While wondering wether or not I'll go see watch Kong tonight, I was thinking about Godzilla PS4, but then I watched the price for it on PSN and it's like 80$ like a brand new game? Why does it cost so much?

i bought it new for 59.99.
i regret it every time i look at my collection. not only does it fail to be a good godzilla game but as a game by its self is shit.
the controls are slow as shit. fights are terrible. you dont have a block. instead you have a parry...that the game does not tell you is tied to your roar. no matter what you are fighting it is bullshit. fighting mothra/battra caterpillar form as Godzilla? well you are fucked because most of your attacks go over their heads and they attack so fast that they knock you out of your attacks. fighting something larger than you and you are not playing a fast hitting character? well you are fucked because larger enemies tend to have lots of armor on their attacks so you can not make them flinch.

So when you think Godzilla what comes to your mind? fighting other Kaiju should be the main objective right? NOOOOPE! destroy the generator. you took the time to kill the kaiju that invades after you kill the first of 3+ generators? well good job you fucked up and time ran out. play the level again this time focus on the REAL threat. the generators.

I bought it for 5 on one of those flash sales and thats the right price for it?

So should I go watch Kong or not? Is it Kaijukino? Or is it the same as Godzilla 2014? Where Godzilla barely appeared at all in his movie?

You have to really love Godzillla to enjoy this game, have you seen every movie several times? Maybe you can enjoy it

Yeah I'm pretty pumped, I enjoyed it in the theater even if there was several retards in the audience.
Was kind of surprised how even though a ton of the movie was meetings and crisis reaction I never felt bored.

I can't wait for our future president.

It was on PS Plus for $15 only the other week. It probably won't go on sale again for a while. As for why it's so expensive normally, that's up to Bandai Namco.

Yeh, they did the right thing by making all the people talk be related to the plot, be it they discussing about Godzilla or the inefficiency of the government, my problem with most Godzilla movies is how the non-godzilla stuff just felt like padding

Go see it. Kong has plenty of screen time, fights alot and shows up early. Cool creatures on the island and surprisingly gory. Probably the best IMAX experience I've had.

the monster models and the way they looked and sounded moving around the city was amazing but the game itself is bad.

If they could take the gameplay of the older fighting zilla games with theses these visuals and a bigger budget it would be the goat kaiju game. but im a big godzilla faggot who slurps godzilla dick at any opportunity.

It's a good "godzilla sim", but if you are looking for something like the old pipeworks fighting games you will be dissapointed.

I fell asleep for about 10 minutes during it. I don't mind slow movies but some parts were unnecessary in this just felt like a poorly done meta commentary on Japan and not an actual good movie

For fuck's sake, I actually like the game, but its still not worth more than 15 or 20.

If you want a good Godzilla game try War of the Monsters or one of the Godzilla fighting games on the PS2
