-PS4 DualShock
Do you have little girl hands? Are you a little girl? Can I pat your head?
How much it costs?
???
No one said anything about those features, we're specifically talking about analog triggers
And unlike analog triggers, those features don't replace an otherwise standard button with something inherently inferior. They're just extras
>Where do you need this besides racing games?
Can you remind me what the next first party Switch game is, again
>150€
bahahaha thanks M$
>its only bad when nintendo does it
He never said anything about this, are you retarded?
Are you? Be honest please
Yes because you have Miyamoto's cock up your ass
hello
>I would rather have almost every game play worse just so a couple of nice cases will play slightly better
???
Especially when it comes to racing games, where you shouldn't even be using a controller at all. Get a proper wheel
I wouldn't call ICE CUBES :DDDD an extra if it causes the controller to cost $70, especially when 100% of games are only going to use it in the same way that rumble was used previous (literally making them something inferior for the same price)
Racing games have definitely been improved by using analog triggers. Having acceleration and breaking going back to 0% or 100% is going to feel like stepping back 20 years.
>Actually has some good fucking weight to it, but not so heavy it's uncomfortable to hold
>Nice big buttons all right next to each other
>Nice clicky triggers and shoulder buttons that work perfectly
>Dpad isn't a fucking mess
>Sticks are concave and just feel nice
I'm very pleased with this controller after getting fucked with three broken Wii U pro controllers in a row. Every single one of them had shitty dpads and shoulder buttons, so I'm happy Nintendo got it right this time.
>Where do you need this besides splatoon if it still uses it? Right, you don't.
holy fuck you are retarded
>Where do you need this besides literally no games because the only game that uses it only supports joycons? Right, you don't.
not YET. but it feels fucking amazing
>Help I getting defeated
No? Why would I? Whats your point?
>Analog triggers
Bye
>racing games
You really shouldn't be using a controller for these at all honestly, get a proper wheel
So the Switch is, at the very least, the worst fucking place to play racing games.
Thanks for letting us know before we give Nintendo $400.
Switch doesn't support wheels m8, and MK8 doesn't support analog triggers so even if it did have wheels you'd have to deal with your pedals being digital
It's an exclusive racing game
Its the only type of games which benefit from analog triggers. Every other genre does not. Thats why microshit is selling controllers with hairtriggers
HD rumble doesn't replace regular rumble
Analog triggers replace digital triggers
this is the issue, because analog triggers are awful
Why is it so fucking expensive
>have to pay an additional 70 dollars just to get a real controller
I like how the excuse for nintendo's hardware being underpowered is that it makes it cheaper, yet this is the same price as the other consoles which are more powerful and actually come with a packed-in controller.
Analog triggers haven't hurt other games on the other platforms. They've enabled clever new input tricks if the developers wants to implement them.
Racing games (and games with racing segments in them) have been improved by their standardization on controls.
This thing does not come with the fucking console.
It costs $70 fucking dollars.
It fails to meet industry standard features.
It's overpriced and yet underdelivers.
>The Switch doesn't come with a controller
Nice deflection, it still doesn't fix the lack of analog triggers on this thing.
keyword is real
does it work on windows 7?
>Analog triggers replace digital triggers
Are you complaining about travel because maybe that's more of a problem with your console's OS
>Analog triggers haven't hurt other games on the other platforms
Try using a xbone controller to emulate something like Mega Man where the dash button is set to the shoulder buttons
Analog triggers get old real fast, and it's hard to find decent modern controllers that don't have them. Which is why I like the pro controller having digital shoulder buttons
Doesn't even have a fucking d-pad. Not to mention the wireless tech they used is so chintzy that the joycons drop connections if you're more than a mere 10 feet away.
>It's an exclusive racing game
What are you talking about?
Who is talking about the switch?
This thread is about the best controller.
Are you retarded?
>Analog triggers haven't hurt other games on the other platforms.
No, they hurt every game on every platform by introducing travel time to certain actions
Left and right stick arent analog? Weew.
>Switch doesn't support wheels
You couldn't be more wrong.
Because everything Switch related is designed to ream you.
Joycons? $80 for hardware that we've had for decades in game controllers.
Pro Controller? $70 for a controller that doesn't meet the standards game enthusiasts have been using for at least 3 generations.
Dock? $90 for a 1 inch HDMI and USB C passthrough when similar products on Amazon are $30 tops
God I hate fanboys
This is the real ranking from someone who owns them all
XO:Elite>XO>DS4>360>Switch Pro>DS3>Absolute turd>>>Wii U Pro
The build quality feels cheap, the buttons are overly mushy, it lacks analogue triggers, it doesn't have a headphone jack and it's way too expensive
If I could sum it up in a few words it's: Feels like a 3rd party 360 controller
It's the best controller Nintendo have made, but that isn't saying much
DS4 is where it at bro
>No, they hurt every game on every platform by introducing travel time to certain actions
That sounds like a problem with your console's OS
>Wii U Pro controller
Feels cheap, digital triggers, looks like shit, piano black finish on something you touch.
6/10
Get the Xbone controller, DS4 is garbage.
I've never disliked a controller's face buttons more than this. They're mushy and gigantic to the point of being awkward.
Who the hell did they make this for? Usually you see big buttons on devices made for children or the eldery, but the color scheme matches that of products aimed at young adults.
>digital triggers
but that's a good thing
>God I hate fanboys
>XO:Elite>XO>DS4>360>Switch Pro>DS3>Absolute turd>>>Wii U Pro
aaaaaaaahahahahahahahahahahaha
hello
>tfw thxz allgamefans
>gigantic
I actually fucking love this, but I have giant hands. They feel more tactile to me than the joycons itty bitty buttons
I want one, I really wish they weren't so expensive over here.
And the DS4 manages to be worse.
Already had to replace the plastic triggers with metal ones from China and use the joytsick covers. Also, that annoying blue light and shitty battery life. I only own the one because of the PS4 needs it.
The pro controller at least has 80 hours of battery.
Xbox one is made better and is almost the exact same
Sometimes when I press left on the dpad the thing thinks I pressed up instead.
Anyone else get this?
Because they decided to cram it into a portable form factor, despite the fact that the vast majority of people will just be playing it at home anyway.
Because it's portable, you have to:
- pay for more expensive smaller hardware components
- pay for an included screen
- pay for the battery
Not to mention all the other ways they nickel-and-dime you, like needing an actual kickstand because the included one is shit, or a pro controller because the joycons are trash, or a case/protector because of the shoddy build quality and easily scratchable and unprotected screen, etc.
Why would I need to mod this shit if I can just get a Digital trigger?
The xbone bumpers suck just as bad. One of my bumpers stopped working so I got a new one and they don't click right. What a piece of shit.
analog triggers are always superior regardless of genre, the lack of them is my single strong negative against the Wii U (which i love) and the Switch (which i can't afford yet)
they're even useful in a fucking FPS if you try hard enough
>different trigger-pull depths per weapon as a marginal balance mechanic
>grenade toss/arc strength
>analog accel/braking in vehicles if they're in the game
I seriously don't get it. The original fat DS had the BEST face-buttons and d-pad of any nintendo console. They were all firm clicky microswitch goodness. And everything afterwards feels fucking mushy.
Because then you can actually play games that require digital triggers? If you didn't need to play games that require new controller features like analog sticks then nobody would buy anything except the iBuffalo
>FPS
>Controller
The problem with analog triggers is that any genre that would make okay use of them is better played with a different input method entirely
>digital triggers
Pointless even having triggers if they just function purely as buttons.
>that require digital triggers?
analog triggers
There's zero benefit except feedback, which is ass anyways because the trigger doesn't click.
It's mushy.
Can't speak for battery because I play with it plugged in most of the time.
And haven't had to switch anything out. M;ight be on your end.
Nice formatting, though. Writing a children's book?
razer raiju is amazing ds4 ok but sticks suck for FPS
If you have never held this controller then you wouldn't know, but it really is the possibly best controller ever made. Super comfy, good grip, great buttons, fantastic dpad, sticks good and grippy and in the right spots.
Oh and 40+ hours of battery
>Pointless even having triggers if they just function purely as buttons.
How is having two sets of shoulder buttons pointless
Is it really that good? I've always had the impression the ABXY buttons looked big and clumsy. Do they feel nice to press? I've always hated the feeling Wii U pro controller buttons had.
The fuck is analog triggers. I am in my late 50's for the record.
Best controller ever made
So why does the controller have a gyroscope when any genre which would use it would be better off just using the mouse instead?
>Can't speak for battery because I play with it plugged in most of the time.
>And haven't had to switch anything out. M;ight be on your end.
>Nice formatting, though. Writing a children's book?
Why do you sound so mad? It's honestly not a great controller. Besides, the Xbone controller is king, I'd use it for every console if I could.
