Should I even bother with this? Is it at the very least a somewhat entertaining RPG?

nope

The upgrade/class system can get pretty in depth. You don't even have to out up with the shitty members of the team if you don't want to.

nah it's shit

There are some must have mods that make your abilities feel like they're actually doing damage instead of tickling the enemy's health bar. Similarly, using the cheat engine table to give your weapon a damage buff is also recommended. The main quests are pretty good but the game world is dead and the side quests are boring shit. Unfortunately, you have to do a certain number of them to progress things. It's fun to go through and make your own decisions and the main quests are all interesting enough. The combat is a slog unmodded/uncheated. Yeah there's a faggot companion and a tranny secondary character. You're not required to interact with either of them.

It's mediocre, only play it if you are out of options.

Still better than 2 thou, so if you liked that trash there's that

It's decent. Some annoying collectable style though non mandatory quests and your mileage may vary regarding characters, but animations are good, high difficulty setting are decently challenging for the most part, environments and animations are good and the writing is solid. Tactical view + combat isn't as fluid as I'd like but the hotbar skills combat can be fun most of the time.

it's legitimately the worst rpg I've ever played

>good animations
Why lie like this?

I had a decent amount of fun roaming around everywhere that wasn't Storm Coast

cause it's not all a matter of some meme cutscenes.

How? I'm genuinely curious. The world is so unbelievably empty there's absolutely nothing to explore...

It's shit

Shit was pretty boring senpai.

What do mean, Bioware is the leader of AAA game animations. Andromeda ruined that image for them.

I liked finding skull rocks, I do not have a clue how to explain it

he might mean combat animations, in which case I wouldn't doubt it. Even DA:O had pretty good and fluid combat animations despite the cutscene animations being terrible.

>an ancient evil awakens (again)
>you are teh chosen one and only you can stop him because you the plot demands it
>do some shitty quests to get some backup
>if you can stand any of the companions, fix their daddy issues
>defeat the ancient evil

There I just saved you about 30 hours.

>Should I even bother with this? Is it at the very least a somewhat entertaining RPG?

I found it fun, and the first handful of areas are neat. It just gets hella boring after a certain point and you can tell they stopped trying when all the enemies become copy pasta and the quests turn to simple fetch quests in the end areas.

It isn't very good but slightly above average if you keep your expectations within reason.

If you can get it really cheap or free (hint) then you could do worse.

Protip: Get armor piercing abilities early on since the game's idea of difficulty is wrapping armor in anything and everything. Stick to the main story too cause it'll over level you and gear you, while if you just try to play it your way, you'll face high stress and low benefits. Main story also unlocks more areas, so there's little reason to deviate from it.

It's pretty cool. The characters are varied when it comes to sexuality and gender, which pisses off Sup Forums. It has an okay combat system. Story is decent. You don't need to play Origins or 2.

6.5/10 Definitely playable. Think of it as a bargain bin Witcher.

yeah, and context animations (like trudging up or sliding down inclines) particularly impressed me, though I mostly played as a giant qunari

I remember the weird doll-like 'love' scenes in D:AO. A lot of games have shit cutscene animations to look past.

Bad gaem.

Do you have the game? What part are you on?

It's trash. I've put in two playthroughs and over 325hrs.

I wanted it to be good but it wasn't. Loads of worthless fetch quests that were poorly made represent 70% of the content. The actually "good stuff" is poorly written and shit. The open world is static and boring.

The characters are legitimately the worst Bioware has even done. I honestly prefer DA2 to this game. At least that game had charm.

not him but setting undead to rest on the ramparts of that notFrench civil war area, looking for elf runes by torchlight in dim ruins, trying to please those dalish so I can recruit that one elf to the Inquisition, exploring an empty estate and piecing together what happened to it, those dragon fights (the electricity dragon had some fun environmental interactions too). Things like that. The mmo fetch stuff feels like it dominates the stuff you do cause there's so much of it, but I always leave that shit to the end.

Its really bad. While some of the characters in the Mass Effect series were likeable, DA:I's characters could not be any more boring. It's a shit dungeon crawler.

>Plays over 300 hundred hours
>Says the game isn't good

What the fuck, dude?

It's the definition of "a mile wide and an inch deep". The class system and combat are alright though and not all characters are complete shit

If you haven't played DA:O yet, play that instead.

I played it to completion the second time plus all the dlcs. It's objectively not a good game.

DAI is quantity the game. Very inferior to prior games and gets anally devasted by all the Witcher games.

Is this a meme? Every late game map has multiple levels, fixable bridges that lead to new areas, tons of quests everywhere, etc. The exploration is great.

It's ok. Nothing great and certainly not GOTY, though.

Biggest disappointment is that the writing and set-up just went... nowhere. Pretty unsatisfying desu.
