There is literally a shoutout to Sup Forums on the title screen, Sup Forums contributed a lot to the popularity of Minecraft, but I think all the money polluted Notch's brain and he took the game in a direction focused on survival and crafting rather than building and exploring. In the end it worked for him, he's a literal billionaire, but the game definitely is not as good as it could have been had he not catered specifically to underage autistic redditors.
