From Youtube comments under teaser clip: Just to got some bad "inside" news on this from a close freind in thier engine dept. The lead environemntal graphics designer quit the project. Apparently there were several shakeups already in the Dev. Team and the engine team and graphics team had a HUGE falling out over the direction. Some wanted to push foward with some new GPU shader dx12 features and others did not. Apparently to accomidate the massive goals of a HUGE world environement, they wanted to do some new fancy dx12 streaming technology but doing so would cause some serious tradeoffs and those tradeoffs also meant a lot of base environemental graphics wouldh have to be scraped. The whole game project now is in serious doubt. and quasi limbo - (and going the way of Duke Nukem forever).. that's why you have not heard anything for a while.

CDPR dev here. You guys have no clue what you're talking about. Cyberpunk 2077 as it was proposed in the teaser has been scrapped for years in favor of an overhaul that more resembled a Japanese VN with SRPG elements and different routes for 7 or 8 girls (cop, punk, transhuman, etc)
Even CDPR is now doing VN. Where does the cancer stop?
I've got a bad feeling about this game. I think it'll be held back by the inevitable need for a console port, and so it'll be far narrower in scope than it should be. Been disappointed far too often when I get excited about games.
Compared to Witcher 3, there would be nothing wrong with narrower focus as long as the experience itself is solid. Game doesn't have to last fucking 200 hours of monster nests and smuggler caches.
After TW3 I don't think they would do anything that wouldn't be easily done on consoles anyway. They got a lot of backlash from that and will probably start with lower ambitions.
CDPR has never failed us before so I don't see how this could be real.
I think it's safe to assume this is the same guy who used to spam those "rainy cyberpunk cities at night is edgy"-threads, and the "Cyberpunk 2077 is vaporware"-threads. Move along, don't reply, just ignore.
