as somebody who codes game engines for a living, spaghetti code written in a toy scripting language for a game mod matters fuck-all so long as it doesn't kill preformance or abort further development. And considering the only performance problem I've seen in brutal doom was from alpha particles, which is the same as any other game, I'd say it fulfills that objective

Hella fun. A new addition that made platforming fun and not a chore as it is with most shooters. Also added a vertical aspect to the overall speed of the game. Not only are you running errwhere, but jumping and falling to get a better shot/avoid getting gibbed. It adds to the run and gun aspect that we loved so much

What, the glory kills? Those were 2 second at most. Granted they're not perfect, and I certainly have my gripes with them, but they're fun as fuck and let you get health back in an active way rather than wasting time waiting for health to regen. It also give you an on-the-spot alternative to fleeing and looking for the pickups, which are easier to get to once you've bought yourself some more-blood time My big gripe is that it makes you stand still for a moment. if you coudl still move when performing them, they'd be perfect
