Getting the master sword makes Fire blight so damn easy.
I hope you all defeated Ganon whole completely nude except for your Bokoblin mask.
Ice arrows do the job just fine. In fact, it's pretty hard to hit it with any melee weapon.
Is 13 hearts the only way to get the Master Sword? I don't mind since hunting down and completing shrines is fun, but I was wondering if there was an alternative solution.
Where is my vanilla and chocolate delicious /u/ artwork?
No fag
Yes, you need 13 hearts. You can't cheese it with food bonuses.
I love Riju
You can reallocate your upgrades in Hateno, but you do need 13 hearts.
should I sell an ancient gear? what about ruby, opal and amber? are these things useful? I desperately need rupees
Well I meant something like finding all the memories or completing certain dungeons or stuff along those lines.
Keep the ancient stuff, sell the gemstones.
The rule of thumb is that the harder something is to find, the less of that you should be selling. Sell all of your opals and ambers, you'll find a ton of those everywhere.
Where do you do this at?
Find a shady looking statue around the entrance of Hateno. One of the local kids at the same entrance shows you the way, IIRC.
Who here /hoardingstarfragments/?
thanks. what's the best way to get rupees?
Reminder that this fucker ruined the most interesting aspect of the story
Get yourself a couple of hammers and go mining.
In what way user
also, one more question. where should I sell them? do different buyers have different prices?
Mining. Especially if you're strong enough to hunt down Taluses.
How many times have you master bladed to Zelda
Can't you fucks go make a general on vg
Nah it's the same price everywhere for gems.
Can't you retard open other threads
Nope. There's a Gerudo girl that'll buy 10 of them for 200 rupees more in Goron city, but you have to defeat the volcano guardian first.
is that a JoJo reference
Mining. Mark the spots on your map. The mining spots will regenerate after a while so you can go back.
Why would I do that in a game filled with thicc Amazonian brown muscle girls?
cool
well I started BotW a few hours ago, I'm in Kakariko now
I have like 20 of each rare gemstone but I heard there was a use for it in tarry town should I sell or hold?
Fuck you there are not supposed to be generals on Sup Forumsthat is what /vg/ is for
The most honest way is to find ore nodes, smash 'em up with an iron hammer, and sell the gems. Mark any spots with a lot of nodes on your map, because once the blood moon hits, they'll respawn.
You can also cheese the system for lots of rupees. Go to Lurelin and do the gambling mini game. Save the game, bet 100 rupees, and pick the chest. If you win, keep going. If you lose, reload. There's also a snowling mini game that, when you throw the snowball from the right spot, you're almost guaranteed to hit all the pins and get the grand prize.
Don't sell the ancient gears. They're the rarest item to get from the guardians, beside the cores. However, you only need a few cores to buy ancient armor, but you also need 20 gears.
Yeah! Stop spamming this board with threads about games. We need more shitposting switch threads and sony sale threads. Also did i mention switch is shit XD
I kind of wish he hadn't told you up front, "yeah, the champions are all dead" and instead led you to believe they were trapped in their Divine Beasts in the same way Zelda was in the castle.
It would've made it a way harsher reveal for you to defeat your first Blight Ganon and then learn the truth.
Really? I'm good on gears. Only have 4 ancient shafts though.
>Don't sell the ancient gears. They're the rarest item to get from the guardians
damn, really? I have 12
No! we need more e-celebrity threads! Also, did i mention the switch/ps4/pc is shit?
>Zelda: Best of the Worst
Well, you definitely want to buy that Sheikah suit. It's one of the most useful ones in the game.
where do you buy the ancient armor?
I know right? I'm so glad nintendo saved us from Modern Gaming.
where?
In the lab all the way up the northeastern part of Akkala.
Who /botwburnedout/ here?
I don't want to finish the game and I'm too lazy to do the side quests anymore, what the fuck should I do?
current map 1/2
is the voice actress for the gerudo champion the same as elma from xcx?
Has there been some kind of STALKER edit with "Find Ganon. Kill Ganon" yet?
we need more politics desu
Do dogs help you in combat?
I just fed the dog in Lurelin some food and it started to follow me. How far will it travel with me?
you shouldn't really worry about gettin' that stuff till later on, its not hidden or anything so dont worry
At the clothing store...
In Tarrey Town? not that I'm aware of. There's someone there who sells you gemstones, but for a hugely inflated price. In Gerudo Village you can use them to buy jewelry, which act as head gear that offers some kind of resistance, based on the gem itself. They're not very good, though, as you can just wear the headpiece for a relevant set of armor for that resistance, and get a set bonus at rank 2.
The only gems worth hanging onto are diamonds and luminous stones. Both are used in upgrading some armors at later levels. Diamonds are hard to come by, and while luminous is very plentiful, you'll need a lot of it compared to other gems.
>Thanks to our anonymized interest data provided by our analytics software, we are able to identify site users based on their various interests, including gaming preferences. This allows us to offer-up more insights on how and why our site is affected. Let’s start by looking at overall “Gamer” traffic to the site. Throughout the month you can see small traffic fluctuations from one day to the next. This is quite typical, as any event or holiday (no matter how big or small), even a TV series finale or movie premiere would affect traffic to our site. What is interesting is that you can see a very significant dip in traffic among Gamers over the weekend of March 3rd. Beginning on Friday- the day the Switch launched, traffic dropped -15%, -17% on Saturday and -13% on Sunday. The lowest numbers all month. Although the sales numbers aren’t out yet, Japan is estimated to have sold more than 330,000 units. While in the America’s it is being said that over the first two days of sales, the new console is already beating out all other systems in the company’s history. Which would explain the dip in Gamer traffic to YouPorn.
>Finally, our usual suspect, Top Related Searches. Sorry to burst your bubble but nothing too funny or dirty this time around. Seems as though gamers like to keep it simple, “Link” and “Zelda” had the highest increase in searches over the weekend. “Link” up 164%, while searches for “Zelda” were up 102%. “Nintendo” searches went up by 37%, and searches for some of the system’s OG characters like “Mario”, “Bowser” and “Princess Peach” increased by 24%, 23% and 16% (respectively).
What is the cue to parry with the shield? I have a really hard time deflecting attacks.
and of course I forgot pic related..
>Link, after 100 years you are finally ready to wield the weapon to defeat the minions of Ganon. Now go, destroy Ganon and save Hyrule!
Only Wolf Link. Dogs lead you to treasure.
You'll need tons of wood on that town, no stones.
oh, in Kakariko. I just came there, I'll check
>What is the cue to parry with the shield?
There's no cue. You just have to be really precise with timing.
Holy shit play the fucking game. Stop posting and just play the game. You dont need your hand held.
Modern Sup Forums, everyone.
2/2
Check the soup store too
Is this game worth getting on the Wii U?
Have the BOTW trainers been able to spawn in amiibo armor yet? Fuck nintendo for locking dlc behind expensive physical toys.
Yea fuckhead. Play it either way. I chose Switch because i plan on pkaying newer games other than just botw. But if you have a WiiU and you wanna play it get it.
Stealth armor is super expensive, at least early on, however. Its lower defense stats make it less appealing, and in Hateno you can buy a set of knight's armor that offers the most defense of any set you'll see for awhile (I think Ancient can go higher, but honestly I'm not sure), and is far cheaper.
That being said, yes, the stealth armor is awesome. Great for catching bugs and critters.
Are you underage or something? Do you know what /vg/ stands for? That's the way it works numbnuts if you are solely discussing the game then move it to the general board. Sup Forums is shit all the time and BotW isn't helping it with how much shitposting it generates and apparently we don't need the fans either considering your post is shitposting too
Cue?
The cue is you parry when the attack hits.
Git gud.
Oh wow. What point should I try to be parrying at? Right when it's about to hit?
In the tutorial I seemed to have to parry while their sword was still coming at me, the timing was super werid.
Oh neat. I haven't even been to area that has wolves yet.
This game is really big. I'm almost 40 hours in and have only uncovered about 1/3 of the map.
No you definitely need the Switch. This hames is the greatest of all time (the GOAT is what they say lol) and it is perfect on the switx. Like playing goats on the go? lmao then def get the switc the game is worth $100000
Suck my fucking dick LOL
Just go after Ganon now, then. Also looks like you only have one divine beast to go, and it's one that's really easy to get to, and super easy to cheese the dungeon with Rivaldi's Grace.
Once you got that, go after Ganon. The castle itself is littered with powerful weapons, just make sure you bring good food with you.
It literally depends on what's going to hit you, when, and how far away you're from the enemy. Just be sure to memorize how long takes Link to do the parrying animation and calculate accordingly.
Reeks of underage. Just play the game.
>I haven't even been to area that has wolves yet.
Wolf Link. As in the optional TP Wolf Link amiibo.
Otherwise your only persistent animal companion will be your horse.
>stop posting about videogame of the year in the videogame board please
The cue is so exact, I don't bother with it, and go for perfect dodges instead, as they seem to be more beneficial when you pull it off. Parrying helps against Guardians and the Ganon fight most of all, but they all have very clear indications when you should parry.
Good luck fighting Lynels without proper parrying skills.
Is there any benefit to parrying over flurry rush? I'm already done with the game but it seemed useless for everything besides reflecting lasers.
If you already have a Wii U, then I'd say yes. There's no difference in content between the two versions.
If you don't already have a Wii U, but want one, I'd also say yes. I loved the Wii U's line up of games. It's just that it, as a console, is crap.
>Mentions that the four pilots are dead before you ever get to see them
>Mentions that Link died defending Zelda, ruining half the drama of that scene
>Game acts like him being the king is a big surprise when it was really obvious
>The encounter is impossible to avoid despite open world games being about player freedom
It's fucking awful
You can dodge their attacks, too, though. I don't know how much damage you can get in after a parry, but after a dodge you can get several free hits in.
>100 years have passed
>maybe the pilots are still alive!
Come on, dude.
Sure, but their hitboxes are enormous, so it's easier to parry them.
>find hearty radishes
>cook one
>Maximum Health + bonus hearts
>have so many goddamn hearty radishes
>fill out food inventory with maximum health collard greens plus various situational elixirs
>enemies either do scratch damage or pretty much one shot-me
>don't want to use full-heal greens but can't go into tough encounters without full hearts
>have to start cooking early game meats and fish just to patch up scrapes
How is Zelda still alive?
How do I do a perfect dodge?
Also, fuck this game makes me feel old.
It's been 100 years. The only one who could have lived that long is Mipha, but you as the player don't know that so it wouldn't be wrong to assume she'd also be dead from old age.
And Link wakes up in the Shrine of Resurrection? What did you think happened to happened to him?
Yeah I realized after I posted my reply that I had misread.
>rarest item you get from the guardians
Until you reach Hyrule Castle, the turrets in there drop like 10 fucking gears per kill.
Because she's a Goddess.
By the time I had started fighting Lynels, I was committed to dodging over parrying, so I honestly never tried to parry them. I'll try it out next time I play, though. Maybe it'll make the Silver Lynel fight easier.
Yeah there's only so many ways nintendo can disguise the king of hyrule. From WW on, any mysterious character with a white beard is 100% the king.
>Getting hit
I think I see the problem here, you're a shitter.
How many times have we actually had the king though since Wind Waker?
