Now that Zelda's done open world, what style would you like to be done next? I want a more combat focused game, like Devil May Cry.

It's never gonna happen.
Zelda games are designed for kids.

Botw seems like it would be pretty hard for kids.

Kids play Minecraft. Even Minecraft doesn't have slow-motion.

>Now that Zelda's done open world
What is 1986?

Vanquish is one of the best games ever made, I don't get your point.

Mystery Dungeon game

>DmC
Just go play Hyrule Warriors. Also fuck you.

Zelda is about exploration

Hyrule Warriors is shit.

No shit.

The gameplay doesn't fit Zelda.

It still could be.

FPS

It's shit because it's an unpolished looking mess.

Zelda is about dungeons and dungeon items and exploration.

don't be facetious and forget the rest of what makes Zelda games.

>comparing musou to DMC

Its shit cause the combat is already over complicated and it still isn't half as complex as a DmC game. The style doesn't fit Zelda.

>comparing a game about comboing sandbags to a game about comboing sandbags

Guitar Hero clone

Shit level design, and it looks like a shovelware game. That type of gameplay could easily work if the main devs worked on it.

Its going to stay like this. Just refine the dungeons and maybe have a better set of runes.

Not even in your wildest dreams.

>Now that Zelda's done open world
It did it back in 1986. BotW just went back to what it should have always been.

how the fuck was ALttP or OoT or WW not open world.

Fuckin hate you shitters keep sayin' BotW is the first Zelda game since LoZ1 to be like LoZ1 when only the exact opposite is true.

Turn based RPG

I never said they weren't. Why are you assuming things? However, Ocarina and Wind Waker are nowhere near as open as the first 4 Zelda games. Something Aonouma himself said inspired him to make BotW a true open world.

beat 'em up or fighting game

All of those are linear. They're not sandboxes.

These threads are the best because it's just all the people who haven't played the game and just spout memes because it's a genuinely hard game to critique without talking about performance.

GTA games are linear too if you want to be dumb about it like that. Younhave to complete missions in a linear order to unlock access to certain vehicles or sections of the cities.

Mainline Zelda has that too, so I guess they're all the same game already.

The game really is empty, it uses 2 minute shrines, mining with bombs and picking up/placing rocks as a way to give meaning to the, what feels like, endless field running and mountain climbing.

The game is only fairly detailed in the small towns that are spread far and wide but even then what makes the game detailed in these specific parts has been done by previous games.

I don't see how these are memes.

I honestly just want a more linear game again. I don't have time to play a large open world game where most of my time is spent walking through empty areas.

No one is claiming Zelda is a sandbox. Open world and free roaming are two different things. You can claim Zelda 1, 2 and BotW are free roaming. LttP and Link's Awakening are open world. The rest are arguably linear as story events dictate where you can go. yes, even Wind Waker you are limited to going places based on story triggers.

Zelda is about combat?

Yeah, I learned my lesson.

Waaaah

I wrote the pasta, so it's not pasta, it's just me saving time not writing something unique for every thread.

b-but it doesn't cou

oh he stopped arguing because he lost

They're probably going to toy with more roleplaying elements in the next one; letting you "build" your Link in more varied ways than just health versus stamina, giving you NPC companions, meaningful decisions that lock you out of content, stuff like that. Maybe even multiplayer if they're feeling really out there. It probably won't be good, though.

Then reference the post without copy pasting unless the thread got deleted

>I wrote the pasta, so it's not pasta

really activated my almonds

Good, the only even remotely valid point you have there is menu healing which isn't all that egregious when you consider that the likes of DMC have the same mechanic.

What you mean like this?

Ye like that. Works when (USER WAS not BANNED FOR THIS POST)

>activated almonds
This meme is pretty dank

Almost finished installed botw on cemu. What should I expect?

Turn based

how would a zelda fps even work?
