I was interested in this game, but once I saw the trailer and saw PC principal i decided to avoid it alltogether.

South park was in the shitter the last few seasons, but PC principal is just a reminder of when the show changed to its shit format and became NuPark.

Have they said anything about it?

After the last season, I wouldn't be surprised if Matt and Trey just gave up on everything South Park related. They should take a long break from the show, then come back when their creative juices are flowing again.

Might be a large part of the script, with some specific scenarios. Say there's a chapter where you uncover lizard invasion and Hillary's their agent - you can't replace Hillary with Trump and have it work.

Why is it so hard to develop South Park games? At least Obsidian had excuse of the publisher going belly-up, but what is Ubisoft doing?

I am going to bet that Ubi thought it was easy to develope, so they stuck their junior dev team on it, and now the project is falling apart.
