How could TES be even more casualized?

How could TES be even more casualized?

>tfw a lot of Sup Forums's casualization jokes for Skyrim came true

By making it Fallout 4 with swords.

Remove sidequests. They're shit anyway.

Make the side quests so shitty they're indistinguishable from radiant quests

Increasing health, magicka, or stamina each level? Too complicated. Now you just get points automatically added with each level.

By removing dragon shouts.

Instead of starting as a prisoner.

You start as the son/daughter of the arch mage of the college. The opening scene/setup involves your father dying and you getting the position by ?Birthright?.

Your first quest is to contact the Dark Brotherhood to see if they had something to do with your father's death. If you decide to destroy them, it will turn out they did! If you choose to join them they will make you leader and send you to the Warrior's Guild to find out if they had anything to do....

>building your own fortress
>needs and survival mechanism
>commanding your pet
>enemies that actually duck or ambush you
>expanded crafting
>layered armor and separate pieces for each limb
>more interactions with companions

Like Fo4, basically.

>all these shitty gimmicks get higher prioritized than an actual story, ingame-characters with personality and actual role-playing

fuck nu-vidya.

They haven't had this since Morrowind.

>nearly every WRPG nowadays is 98% sidequests, 2% plot

Fuck this trend. They were called SIDEquests for a reason, when they make up an overwhelming majority of the game you've fucked up

>TES VI: Argonia

>All races now have the same stats & starting skills. The previous racial powers can be obtained in-game by selecting a "Specialization" from certain trainers in cities. Bosmer & Altmer combined into "Old Elves," Nords, Bretons, & Imperials combined into "Northmen," Orcs removed.

>All dialogue choices involve choosing between 4 options: "Yes," "No," "Maybe?," and "Yeah, sure!" All choices are interchangeable and advance dialogue equally. All NPC settlements have between 1 & 3 buildings, aside from several main cities which have up to 6 buildings. There is one male & one female voice actor for each race.

>Fast traveling can now be done to any location on the map, regardless of whether the location has been previously visited. In addition, viewing a Quest in your Journal gives you the option of fast traveling directly to the next objective for that quest, wherever it may be. Fetch quests removed; all quest objectives now involve combat.

>There are now only 3 factions, the Dark Brotherhood & Thieves Guild combined into the Shadows Guild. All 3 guilds (Shadows, Fighters, & Mages) are housed in different wings of a single large building, the Guildoffices Complex. Each guild has a 3-quest questline to become the leader.
After escaping from prison, you learn of the local legend of a particularly infamous Hagraven colloquially referred to as "Aunt Hag." Apparently Aunt Hag has used an Elder Scroll to learn a secret art which can forcibly extract sap from the Hist trees and use it to empower herself. She has become hopped up on Hist and is planning to use her newfound power to destroy the world. You must find and defeat Aunt-Hag-on-Hist.

?Lore: The 8 Divines combined into 3 Divines, and the 17 major Daedric Princes combined into 5 Daedric Princes. Each race depicted as either inherently evil or good for simplicity (E.G. Dark Elves are evil, Old Elves are good).

You've done it you absolute madman

Don't mind me...just taking some notes...

>TES VII: Valenwood

>Your Health, Stamina, and Magicka are now directly tied to your character's level, and cannot be influenced.

>There are now 6 Skills, with the removal of Armor, Speech, & Illusion. Melee and Archery are combined into Weapons, Sneak & Lockpicking are combined into Stealth, and Restoration & Offensive Magic are combined into Battlemagic.

>Bows/Crossbows replaced with the new "Gun" weapontype, reverse engineered from ancient Dwemer prototypes.

>Northmen & Redguards combined into "Humans", Old Elves & Dunmer combined into "Elves", Argonians & Khajiit combined into "Beastmen." Elves look exactly like Humans but with longer ears. Beastmen also look exactly like Humans, but with several animal traits such as fangs, furry ears, or slitted pupils. Standing Stones removed. Orcs re-added, then removed in patch.

>NPC Dialogue is automated without any player input. When not giving an automated dialgoue as part of a quest, all NPCs are silent. Cities removed; all NPCs live in one of the 5 single-building settlements. All NPCs in a particular settlement share the same voice-actor, regardless of race or gender.

>Quests now autocomplete once sufficient time has passed since accepting them, depositing rewards directly into the player's inventory. All quest objectives for all quests now involve entering caves and killing Draugr. This includes assassination quests, which have Draugr exclusively as targets in place of NPCs.

>All guilds combined into a single guild, called The Guild, with only 1 NPC, The Guildmaster, who gives a single quest, "Become the next Guildmaster."

>While studying ancient scrolls in the library of the prison you are held in, you learn of a prophecy that Aunt-Hag-on-Hist will be resurrected soon and attempt to conquer Nirn. After enacting your cunning escape plan, you start to follow clues leading to Aunt-Hag-on-Hist.

>Lore: Daedra renamed Demons, Aedra renamed Angels.

TES is dead. Oblivion's mainstream success started a cycle of dumbing down.

Remove skill trees altogether

>All dialogue choices involve choosing between 4 options: "Yes," "No," "Maybe?," and "Yeah, sure!" All choices are interchangeable and advance dialogue equally.
You MONSTER

Let me add these
>Like fable 3 you can't actually die. Instead your character just gets stunned after losing all hitpoints.

>There is only HP. No mana or stamina.

>Removal of character creation system. You may only choose from a small number of preset characters.

>There is no overworld at all. Only Dungeons and towns.

>There is no currency in the game. your weapons and armor are simply upgraded along with your level.

>You may 'hire' (or rather ask since there is no currency) NPCs to help you with quests. They will fight for you. In the DLC you may even have them complete quests for you without having to leave town.

>You are automatically invisible when crouching. You are almost never detected unless you take a hostile action.

>Lore: There are fewer regions. Cyrodil, Morrowind, Skyrim, Valewood and, Argoina are all that is left. All other regions are absorbed into them for the sake of simplicity.

Fallout 4 already accomplished that

Please dont meme this into existance...

A SLIDEWEEL WITH YES AND NO AND THAT'S IT MAIN QUEST IS ONLY TWO MISSIONS 19 NPS IN WHOLE MAP CMON BETHESDA MAKE IT HAPPEN YOU FAGGOT

Some of that isn't casual or at least not "streamlining".

It would be set in Skyrim again.

Fallout 4 already did this, there's maybe a handful of side quests that aren't glorified errands

Managing a settlement, assigning companions to be Captain of the Guard or Steward, marrying a noblewoman and taking over the map town by town are all I want from an Elder Scrolls game

>the Dark Brotherhood & Thieves Guild combined into the Shadows Guild

don't mind this 2bh

thief and assassin is the same exact character build

>remove skill trees
>remove blocking, shield bashing and archery animations
>remove dual-wielding spells and weapons
>remove elemental projectiles (crossbow bolts)
>remove runes, spells with area effect, projectiles,
>remove mounts and mounted combat
>remove marriage, romance
>remove companion interactions
>remove NPC schedules
>remove voice acting
>"class" system that doesn't matter
>dice-roll combat with no miss animations
>make all NPC have the same generic dialogue
>make Khajit and Argonians look like silly cartoon characters
>gimmicky and shallow environment populated with psychotic elves
>2deep4u philosophical "lore"

>Aunt-hag-on-hist

That's the level of subtlety I expect of TES VI.

Remove skills

Only 3 perk/skill trees
>Melee
>Ranged
>Magic

Health/Stamina/Magicka are now all raised 10 points every level up.

No longer need to recharge enchanted weapons.

Resistances are removed now (Dark Elves no longer have fire resistance and Nords lose their frost resistance.)

Power attacks no longer consume stamina - the only thing that drains stamina is now sprinting.

"Executions" are now performed by pressing a certain key when enemy health are 40% or lower. You are invincible whilst performing an execution.

Frenzy, Harmony, and other spells that can control AI are now removed. All magic is now simple destruction, conjuration, and restoration. Maybe alteration.

You can smith or craft the best weapons at level 1 as long as you have the materials.

You can only play as one of the following: Nord, Imperial, Redguard, and Breton. You will have a male and female voice actor depending on the gender you pick.

Dialogue is now boiled down to only 4 choices: Yes, No, Sarcasm, Leave.

How the fuck do you want this shit from tes?

To add to that
>customizing your own Dwemer automatons out of scavenged parts from enemies
and/or
>making a composite Daedra companions out of various parts

They could always outsource it to Telltale.

TES games are mostly shit. Crafting, housing, and dressing up your character were the only good parts of Skyrim.

So fucking many tears

>NPCs can't be damaged at all unless a quest allows it.
>Stealing bounty removed, all items in cities can be taken without repercussion.
>Enchanting removed, instead you find gems with enchant effects you put into armor/weapon sockets
>Alchemy ingredients combined into one ingredient which has to be used on a flask to make health potions
>Armor is now just one item which functions as a full set, helmet included.
>Block is combined with one handed, dual wielding of all kinds removed.
>Magic schools are just destruction and restoration, no spell purchasing, spells are learned automatically when you level up whether you're a mage or not.
>Clairvoyance type spell is active at all times to help you not get lost.
>Side quests are all radiant fetch quests.
>'Minecraft inspired' fort building
>Can fast travel to places you've never been before.

Cosmetic dlc for consolecucks. Are you ready for black and blue Argonians?

Name 5.

>Fallout 4 style ''build your farmville town'' minigame.

>No skill trees or ability points, you just gain everything when you level up and select which ability is activated in combat

>When you die your meme powers rewind time back by 15 seconds so you can make better decisions.

While standing on one foot, humming the intro song to the last game you played that had one, and with ONE finger.

This is considering the attitude Todd Howard has had since Fallout 4's release. He has spoken out that the dialogue system didn't live up to expectations and wants to improve NPC's ( Essentially, making the RPG component better )

>Better push for voice acting, animation and dialogue - think Piper's intro in Fallout 4 as a nice precursor for this
>Despite this, the main character is *not* voice acted due to the backlash it got from hardcore fans back in Fallout 4

>Todd spoke about how he noticed how players liked the branching nature of the second half of Fallout 4's main quest so will likely either bring that back or make the branch happen earlier in the main quest. A good example of how this could work in TES is Daggerfall.

>Still has Fallout 3's lockpicking minigame
>Still has RNG pickpocket system thats not worth the investment for the seventh game in a row

>Main quest lets you 'form a Kingdom', essentially the civil war quest but you are the King/Queen of the land taking Bethesda's nature of making you leader to new heights. Just uses Fallout 4's settlement system for building.
>Still has Morrowind's alchemy system, can grow herbs in your house
>Todd notices how much people like weapon and armor mods so weapon and armor crafting is lifted from Fallout 4 and replaces the old weapon and armor crafting system.

>Animated cutscenes ala mass effect with your companions

>People say after the game is launched that its just "Fallout 4 with Swords" but that the swordplay is pretty good!

By glorifying the player for walking
By glorifying the player for equipping an item
By making the player the chosen one after swinging the equipped dagger
By defeating the awakened sleeping evil by pressing the activate button
By reducing towns and NPC's into text that players read through
By having dialogs no longer than one sentence.

-hp and magic regen instantly afer a fight
-get the "perks" as soon as you hit the skill level
-another minecraft / survival "mini-game" where your dragonborns (yes) will reap money and potions every 20 minutes
-teleport directly on the quest marker
-quickmap access where evrything is discovered as soon as you enter a place
-game will give you a "strong historical magical sword" after you discover your "destiny"
-immortal companions
-dimension pocket, where you can store unlimited stuff
-"portable" hub like fable 3, with a blacksmith, enchanter and all this stuff
-customized magic is back, except there's nothing but fire/thunder/ice enhanced with knockback/mp reduction / aoe increase (you'll be able to throw fireballs lvl100 with 1mp as soon as you discover this (5 minutes after entering the mage'd guild))
-every quest where you visit something will be skippable "yes, let me show you the grounds, but you can talk to this dude to skip it"
-every fetch quest will have a conveniently placed merchant that sell the needed item next to him
-you will be able to use elder scrolls, without penalty, they're just big fireballs
-you can be a vampire without any social debuffs and you can walk under the sun
-you just need to equip one "model" of arrow, they're unlimited now
-unlimited enchants, no need to recharge them
-you know the alchemy recepies as soon as you hit the skill level
-since bethesda will recycle their engine to the end of the universe: they'll add a rad- "corruption" system, of course it doesn't matter and will go down alone, this will be the occasion to have dungeons WITHOUT ennemies (because it's dangerous)
-alteration magic is nothing but stat buffs
-hitting a civilian will just spawn an angry guard, as soon as you hit 15 speech (every race except orcs start at 15) you can say "sorry" and they'll leave you alone
-you now have these following slots of armor: helmet, armor, jewelry
-one button to see the path, like fable 3 or dead space

>You can only play as one of the following: Nord, Imperial, Redguard, and Breton. You will have a male and female voice actor depending on the gender you pick.

I don't know about this, if Todd after Fallout 4's launch spoke about the widespread love of the main character being VA'd then I would believe he would bring it over to TES.

Considering he feels that it was a mistake though I don't believe his team would sacrifice half the playable roster ( Especially considering the backlash that aroused from the community back when TESO had DLC imperials )

How is any of this causalizing the series? It sounds like it's just making it way fucking better

You do realize people will complain no matter what?

To all the people saying it will be like FO4 remember there was a ton of backlash for that games poor choices.

Since Skyrim set a baseline for casuals I expect them to expand on it. Also they were put to shame by the witcher 3 and that is the reason thr next pne will take forever to come out. My guess is no more loading zones and flying will return.

Fuck Bethesda, post a dev that actually can make a good EoS spin-off.

After Dishonored 2 I don't know

D2 was gud. It's either id tech 5 or under table dealing with nvidia. id tech 6 is godlike, they wont make the same mistake with d3.

I wish more RPGs would borrow from Terraria when it comes to inventory management. Not only is there a "quick stack" button to stack similar items to the current chest, but there's a "quick stack all" button so that it basically does it for all nearby chests.

Towards the end of my time playing Skyrim, I felt like more and more of my time was dedicated to navigating the inventory menu. They should do anything they can to reduce the amount of time you have to spend managing inventory.

No more alchemy, enchanting, smithing. No more blocking. No more "Heavy" or "Light" armor, just "armor". No more blocking: shields just give more armor rating. Only weapons available are swords. Only magic is "fireball" and "firebolt"

>An Elder Scrolls Legend: Arch-Mage

From what I can gather Dishonoured 2 was alright (Haven't played it, but gameplay looks pretty good) it just suffered from absolute dogshit performance on pc at release.

I'm actually sort of looking forward to Prey

I prefer it to what the original prey 2 looked like

>Automatic crossbows
>vats using a shout
>no perks, you play as a daedric prince, thus you don't need to level

Realistically?

>Dialogue wheels
>Simplified races where races is merely an aesthetic choice
>Weapons skills are shortened to "Melee" and "Ranged"
>Reduction of magic skills
>Medium armor removed. Now it's just heavy and light
>Health regenerates at a slow but noticeable pace
>No multiple endings to quests
>Stamina is removed and simply ties in with magic

I miss the athletics and acrobatics skill. How was one meant to play a ninja in Skyrim?

>Medium armor removed. Now it's just heavy and light
>Health regenerates at a slow but noticeable pace
>No multiple endings to quests
>Simplified races where races is merely an aesthetic choice

user...

>but that the swordplay is pretty good
This is never gonna happen. No Elder Scrolls game will ever have good melee combat.

>teleport directly on the quest marker
The sad part is that people would defend this.
>Well you don't have to teleport to the quest markers

Next thing you're gonna tell me is that they'll remove spears.

Stamina and Magicka are merged into one stat - Power

Armor pieces trimmed down to body armor, helmet, and 1 ring only.

Removal of enchanting, smithing, alchemy, now you just find everything

No individual skill trees. Everything is trimmed down to combat, magic, stealth.

No perk trees. FO4 leveling system without attributes.

No racial powers or abilities. Argonians can be poisoned and Dunmer aren't resistant to fire etc

Normal difficulty is the equivalent of Oblivion's Very Easy.

No manual dual wielding. Daggers are always dual wield, some swords are dual, etc.

No soul gems, now your magic weapons regain charge over time.

Morrowind lore removed for being confusing.

You should play Mount and Blade.
Bannerlord will come out Soon™

>Haven't played skyrim in over a year
>Remember they removed medium armor

Fugg. I was disappointed in the game as it was, but the more I remember of it, the more disappointed I get.

Races did have minor differences though. My guess is that in 6 those differences will be entirely aesthetic, and the quirk that comes with the race will be turned into a selectable "starting perk" of sorts. Health regen in skyrim isn't nearly as fast as what I had in mind - I was thinking something that removed the need for health potions.

Some quests had different endings. Not many, but some. I'm sure of it.

Your son is the villain kill him or nuke the commonwealth.

If they only had one really well designed set of basic armour that you could upgrade over the course of the game, and instead focused on story aspects, that would make it a much better game.

Skyrim is basically
>muh in game items: the game

Questlines are all dogshit.

> you can max all stats/skils in a single playthrough just by clearing main quest

> you cannot die in battle, you just gather "style points" and do aerial combo (like in DMC)

> crafting does not require any skill

> you can open unlocked shops in any place, even during battle

> dialogues are simplified and not interactive (jRPG style); you can only select YES/NO during important plot points, half of them lead into endless "are you sure?" loop

> weapons does not have stats, they unlock different moves/combos

> you cannot add any new resources (music, textures, models...), so all mods can run on console version

> custom modding tool just for creating romance routes

did you just described Morrowind?

no, they'll all be "radiant" quests
they'll find some way to shove more radiant randomized crap somewhere too, it's their goddamn dream, a game that makes itself

they'll remove more skills, maybe alteration, pickpocket, and two-handed or block
maybe remove the last 3 remaining stats fuck you goddamn niggers bethesda not even mods properly added them back

oh your post reminds me, they'll remove crafting weapons and armor altogether and shove F4's modding in there
as a result they'll also cut out half the base weapon/armor options, and call every modding permutation its own item in defense

>consolidate all weapon skills into melee
>consolidate all offensive magic into offensive magic
>consolidate all supportive magic into supportive magic
>consolidate all stealth based skills into stealth
>only one type of armor
>bring back oblivion-style spellcasting
>permanent shiny trail to quest objective
>get option to pay 5 bucks to get instantly revived if you die
>add VATS for ranged magic and bows
>don't make any noise while sneaking regardless of skill level
>add a minimap with enemies as red dots
>display enemy cone of vision on the minimap making them oblivious to everything outside of it

a thief is just a robber or a burgler, an assassin is a murderer. there is a differance

legendary enemies and drops just like fallout 4 because the retarded borderlands kiddies loved it
kill that legendary mudcrab right outside the tutorial section, get an explosive longbow, cheese the entire rest of the game

TES and Fallout games always were the dullest and most boring

not even worth pirating

3 skills to choose from

Combat
Magic
Stealth

No other skills or attributes

>not even worth pirating
yet you did it anyway, hypocrite
