Mediocre game thread?

Mediocre game thread?
I don't feel like finishing it. I lost to the ice lady and it's a really easy boss, but I keep dying.
>what is, every single singleplayer game without a pvp component
fuck off pcbro
We have hourly threads about NV though
PvP is coming
and I can't wait for all the bitching about Sloth users
>tfw getting called bro
i love you too bro =)
A single player game has high replay value if the gameplay is good enough.
Nioh's lackluster "diablo style" loot system, long ass missions where you have to hunt for keys, unlock doors, solve puzzles, no enemy variety and piss easy difficultly resulted in it's failure.
Meme game with modding, and it's pretty blatant that every thread is made by the same person.
I can't wait for each fight to pretty much be
Parry, Final Blow, Death.
or
Gods of the Wind III into Sign of The Cross crumble -> Sign of the Cross -> Sign of the Cross -> Final Blow, Death
Or infinite stamina builds with 3p Genius Strategist 2p Takehasi and 1p Master Swordsman
>piss easy
Everybody keeps saying this, but I've been finding it quite challenging. What's the deal?
>what is Dragon's Dogma, who had a general that lasted 4 fucking years after release
the Nioh general on /vg/ is still among the most popular ones and there are always at least one thread up on Sup Forums,. I'm also pretty sure when the pvp patch hits Sup Forums will be constantly shitposted about balance. I would say it does pretty well.
It never actually lasted that long. It died off until someone kept remaking it, and got filled with life-support shit that fills other dead /vg/ generals, where people circlejerk on bullshit that is irrelevant, or tangentially relevant to the game.
Each weapon has an OP attack you can just spam and trivialize any and all encounters.
Dual Swords is spam Gods of the Wind III until you fatigue the enemy and then sign of the cross spam if its a humanoid, and if its a boss you water sword (high stance r1+triangle)
Katana is spam kick and then go to low stance and mash square when they're fatigued
All of spears attack are safe
kusarigama is like dual swords but not as strong, reaper decimates fools and kusarigama does a lot of ki damage, and it scales of dex which means it can also abuse ninjutsu shit like power pills
Axe is braindead easy if you have heavy armor and you can face tank shit, but if you play at a agility or less axe actually requires the most thought as you cant armor through anything and you have long recovery frames
And still people talk about it, just like anons have over 8000 Katawa Shoujo general threads... now i don't know if it's good after all
I'm gonna call bullshit. I was there until it died and although on life support at times, it was filled with actual discussion of the game every single thread.
it's a good game, but it has many flaws
also a bunch of other popular games came out in the last month
They had it at Target for their B2G1F sale but I grabbed HZD, DQ:B, and Yazuka 0 instead.
Oddly they didn't have Nier and the guy said they had to send all their copies back to corporate so they could be sold online... 2B is suffering.
Is the nioh general as shit as /bbg/ and /dsg/?
>/bbg/ isn't shit outside of /dsg/ influences like Lucifer though
Whatever I'm sure that's too meta to discuss
>/bbg/ isn't shit outside of /dsg/ influences like Lucifer though
What do you gain from lying?
People aready played it and finished it, maybe once the PvP patch and DLC comes out you'll see more threads about it
>the Nioh general on /vg/ is still among the most popular ones
The current thread has been up for 10 hours and has 166 posts.
all /vg/ generals are doomed to being shit because the same autists stay and post in every new thread
>5 enemies throughout the entire game
>linear levels
>pathetic side missions that take 5 minutes
>twilight missions are really just "lmao let's throw a bunch of enemies at them to make the game le difficult"
>oh look, an archer is on the roof again
>enemies are always set up in the same way. weak enemies, then a big demon enemy. rinse and repeat
>piss poor difficulty scaling that makes the game easy after a few hours of play
>no build diversity
>basically infinite stamina once you learn ki pulse timing
>attempts to add depth to combat, falls entirely flat because mid stance is more effective than high or low
>magic is an absolute overpowered shitfest
>2kat + buffs + debuffs turns all enemies into a cake walk
>last level is literally "let's throw a bunch of demons at them and overwhelm them lmao! then we will make them fight old bosses lmao!"
>no PvP
>if PvP is added it will become a race to drain stamina with sword pulse and then punish
>healing items galore
>no reason to play after NG
>40 hours long, unfortunately the game gets boring after 15 hours, and then unbearably boring after 24
>revenants are just a way to get higher level armor easily, just sword pulse and then punish
>all armor stats do not matter
>crafting armor and weapons is entirely useless because you pick up better items
>Diablo loot system gives you 99% trash, 1% good items. that 1% makes crafting useless
>spirit animal thing is just instant win button
shit game
>game so mediocre that it has no cancerous soulsfans to defend it
Are we finally seeing the souls genre die? Ha souls fatigue finally set in?
yes, it's not the same anymore.
they should have let it die after Dark Souls 1. Too many soulless (heh) clones have come out and they resulted in oversaturation of the genre.
No, people just find this game inferior to the souls games in every way except combat. And combat is hardly the main appeal of the souls games for a lot of people.
You don't know true suffering if you haven't been in /mgg/ after MGSV release. Watching the general slowly going to shit until there was no one left but a couple of literal faggots and the joostposting turbo autist was depressing.
Here on Sup Forums we have a board called the "Video Game Generals". I suggest you visit it sometime, newfag.
