I play couch co-op games over the internet with a friend.
It's a convoluted setup with Hamachi and Steam streaming but it works, and it works well enough to play platformers like Rayman Legends, and games that are too demanding for my friend's 9 year old PC.
You literally couldn't do something like that on a console.

Most consoles are cracked in the later stages of the gen after the one they are in.
The WiiU was cracked pretty fast though, dont think I have seen a major console become emulatable so quickly before. Switch wasnt even out and i was playing mario cart 8 with graphics patches and good frames.
