"The PS killer"

Can you build a PC that's as powerful as a PS4 but with less price?

Can you build a PC that's more powerful than a PS4 but with the same price as that console?

any examples?

Let me sum up the thread that's about to happen

>Someone posts the $400 build
>LOL INCLUDE A TV AND CHAIR SONY ALWAYS WINS BABY
>lists all the games and the fact that you can get most of them for free
>LOL DENUVO TOTALLY UNCRACKABLE
>endless wojak shitposting

Wouldn't make a difference if you could, you'd still be left playing low-budget, low-quality indie titles off steam.

Just bite the bullet and get a PS4 and get to play all the biggest releases. Better yet get a pro and majority of new titles will run at 60fps and 4k - if you even give a shit about that stuff, the games look incredible anyway.

What's wrong with this guy

>Can you build a PC that's as powerful as a PS4 but with less price?
>Can you build a PC that's more powerful than a PS4 but with the same price as that console?

why would I do this?
PC's aren't just for gaming.

(also ps4 hardware is subsidised because they make up the rest via the online subscription and more expensive games)

> you'd still be left playing low-budget, low-quality indie titles off steam.
"no"
PC gets most of the releases that ps4 gets
the handful of good ps4 exclusives do not justify the ps4's purchase

Who the fuck cares about power if I can't play good games on PC? The reason I play on console is because they have good games I'm interested in, what the fuck is the point of more power if it's only useful for making shitposting webms about MUH GRAFFICS on Sup Forums?

>why would I do this?
Having a jack of all trades AND master of all for a decent price?

Name some good games that only exist on console

>decent price

I'm not poor so this isn't an issue for me

Yakuza 0, GR2, Bloodborne, Nioh, Persona 5

PC is only good for Dwarf Fortress, Mount and Blade, and visual novels/porn games. All of those would run on my mom's fucking $200 laptop from 4 years ago.

At launch when it was $400 sure, now with new PS4s hitting $250 to $225 bundled with a game or two it's really hard.
Black Friday will probably have $200 PS4s bundled with a game and if your budget is that low then you'll have a much better experience with that than a cheap PC around that price range.

>lists 5 weebshit games that only some Sup Forums weebs and 0.001% of videogame players buy

Every major game or series exists on PC

just because you didn't find your obscure weebshit game on Steam doesn't mean it's not suitable for videogames

Drive club
Unchartered
Horizon
Final fantasy 15
Destiny
TLOU Remastered

Then you've got the likes of TLOU2, RDR2 and FF7 Remake coming out.

All of these games you won't have access to, amongst many more.

Watch as pcbros throw together a hastily chosen build from PC part picker, but conveniently leave out the cost of the OS, mouse & keyboard.

There is no quicker way to oust yourself as a Reddit tourist than a post like this.

You've gotta be kidding, the shit on Steam is hilarious how bad it is....

>they don't count because they don't fit my subjective opinion
A de facto admission of defeat

Tons of shovelware yeah, but it can be ignored. The fact that there's a lot of shit doesn't mean that plenty of good stuff isn't there. And that's good stuff from now, as well as games released as far back as the early 90s. Unlike the PS4, which isn't even backwards compatible with the previous generation of consoles.

You can buy a mouse and keyboard for 5$

>if not weebshit you're reddit
>using "muh reddit boogeyman" in general

>Literally predicted the thread

10/10

Stellaris
Bannerlord
Stalker series
Arma 3
UT
Cossacks 3
Divinty original sin
Escape From Tarkov
Rising storm
Stronghold series
AoE

There you go, i listed many major PC exclusives that are objectively good

But yeah, keep shitting on PC for not having your obscure weebshit shovelware

fucking kek
not a single person posted a good build yet
fuck pc building and its overglorification
time to admit that even getting the equivelant to a ps4 would be pricy as fuck
i came here to ask if there is a gaming laptop that is almost the same or a bit better in terms of specs than a ps4 and at a reasonable price.. but forget that now

No, a $249 pc is not going to be more powerful than the PS4. I could point out the $60 a year for online that pc players don't have to pay, or the cheaper, wider selection of games, but that'd probably just be ignored.

Ultimately, if you're playing on pc it's because you want the best possible experience. Multi platform games are objectively better on a powerful (not necessarily $3000) pc. There's nothing wrong with preferring the simplicity of a console, but a more powerful pc can run the same game as a console at a higher resolution, with a higher frame rate, with better effects like AA. If you want simplicity then get a console, but don't pretend that there's any reason other than that and a handful of exclusives to not go pc.

Read both links good

Divinity is on consoles, faggot

>laptop
>gaming
Oh God, it's retarded

>Divinity is on consoles, faggot
Scratch that then, but my point still stands

Obscure?

Aside from Arma I've never heard of any of that shit you just posted...

these 2 posts settles it

why must we suffer in this endless cycle of shitposting

99% of these games are played and discussed daily, they have good sales and their multiplayer is very alive (probably more than any weebshit game)

>400 build
He said less expensive, ps4 price is at 250, unless you mean a pro

impossible to not hear about them unless you live under a rock in zimbabwe

How have you never heard of STALKER? How new are you?

/thread

Are you literally retarted?

Consoles are typically sold at very little profit or even at loss since the manufacturers expect to make the money back on games. So most of the time a console is going to be cheaper than an equivalent PC (but on the other hand, games are cheaper on PC for the samereason)

Highly unlikely given PS4 is $250 bundled with a game now.

You should spend at least $600 on a desktop, you'll regret it in the long run if you spend less.

You can't (probably). You can, however build a PC that's as powerful as a PS4 for more money (including a screen etc), and then upgrade it for less money than a PS5 to better specs than a PS5.

You also have a PC you can work on, browse the internet and so on, although this hasn't been a very strong argument since tablets and smartphones became the "thing you already own anyway", instead of Desktop PCs.

In either case, it's not about price or performance, it's about choice and freedom vs control and convenience.

can you build a ps4 thats any better than everyother ps4 ever?

Only way is to get lucky on used stuff.

>the sonyfag doesn't know good games
Who'd have fuken thought?

Actually you could build one for $250, shit is getting old and cheap, if you can find it.

I think it's about time for some fresh air, friendo

get fucked

ps4 is $250
