It's on sale on Steam? Is it worth it?
It's on sale on Steam? Is it worth it?
it is highly good user
its xcom in 2d but with nice arcade mechanic
I just played through it this past week. It's highly addictive if you like strategy games, and the atmosphere is great like with Dig. I also recommend The Outsider DLC for a great new character and missions.
is it shallow? it kinda looks that way and that's one thing i can't stand in games.
It has a fair amount of depth and customization, and it's a lot longer than Dig. It'll probably take you 20 hours to beat it or more if you're especially thorough.
core mechanic stays the same but you get more abilities and characters over time, face different enemies, co on
also, missions are fairly short so you dont lose much progres when you get fucked up
its not that long also
There's nothing more satisfying than pulling off a miracle ricochet trick shot or even an accidental one.
Would I like this if I liked Dig?
It's a completely different genre, although there are common story elements and similarities in atmosphere. I loved both games myself.
OP, I have a key for it that I don't want, so you can have it.
Just post your steam id and a screencap of this post proving it's replying to you, and it's all yours.
Not OP, but do replies to an OP get a (You)? I forget if they do or not.
Not the OP, but I would definitely appreciate that key if the OP doesn't want it/doesn't reply.
Don't mind me. Just posting the superior robo-waifu.

I grabbed it on random impulse when it launched on 3DS with a sale after liking Dig and being a fan of SRPGs in general, and it honestly surprised me with how much it kept me hooked. It is a little on the short side, but I kind of feel like that's a good thing since it just means it didn't need to do anything to pad itself out at all and everything from the player's tools to the opposing forces you have to deal with all progress at a satisfying pace.
Beatrix is fucking great. The Killing Joke weapon in the DLC is the best thing to give her once she gets the Loose Cannon ability. She can wreck the final boss really well with it.
Fair enough. Since it's been a good 10 minutes, I assume OP is gone. It's all yours, friendo. Check Steam.
Thanks, I just saw your profile comment. I really appreciate it.

No worries man, enjoy it.
Post your best team.
Piper-Beatrix-Billy-Fen, not necessarily in that order depending on the mission.

I don't think I could choose. Each member of the crew all feels too useful and I can't possibly rank them at all. Except Billy, poor guy's nearly useless in the third act.
Billy is great with his vampire and flee abilities. Load him up with a melee enhancer and he's almost unstoppable. Give him a blaster with multiple shots so that he can finish off damaged enemies then flee to cover.
The problem is that he's a melee specialist when half of the third act's threats are either airborne or on the ceiling. If you're gonna have him shoot and run, you may as well put Sally, Seabrass, Dora, or Payroll in his place.
Billy's double melee move can devastate the golems and can one-shot the smaller teleporting enemies, and vampire gives him a steady HP flow.
Really loved this game. Downloaded and played to finish within a week.
Really loved Sea Brass, I would equip a shotgun to him and make him run up to enemies behind cover and kill them, taking their cover.
Been about a year, and I can't bring myself to delete it from my 3DS.
Maybe then. I guess I didn't quite give him a fair shake because trying to melee anything that late in the game feels really risky and potentially not worth the danger.
I got it on a humble monthly and enjoyed it. Around 25 hours to do everything I wanted in one playthrough, might start a new game+ soon. I would recommend it, it reminds me more of a 2D Xcom than a fire emblem and the free aiming, while it takes some getting used to, was a really enjoyable part of the game; nothing felt better than hitting an enemy on the other side of a room using a blaster.

>Vectron is the robot
>Voltbot is a classification
Also, what the hell happened to Rusty
I think Vectron is more the collective hive mind that embodies the voltbots. Or Vectron is literally this massive being that Rusty stumbles into and the Cowbots invade.
As for Rusty, I guess Dig 2 might give some answers on that.
I just found him to be a great complement to the ranged power of the rest of my team. His abilities really clicked for me.
Heist takes place well into the future past Dig, so I'm sure Dig 2 will tell us what happened to Rusty.
There will be a Dig 2?
It's worth it, but get it on GoG instead.

I'd really recommend Hard West as well.
