But honestly, I'm not sold on Stormblood. They haven't given us shit about it. The trailer relies more on "Ooooo look at Samurai! Look at the cool Eastern scenery."

It gives us nothing of value. Go back and rewatch the trailer for HeavensWard. Then compare it to the Stormblood trailer. Stormblood is void of so much shit it's suspicious as fuck. Plus, they're going to butcher and dumb down the combat like GW2 did. It's not looking good. And the more interviews they do, the shittier it seems.

Not really. Monk has the potential to be the most important job in your team but if you have a DRK you just become instantly the worst job in your party.

Nothing is really "bad". The only reason people shit on Monk, is because it offers no "raid" utility. But for the job it's supposed to do, it's fine.

Fair enough. It may be jumping to a conclusion, but what to do you think they mean when they say they're going to prune the ability lists for the classes? What do you think they mean when they imply they want to raise the skill floor to make it easier for people to be able to do a rotation? It's only like 10 buttons now. Any less and you're literally into GW2 style combat.

There was just a Q&A where people asked questions about everything other than stormblood even though they prefaced the QA by saying you could ask about stormblood.
The questions and answers of note were:

They've stated they want the number of skills at 70 to be equal to the number of skills we currently have at 60. So our rotations will likely have the same amount of inputs.

The big hints they've dropped so far are things like combining Thunder 1-3 into 1 skill. They can achieve the same functionality Thunder1 and 3 currently have by simply using a trait to buff T1's duration and base potency during a thundercloud proc, this also gets rid of the redundant Thunder2.

The big thing with Enochian is how they let it slip that it may change to a permanent buff like NIN venoms or they may simply allow you to use Fire/Bliz4 without it. Nothing is final in that front though, so we're stuck waiting for more info.

At the very least we know that want to remove the least useful/least used abilities to make room for the new ones. Off the top of my head, repose is completely useless and stone 1-3 could be homogenized. Thunder and aero too.

Yes.

For most weapons, 1 weapon damage is worth around 10 main stat. i280 is 3 weapon damage over i275 on top of having more main stat on its own.

an i280 with 0 secondary stats is still better than an i275.

10-11 for magic DPS
15-16 for physical DPS
25-26 for tanks

i280 is 3 more weapon damage for magic, but only two for physical.

beliving aint gonna make up for 2-3 weapon damage increaese. One of my caster friends said it's 3 weapon damage increase for casters, 2 for melee, and 1 damage for mch/brd.

Yes, that's why they did it I think, which raises the question as to why they think the relic is just as good when they know how much primaries/WD affects DPS

I'm guessing Yoshi pitched the idea of 280 weapons and no one on the balance team had the balls to tell him why it's a bad idea.

He really should just let you augment alex weapons and add a new relic step that brings them up to 280 in the next patch.

Does this really matter? Does it actually fucking matter? Anyone who cares already cleared Alex or finished their relic and has their weapon. And after that, there's nothing else you need a high level weapon for.
