Here's what I do.
I drop a shit ton of fucking mines everywhere and blast anything that gets near me with a shotgun. Explosives are wholly underutilized. They almost always either outright kill or cripple anything, and even if it's a bullet sponge you can just take your time to plan your next move as it hobbles around.

It's okay. Lot of difficult enemies and shit. The armor and weapons are cool.
If Ulysses was supposed to be some 2deep4u type character then it completely flew over my head and he just came off as a petty asshole that needed somebody to blame for his town blowing up but was too weak/cowardly to actually go after the NCR/Legion so he tried to get revenge on the courier instead because he's a single person.
If anyone was to blame for the Divide blowing up, it was the NCR for having the Courier deliver the detonator
Does the courier have amnesia or is his past just that of a simple and uneventful life of a mailman so it doesn't matter to the story at large and that's why its never mentioned?

It's definitely the most difficult & underwhelming. I gave up on my legion run when I realised there was no way to maintain an alias in the mojave, and eventually the hit squads will show up in droves before you even get half way through the plot.
