I really hate what these devs are doing to this game. It's like they're fucking the game lore, character's charm and personality.

The way Specter of Torment recontextualizes Specter Knight's final words to Shovel Knight of his inevitable failure to defeat the Enchantress is honestly pretty sad.

Nah, they've been pretty deft with it. Specter of Torment kinda veers into more serious and sad stuff, but it isn't without using the lore to make jokes.

April can't come soon enough, i'm dying to play Specter of Torment

It's really good. I still think I prefer Plague of Shadows just for the story and how Plague Knight controls, he's still the most versatile, but man i'd be hard pressed to call it better than Specter of Torment objectively, makes me a little bitter that Plague didn't get the game rebalanced for him like Specter. Ah well.

Also, Specter Knight's Clockwork Tower theme is my new favorite track.
