Are there settings before you create a world that allow you to customise it?

It REALLY needs an objective. Like, what do I even do? It's not like Minecraft where you have to survive the night, you just... walk around and collect.

I haven't played multiplayer, but I really hope they allow players to make their own custom servers and mod them ala. Garry's Mod.

you first have to unlcok 100 gold bricks to be able to create your own worlds
before that you're given a infinite amount of randomized worlds (like minecraft)

but trust me, it barley takes 7 hours to unlock 100 gold bricks

Yeah, I have a goal. I will do a story for which I need more than one character / figure and do something with that. If I want to build a castle and whatnot, then that is fine as well. But it gets boring after a while because you don't have anything to interact with. The multiplayer is going to provide you with a deeper experience and then can be played however you wish it to be. But as far as Singleplayer is concerned, it seems boring after a while.

Does it matter. What is stopping them from doing that? "I don't get it" is not a valuable option here because, for children who don't know what it is, it would just be another world or car or whatever.
Either way, I couldn't care less about them putting in that shit and would moreso hope for expanded gaming worlds. Diving deep to find Atlantis and all that stuff.

LEGO LOTR was them trying to slightly change it into a basic Action-RPG. It was utter dogshit, though. As with all modern LEGO games. Though I did enjoy LEGO Marvel for its huge roster. It just gets boring after a short while.

What I like about this game (and I'm not sure if LEGO Dimensions is the same) is that everything is actually made by LEGO bricks. Such a huge flaw in the newer games where it's mostly just random stuff that makes it feel less like a LEGO game.

Like recreating smash bro stages, or an entire Zelda map, or City Trial from Kirby Air Ride (really want to do this one), or whatever really.
