>microsoft can do it
>nintendo can do it
Why can't sony make a good multiplayer game?
Microsoft can do it
Microsoft is honestly the best at making multiplayer games.
It seems that way.
>Good multiplayer game
>No local multiplayer
Pick one and only one.
> REQ points cancer
Nope
Last of us had great multiplayer.
I guess overwatch, tf2, dota, sc2, aoeII, R6 Siege, Titanfall 2, Quake, Counter Strike, Battlefield, minecraft, civlization, aren't good multiplayer games.
It's still never gonna be as good as any of the Forza, Gears, or Halo games even at their worst.
>what is arena
>what is customs
I disagree
Quake and CS have LAN.
Hol' up, lemme just ignore the best fucking forge mode ever (For free on PC with a server browser)
Wut.
So does Halo 5.
Lots of those have LAN and/or local MP, like Battlefield, Civ and Minecraft.
Yes, games like Overwatch, DOTA, Titanfall 2 etc. are all bad multiplayer games. The former two are first and foremost vehicles for microtransactions, Titanfall had potential but still has online-only MP and next to no modes or features when compared to something like Halo 3.
If you're making a multiplayer game on a console, it should have local multiplayer and co-op. Otherwise, what's the fucking point? PC usually has LAN as an option, PS4 and Xbone cut that out almost entirely too, along with splitscreen. Gears 4 is the only Xbone game I can think of with LAN support.
Halo 5 does not support LAN unless they've very recently patched it in.
google eldewrito, game is really really really fun to play at 1080p 60fps
Halo 6 will have split screen and lan and will be even better than Halo 5.
I'd rather play Halo 5 customs + forge for free on PC than some bastardized version of H3/H4.
This guy knows what's up.
is there an easy way to get it on win7? havent checked halo 5 forge out since i found halo online, but you are right in that it isnt an non official/ not supported release :S
>the 343 employee who posts here every day is back
>he's samefagging and agreeing with himself ever time he posts
Keep up the great work and continue to lie to yourself while your already tiny playerbase continues to dry up
>MS before Halo 5 releases:
>"No one cares about local MP, we need to sell more Xbones and Live subscriptions, they'll eat it up anyway!"
>MS after Halo 5 releases:
>"H-h-hey guys, Halo 6 will TOTALLY have splitscreen again! P-please buy our games.."
Priceless.
Maybe now I'll buy a refurbished shitbox and a used copy of Halo 6 when it comes out.
Pretty sure they ditched split screen so they could hit 60 fps
...
That's not Halo 2
They're defiintly ding it for H6.
Because sony's strength throughout their whole playstation history has been single player games
What's your point?
it is the best Halo multiplayer since Halo 2
That was their excuse and I didn't buy it.
They cut it because the suits upstairs thought it would sell more consoles and live subscriptions. I don't think its a coincidence that all these big publishers suddenly started cutting local multiplayer and co-op at the height of the advent of paid subscriptions and DLC/microtransactions. It wasn't a problem at any point in the past, why is it suddenly a problem now? Because publishers couldn't sell you DLC and microtransactions before. Someone playing splitscreen at their buddy's house isn't spending money on his own copy of the game, his own Live sub or spending any money on DLC or microtransactions, like the REQ packs.
I don't believe that line of bullshit for a moment, they could have had splitscreen working just fine if MS wanted them to do it and gave them the time to do so. And now after Halo 5 sold well under expectations and failed to move a significant number of Xbones with a lack of local play being a big factor, they're suddenly doing a 180 and saying its important to them again.
>Left: A video game
>Right: An interactive storybook
No, CDPR are not doing it right.
Yeah, I feel like 343 were really trying to make up for their mistakes with Halo 4 which to be fair was actually a really good effort, flawed as it was.
Sadly MGS stomped on their shit that they believed wouldnt make them a quick buck and cut their development time. Halo 5 as it stands is the best all round multiplayer experience on the xbone, but only because 343 had to work overtime to patch and update and add in what they probably wanted to do from the beginning/shit fans have been asking for.
I have high hopes for Halo 6 but Im worried that the franchise is losing its fan base and thus the sales to power it forward.
They should make Halo 6 great and make it F2P.
THey made so much from microtransactions and it's inuslting to have microtransactions in $60 game, just have everybody have it for free on xbone/scorpio.
>People still don't realize Halo 5 is free on PC
>"Man I wish Halo is on PC"
It's here already you fucktards.
Halo 5 is cod compared to Halo 2A. Would rather play that.
>H2A
Why would I want to play shitty H4 shit.
halo 3 is still the uncontested best multiplayer shooter , every public match was pure fun
dont forget the costum games, cinema and singleplayer
>I'm worried halo is losing its fan base
>losing
Its 2017. 95% or more of halo fans (h1, h2, h3) are gone and would require a miracle to bring them back.
Good thing almost every Xbone owner actually bought Halo 5 and the mp community has been growing since launch.
Halo 3 is the worst of original Halo trilogy.
