Not to my knowledge, but I didn't pay much attention to the Wii U. But even then the Wii U didn't damage itself, destroy it's controllers by accident and have rumours that it bricks itself while charging. Even if there's not a Switch+, hopefully there will be an improved production run that just irons out these dumb issues.

Honestly, Nintendo should just give up and go full third-party like Sega did. This thing is going to bomb harder than Hiroshima because of the lackluster library, fragile hardware, overpriced software, and complete mismanagement. So far there's 2 games announced (not necessarily out) I'm even slightly interested in, one of those being zelda. Zelda I can either emulate soonish, or get a used wiiu and play it on that. Dropping 500 dollars on a console that might be another wiiu and might not get touched for a year after I finish 1 game just because I can't be patient is not a good way to spend money.

If more come out (that dont end up being crap, federation force style), I'll get it then.

Sure. Even if it has just one game now, it sold more than enough units to ensure a large enough install base for future support. Despite what Nintendo says, the 3DS has slowed down to a crawl and I'm pretty sure all those devs are working on quality games for Switch. Can't wait to see what the likes of Level 5 and Atlus will announce for it at TGS or perhaps even sooner.

If you already have a wii u, get BotW for that and don't bother with the switch.

If you have neither console, I personally suggest buying a wii u instead. You'll have to buy used since nintendo stopped making the console, but it has an advantage in that it can play every zelda game. Yes, even that one.

I was told you can see far into the distance is you're at a high place. All the shrines I could see (at the top of the Sheikah tower (Except for the bomb shrine)) were either below the plateau, or required travelling through extreme cold.

tl;dr The plateau was too big without clearly outlining where I needed to go so I got bored.
