A game with high development costs.
When will this meme fucking die?
open wide
Total buzzword
It means big budget. Same way movies have Blockbusters, vs bargain bin, direct to dvd, etc.
Thats a good point. Did big money industry invent this to shit on the rise of the indie?
>thats an indie game, we are AAA+++ great buyer would do business with again.
?
It means it had a high budget, retard. It is the exact opposite of a "budget" title that wasn't made on a lot of money.
It's never meant quality.
It means someone has thrown a fuckton of money at it nothing else.
It means top tier budget for a videogames. And usually a high budget is what you think would result in a good game.
Yeah, been playing games of mostly small companies since 2000's, never got into triple A meme.
It's an indicator of budget, not quality you fucking child.
...
>tfw no autismo gf
What does it stand for?
It's the guy who gets all the high scores
What's considered AA these years, Earth Defense Force? Is Sniper Elite a AA franchise? What's A, indieshit that manages to get physical releases like 7 Days to Die or ?
Taytay is my future wife!

Every time I see a post like this I miss the e-mail field.
AAA games have a high budget and a strict formulaic approach to their design.
Problem is, the formulas are wearing thin after a decade and AAA has to reorganize again. This is the third AAA phase we've been through.
The first was post-crash era. The second was during the golden age in the 90s. The third is thankfully (hopefully) coming to an end soon.
NO I DON'T REALLY REMEMBER IT BEING A SIGN OF QUALITY SO MUCH AS A MARKETING THING STRANGE SHOUTY OP WHO I WILL NOW SHOUT BACK AT!!!!
It means a game rated 90+ or at least it did a few years ago
When did "AAA" become a thing people talked about? It feels like people only started using that to describe games in the last generation.
when indie games became a thing you fucking newfag
>coming to an end soon
Highly doubt it, buddy. Even if mainstream normalfags are showing signs of fatigue at Open World Crafting RPG Elements Game #400, the insane amount of marketing for each game makes every release profitable, if not extremely so.
I NEVER MISS A BEAT
IM LIGHTNING ON MY FEET
We're still in the FPS wastelands right now. Openworld crafters are vying to take their place.
Maybe Zelda will have put the scare into a few of these devs. If I can't climb everything, your game is going to feel antiquated.
nope a game with high marketing costs and zero money put into development and portings
Oh right, I forgot to say, the openworld crafters don't have a set formula like the FPS genre does. There's too much variation within the genre to make it a reliable sell.
It's BUDGET only.
It means a game with a large budget. Stop being a millennial, tumblr child.
The first AAA game as you know them was Final Fantasy VII. It had a massive ad budget unlike anything that came before. Before then Big Budget games were known as Killer Apps
Afterwards games like Resident Evil 2 and MGS1 would copy that formula
You really can't tell when a woman plays it up for the camera?
...
both correct
AAA refers only to the budget spent on the game, whether that actually be development or marketing.
AAA is by no means any measure of quality.
>indie
How do you say "AAA"
