What racing games are you playing, Sup Forums?
I'm taking a break to make this thread because keep holding R2 to accelerate in this game gets tiring after a while.
What racing games are you playing, Sup Forums?

both nfs 2015 and nfs rivals are garbage
I seriously hope they make NFS hot pursuit 2010 sequel
Isnt Rivals basically a sequel to HP 2010?
>2010 Hot Pursuit
>Not 2002 Hot Pursuit
god damn, Amy's missions are just damn frustrating.
2015 is very fun. very good game. silly fmv, pretty deep customization and car variety.. event variety.. looks fantastic. whats the problem? too arcadey?..its need for speed..
Aqua is not dumb she's best Kingdom Hearts girl
Konosuba Aqua is dumb.
what's Spike problem?
He wants to be fast but MC wont let him
Hes a "late 30's guy" trying to pass as a "young 20's guy" ?
Is the GT86( 2014) a meme car?
Only the best racing game ever made.
How is Rivals? Cops-and-Racers is the only kind of racing games I like anymore and they don't seem that popular now.
Love HP2 and HP 2010
Recently 100% Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed. Damn thats a great game. Probably the second best kart racer i've ever player. Crash Team Racing being #1
...
Yes.
I didn't get Rivals, only the other one. There was a sale the other time on PSN. But I only got this one.
Been wanting to play another need for speed for a while
last one I played was...
Most Wanted
holy fuck
that was over a decade ago. How old am I?
right now forza horizon 3 and the crew (both on pc).
Adjusting to using a wheel, and even though it's a terrible idea to use a wheel for an arcade racer, it makes it more fun.
Horizon 3 has terrible AI (massive rubber banding, don't follow rules like checkpoints, no brake sharp turns, cars don't matter for them) but it's still fun.
Crew has great open world, but is lackluster. I still play it because of how massive the world is though and it's soothing just driving around with a wheel
Heard its an average NFS game that suffered from being programed for last and this generation of consoles at the same time
Its 6 bucks on every sale so why not find it out
Forza 6. Grinding out the single player series to get some experience and money.
That's what I like about the Crew too. I only do races for money to buy more cars. 80% of the time I'm freeroaming with some music on getting lost in the game.
Rivals was the exact same game as HP2010 just open world and with a barebones and downright stupid plot
So basically HP 2010
I feel like this game gets way to much hate for what it is. A lot is deserved especially for the always online bullshit but everyone out right dismisses discussion of this game despite it being a fun time just to drift around. The map is also pretty top notch, lots of varied areas.
It's not that it's arcadey - the cars steer like fucking milk boxes, dude.
Although, I will agree on one thing - the guy who worked on its design did an unbeatably good job, and the fact that he takes from cyberpunk makes it even more significant.
I wonder how the shaky cam conflicts with the gameplay, do the cars feel they run on tracks ?
That's how it felt for me + the drift was just laughable.
its really well optimized too
games using Frostbite can run well on almost every single modern computer and still look good
...
Rivals was terrible and im glad I got it for like $5
What's wrong with the new NFS? I mean it took two years to make this shit.
I'm playing some Distance. its gud
Shame, last NFS's already felt too arcady though old ones could do it
But like you said, its looks prettys appealing so ill grab it for a cheap 10 bucks when it gets on sale
But it probably wont since I missed it some months ago
>on tracks
it feels like a fucking slingshot taking you wherever it wants
the driving physics in this game are laughable and rage inducing, mariokart on n64 steers more realistic
...
>asking someone who played the game for thirty minutes their opinion
You aren't even able to fully customize the way your vehicles handle until you hit a pretty high rank, until then you're essentially driving a stock car.
Also that shake is something that only happens in one of the camera modes from what I remember.
I haven't had fun in a racing game since Burnout 3 desu
I could never get into those pseudo racing sim games like Forza and every NFS game after Underground felt lackluster
GRID multiplayer with friends was really good
Finished doing everything in Forza Horizon 3 as well as FH3 Blizzard mountain a few days ago.
Tons of races, championships, etc. in that game but it was fun.
eternally playing Ridge Racer Revolution
eternally sucking at it and haven't cleared the extra course races despite being able to clear the starting three without really trying now
also, I need to clean up my drift recoveries a lot, I end up fishtailing like hell much sometimes
running on tracks can be fine
shit, Ridge Racer 2 on PSP is almost literally that, you can drift the wrong fucking way around a corner and move around it in the right direction (good fucking luck once you're out of the drift, you're probably gonna hit the wall as soon as grip is regained, and you slow down like crazy)
but the important bit is that it has to feel satisfying
Figured
So how long is it entertaining ? And is online really broken ?
If you get $1 for an hour of entertainment, ill gladly grab it next sale
Trackmania for lyfe
Trackmania.
AND I HEAR YOU BREATHING
AND ITS KEEPING
ME AWAKE
Carbon was the last good NFS.
It was Underground, but with a larger set of tracks rather than a bunch of the same sections over and over again with different combos.
The only reason why 2010 was good was because it was made by criterion, which basically turned it into Burnout Paradise with cops.
Got gold in every track but the last few black tracks, that shit was redicioules
I think the online was fine, I never had any issues.
I got roughly 40 hours within a week and a half and ended up getting a refund because I burned myself out on it by playing it a whole lot. I think I would still be playing it just to drive around in my favorites for a hour or so like I have been doing in GTA V if I didn't let the refund go through.
>the game that literally forces you to use the time slow super power on every fucking corner is the last good NFS
Have you even played the god damn game? Underground 2 was the last true NFS game, and if your opinion differs, you're a nostalgia-suckling faggot.
I didn't use any of the dumb powers on the playthrough and it was great, felt like playing a proper NFS game.
But using that definition, yes, Underground 2 was the last great NFS game.
How is Trackmania Turbo?
According to Steam, complete trash, mainly due to Ubisoft's direction compared to Nadeo's.
>and ended up getting a refund
Welp
But you sure make it sound like fun, like I said ill gonna check it out on the next sale
Maybe even the next NFS is announced on E3 then
2015 is fun but fuck it's difficult in places.
the mission where you race amy in nakai san's car is kicking my ass.
A proper Need for Speed? I am convinced you actually haven't ever played a NFS game before.
You had 0 ability to enter a drift at any time, people complain about NFS 2015 playing like it's on rails, then you will see someone praising the literal rail-racer Carbon in the same damn thread.
Go play through it one more time and just leave your nostalgia at the door.
NFSU2 was literally "let's make every aspect of the game WORSE so we can fall for the open world meme" the game.
Just picked up Forza Horizon 3, having fun getting to drive my carfu around 'Straya but performance is fucking awful, dips to 40 FPS all the time
my man
If holding a button tires you out, it's time to sell the video games and get a gym membership.
whats a nice racing game with some sort of progression system but not too grindy
Finished the demo for Forza Horizon 3. Been debating buying it. I really liked TDU and TDU2, and the Crew almost filled the open-world driving game hole in my heart.
The Crew had a great map, I just wish everything else about it was better.
nfs 2015
Stop speaking in memes trying to desperately bait and I will respond to you, kiddo.
I struggled at that race too. It took Amy to royally crash for me to win.
You guys aren't the only one that has this issue.
I first thought my game was broken when trying to do the Style line, it was literally impossible to overcome that fat black dude (or was it Nakai?) At the end of that race line.
I got lucky and he ended up spawning underground, making the race a cakewalk.
it starts to hurt holding the r2 button because it becomes uncomfortable for a long ass time if you play for hours without any break.
>NFS "muh spinners muh snoop dogg muh speakers" Underground 2
>calling others kiddo
You are the worst audience
Yeah this. Even managed to get the green medal on a few tracks
>Complain about the open world being a meme and ruining the game
>Bitch and moan about something completely different in the next post
What's next, kiddo? Are you actually going to go back and say what exact parts of the open world made NFSU2 a "meme game"
Oh wait, of course you won't, you already showed that with your "response" fucking manchildren.
any Sup Forums anons has the game on PS4 and want to do some races?
Kid who still nostalgias about Underground 2 and is completely blind to the fact open world dragged the game down
I'm totally ignorant of the NFS series, but hearing that Criterion made one has me interested, because the Burnout series used to be my shit. Which one are these screenshots from?
To answer OPs question, I used to play a lot of racing games, but haven't for a long time (Crash Team Racing excluded, but thats a kart racer). Last I played was Forza Horizon 1, but I never got that into it.
I barely ever played NFS games myself (OP), I don't play much racing games. I like Star Wars Racer and Initial D games, but the only NFS games I bought are the 2012 for PS3 game and this game.
Keep at it, kiddo.
Trackmania Turbo
Metropolis Street Racer (Dreamcast)
And I'm dabbling in The Crew because it was free.
Those screenshots are from Need For Speed (2015), yes that title is confusing and shit. It is made by Sweden's Ghost Games, remnants of Black Box, Criterion, Playground (Forza Horizon). If you want the best Criterion made Need For Speed, play Hot Pursuit 2010, available on Steam. DLC only available on console.
the crew is like a fucking f2p mmo, I don't know how anyone could justify buying that
You are the kid here who likes NFSU2
Midnight Club 2
Pick up and play arcade racing, every few races gets you the boss' car. Rockstar made, of course.
>gets called a kid
>starts to put it in his posts
stop embarrassing yourself and just answer him if you're so enlightened.
It's actually surprising how many people would defend NFSU2
I mostly stick with sims like Automobilista, though I play The Crew now and again cause I got it free and the map is fuck huge.
Thanks, man. I prefer my racing games on console so I'll keep an eye out for it on PS3.
Are you embarassed to express your opinion because you fear being laughed at?
You sure do a lot of bitching yet don't seem to be able to add any weight to your moronic shitposting because it's all "haha nfsu2 xD"
So ass blasted that people know the game you love is actually shit?
