Does upgrading armor give more armor value or also increase its effects (more heat/cool resistance, faster climbing)
Do Lynels ever interact with each other like lower tier enemies do?
Are korok seeds in your guide?
Robbie had a hard life
yes but you'll need a microscope
>Favorite character
Riju and Purah
Haven't beaten the game yet, working on getting all the memories I go to Hyrule Castle so I'll refrain from commenting on the story until I see the end.
gives armor value, I think wearing all of a set can increase resistances, climbing, attack power
>bought a house
>big empty field gets flowers and trees
>cant turn it into a farm
fuck this shit so much
No but they'll stand off with you. I love standing across from one, pull my bow (making him pull his), and then we do a Western-style draw to see who gets the hit off.
is there green tunics in this game that arent from the amiibos
>Who is your favourite character?
Zelda herself, I like her character arc
REMINDER
Link is CUTE!
just more armour
status effects are 3 tiers, so even having a 3 tier set then a 3 tier food/elixir, it is only 3 tier status effect
Just one, do you want to know how to unlock it?
>Can't marry Zelda and bring her back to your house post game
why live
>600 korok seeds
I'm getting there, lads!
Will def. post pics once I finish this madness.
>fight a Bokoblin
>licks it's lips while aiming at me
>nose wriggles
>look at them at their campfire
>dancing around, spelling to one another with hand gestures even
WHY ARE BOKOBLINS SO CUTE FUCK
better not be in a shrine chest
Anyone willing to tell me how many shrines are in each region? I'd look it up, but I don't want to actually know where they are, that ruins part of the fun. I just want to know the number because I'm trying to do all of them to get the Hero's clothes before I beat the main story
For shits and giggles I committed suicide by attaching an October Balloon to one side of a log and stood under it while waiting or the sweet release of death
user, I...
Oh don't worry, it's not
Not exactly but I hope you like shrines.
Don't worry. It looks like shit anyways. At least the pants do.
...
>Who is your favorite character?
If we're talking about the characters that you encounter over the course of the main story, Zelda is obviously the answer - she's definitely the best Zelda iteration so far. Out of the entire cast, though, I really liked Robbie's attitude. Never stop being player, dude.
>What parts of the story do you want to see more fleshed out?
Especially given the all-memories ending really clearly leaving the game open for a possible post-game sequence, the idea of rebuilding Hyrule is something that I wish they had done more with. If anything, I hope that that's what they do with the additional story content in the DLC - don't force bullshit into the story we already, let us play around in the world after Ganon (maybe have a FFXV-esque option to switch back to a world where Ganon is a threat at any time).
>Funniest deaths?
Most of my deaths were pretty bog standard, but the first time that I died from fall damage was pretty jarring and funny. I was climbing the Dueling Peaks and slipped when I ran out of stamina, the 10-second fall gave me a lot of time to contemplate the horrible mess that I'd end up being.
>Other thoughts.
I completed the game earlier today and managed to stay spoiler-free beforehand (I've been away from Sup Forums for quite some time), and I have to say, unless my opinions gets drastically soured upon a replay it is absolutely my favorite Zelda, and quite possibly one of my favorite games of all time. It's not unseating The World Ends With You quite yet, but that game took a few years to grow on me, so I don't want to make statements that I can't take back.
By the way, does Sup Forums hate Breath of the Wild? It seemed before the game came out that everyone was saying it was going to be awful, but did we finally witness the rare moment that Sup Forums didn't turn on a game?
I'm working on it, there's a directory in the guide but I have to manually add the areas. Just give me a moment.
Tell me about Link.
Why does he wear the mask?
>TWEWY
supreme ass taste
And even Sup Forums can't deny the game is pretty good
Is it in a shrine or not? I don't want to have to do 2/3rds of them to find the one it's in.
What do I name my Ganonhorse Sup Forums?
Getting fucked up by a meteor rod wizzrobe because he started burning literally everything around me has been my most funny/exciting death so far.
I'm not that far in the game but Papaya seems pretty qt.
>100 hours in
>find out square and round bombs don't share a cooldown
It's okay user. You only have to do every single one of them to unlock it. I'm not kidding.
Nut up and buy an amiibo, it won't break the bank. The little figures look decent enough and I already got the LoZ tunic, the OOT tunic, and Biggoron's out of it.
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
...
you have to do all of them
>Bonus
>Yesterday a friend came over to play the game
>he asked me how to shield surf
>he was dicking about on top of the Temple of Time when I told him so he tried it right then and there
>After about 3-5 attempts he got the input right but the shield fucking broke and he tumbled to the edge of the roof with like 1 heart remaining
>We both scream "NOOOO" as we watch Link slowly roll off the roof to his death
>during the fits of laughter I say "My name is Link and this is Jackass"
>3 minutes later we finally stop laughing
Good shit.
Are you a nintendy shill trying to make me buy irl dlc?
glad it wasnt just me
KokuĊ
I recently upgraded my ancient chest piece to the max and what the hall does the fairy do to you in that fountain?
You know, I had mixed feelings on the game having minimal backing music, but I think that that decision all paid off in the last hour of the game. After 60-odd hours of relative silence with the occasional bar of piano music accompanying crickets, going into the final area and getting this booming, beautiful, daunting soundtrack was incredible. It got me really amped for the final fight.
Who is your favourite character?
Mipha, Paya, Sidon
What parts of the story do you want to see more fleshed out?
More Mipha and Paya
Any ideas for the DLC, or the next game?
Yeah, how about some strong enemies for postgame?
This is easily one of the best songs from the series.
youtube.com
It didn't take me 100 hours but I definitely didn't realize for a really long time.
Do all the shrines. It's a completion bonus. It also makes your sword beams stronger.
There is a shrine that forces you to understand this.
...
Absolutely not. But Nintendo's BOTW IS a masterpiece of a game, and as such I would recommend you buy the entire Zelda line of amiibos to compliment your experience.
But really I got my two Zelda amiibos as gifts for Christmas so no harm no foul. I really don't mind them that much.
How do I get the master sword to fire sword beams? It doesn't seem to when I'm at full health
How. I'm at 100 shrines and only 130 or so seeds. Is there types of Korok games that I'm overlooking?
>climb to the very top of Hyrule Castle
>drop into the top of the Sanctum
>there's a creepy pile of goop on the floor with gross looking tentacles sticking out of it, which I can only assume is Ganon
Would have been cool to trigger an event or cutscene by exploring and going into that room first desu
>Facetank all the guardians
>Calamity Ganon ded with just a handful of Ancient Arrows
Let's not even get into that real last fight
But anyway, agreed on music and atmosphere. I just wish it were more challenging without having to gimp yourself.
The only dlc costume I want is Fierce Diety's set
what a dickhead
>Climb Death Mountain
>There's a fucking Korok up there
Throw it
Koroks are hiding in some of the weirdest places, like just under random rocks, after a while it actually starts to become obvious where a korok is hiding, also sometimes you'll hear them
I would of rather just have a post Ganon game after you defeat him. Just keep the guardians and other monsters in the ruins and just remove all the dark goo stuff to make it easier to navigate.
try throwing it
The DLC will bring the Champions back, right? Link never got that fish tuna.
Thanks, never would have guessed
that might have been when I figured it out, I've done a lot of shrines
>hear them
seriously?
I liked him
Sounds like something out of Golden Sun
you can make the hylian tunic green at the dye shop, i actually really like the way it looks
They're fucking everywhere.
Handholding, underwater
What armor should I get? I've been trying to get Barbarian, but is it worth it?
They make a very distinct noise
900 seeds.
Just got to Kakiriko. Are there any actual dungeons or is it just those small ass shrine things?
Also I sold a bunch of shit to get that stealth set. Hope I didn't need any of it.
Is it bad that I get hungry when I look at Mipha?
That shrine is how I found out. Learning that made other shrines with switches so much easier and less harsh on my arrow supply. I'm kind of glad they don't directly tell you about it earlier in the game; rewards those who experiment and makes those who don't feel silly, like me.
>Korok on top of Hyrule castle
Not sure why they need link when they could just pass the mega blade to a korok and have him wander over to ganon
...
Guess I'm just not in tune with the forest spirits enough
That Ain't Falco!
The stealth set is pretty OP, you did alright.
There's 4 actual dungeons
they're boring let downs
You know, I was kind of okay with the last sequence being fairly easy. After building up my arsenal for the entire game, ostensibly for the purpose of preparing for the final fight with Ganon, if it was incredibly difficult I feel like I would've wasted my time. Preparing my on-person armory for the sole purpose of completely flattening Ganon's army within the walls was a slow process, and I'm not sure if it really paid off, but it still made feel like a badass, and that's what I really go to games for.
If you sold any gems like topaz and shit you fucked yourself
WEW
No one on Sup Forums is powerful enough to appreciate the gravity of your post, so here I am from /m/ to tell you that you did a good job user
Not really worth all that effort in grinding and getting all the stuff for it, but it's alright.
Really any armor is fine since they almost all upgrade to great defense. Personally I like the Sheikah one, because once you have all of that upgraded high enough, it gives you a nice speed boost during nighttime on top of all that stealth, and the lower defense keeps things a bit more interesting since otherwise something like Ancient Armor set makes you literally take 1/4 heart per hit from lynels.
what are topaz and rubies for?
If you've played Wind Waker the sound is immediately recognizable
>people do 100% speedruns of the popular zelda games
well I guess that's an end to that.. haha. right? nobody would actually do that.
...
There's another even closer to Ganon.
LOL I fucked myself. What did I fuck myself from getting/achieving?
Thank you, Senpai
>every dungeon
>every shrine
>every side quest
>every photo
>every korok
400 hour 100%
I don't think the dungeons are boring, or at least more boring than the previous zeldas, but they are too short
Armor upgrades and a quest later. Don't worry about it, once you get to Death Mountain you can build your mineral supply fairly quickly.
If you go in fully prepared, you feel so strong that the divine beasts are just unnecessary overkill.
But it's a nice difference if you've gone in early before, since then they can just fucking demolish you then and it's practically a stealth game.
