Did you think, at least for a moment, that this game wasn't gonna live up to the hype?, Did you doubt Nintendo?. Be honest.
APOLOGIZE
Played it, got bored immediately, don't get the hype
it's pretty great
thats a pretty great pic OP
I had literally zero hype for Breath of the Wild because Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword were such pieces of shit, but I'm glad I was proven wrong. Best Zelda in 20 years, easily.
same. and I didn't even play it. that says a lot about it really.
...
Sonykeks on suicide watch hahabahahaa
consider us even for Bloodborne and FFXV. I'll be waiting for P5 reviews.
I expected it to be a good, but not amazing game that sacrifices a bit of the usual strengths of the series (good designed dungeons) for an open world approach. I also expected it to be massively overhyped by magazines.
I got exactly that.
sure you did
shut up you haven't even played it. BOTW proves you don't need dungeons for puzzles and good design. The shrines and the machines are better overall
>Played it, got bored immediately, don't get the hype
...
Chill dude, I put 50 hours into it and enjoyed it a lot. However, the shrines are too easy and the titans are a joke when you compare them to real dungeons. I could see them make a bit more difficult and better shrines in the next game. The concept of the shrines itself is pretty good and worth building upon.
I hate the shrine theme.
fuck that alien technology blue glowing glyphs floating black blocks garbage that's the final dungeon in every single jrpg ever.
post your face when Persona 5 gets a mid/high 90 score and Nintenkeks start claiming "B-B-B-BUT IT'S NOT EXCLUSIVE DELETE THIS" even though BotW is a Wii U game.
Persona 5 will be 1 point less than it should, and Nintendo fans will shit on a non-Nintendo game yet again. Nothing new.
I own a ps4 and a wii u, my roommate got the switch. I like zelda, i still picked it up.
The game DOES NOT live up to the hype. Its fun, its a great take on zelda and an open world genre. But it doesnt feel like zelda. Its like an 8/10 game for sure. But its not gods greatest gift on earth like everyone seems to be saying.
Couple of things that bug me, but they might not bug everyone, as everyone can have their own opinion.
>weapons break too soon
Its very annoying, if they lasted at least maybe 50% longer id be okay with this. But my weapon busting after three bokoblins? No thanks.
>the shrine heart/stamina dynamic.
Its a unique spin on the heart piece thing for zelda. But shrines are pretty boring and i feel like im forced to do them to comfortably enjoy the game. The first couple varieties of shrines are neat but after awhile they just mesh together. I couldnt tell you my favorite one or one that stood out to me. If you could crush four shrine orbs together at any time to make a heart or stamina, i think this would help. That leads to my next piece
>four dungeons
Yeah this is a blow for me, four very unique dungeons are great. But a couple more would be even better. Theyre over so fast and merely just brain teasers. Id cut out some shrines and add more dungeons.
>items
Making so that i could earn runes along the way wouldve been better than getting them right off the bat. Itd make exploration better, i dont have bombs yet, but i see a cracked wall, ill come back to this place done the road. Hide some shrines behind these things. This couldve made for some sweet back tracking. I also miss items in dungeons. The lack of this also makes the dungeons feel less unique
Overall though its a very polished game and a lot of details. I just feel like its struggling with its identity. Like it wants to be zelda but it wants to be something else. 8/10 for sure. But not the greatest game of all time
The shitposting is always worth seeing these well made OC comics. I'm always amazed at the autism that goes into these. I mean that in a good way, I admire how much time and effort people put into something just for anonymous laughs and not for publicity.
>better than OoT and MM.
It's good but not that good user.
Best since n64 though.
