Is Bethesda going to ruin the next Elder Scrolls game like they ruined Fallout 4?

Is Bethesda going to ruin the next Elder Scrolls game like they ruined Fallout 4?

Of course. They are trying to push for paid mods. So this time around, they'll make a game that is 99.9% incomplete.

question is HOW they are going to ruin it, not if

You mean again?

How did they ruin FO4? Green text it I don't feel like reading an essay

>Different teams work on different games
>Skyrim was such a massive hit I doubt they'll try to switch it up too much

Mostly misplaced development time
>invest hours in broken, clunky, grinding-required settlement system that most except the most ardent autists abandon
>dialogue wheel
>voiced protagonist doubles costs for dialogue, gives a prerogative for Bethesda to not put in lengthy, interesting dialogue
>no uses for skills like barter and repair in dialogue
>no interesting settlements because bethesda tried to pressure you to build your own

There are certainly more, those are the ones that come to mind

>going to
They already ruined both franchises a long time ago.

All of these are completely correct, but I have a much bigger problem with the lack of weapons, the Borderlands-style weapon system, and just the convoluted and shitty inventory system.

The game got so fucking boring when there was no incentive to explore since your reward is inevitably going to be just another randomised laser rifle with maybe a legendary effect.

Finding power armor was cool but there was only four and once you got the Enclave armor you were pretty much done with that.

>Is Bethesda going to ruin the next Elder Scrolls game

does howdy doody have a wooden dick?

You mean like they ruined the last two Elder Scrolls games?

it wasnt even borderlands, its was an exact copy of skyrim's enchanting.

>voiced protagonist doubles costs for dialogue
Yeah it's a real shame that Bethesda had to hire TWO whole voice actors instead of just the usual one.

>weapon customisation system
>wide range of pipe gun options
>all obsoleted by the 10mm pistol you get for free at the start of the game

You autists are going to whine whatever they do.

Building and mass effect dialog I bet

That's because whatever they decide to do they'll do terribly.

>No uses for skills like barter and repair in dialogue

All of the skill checks in dialogue that aided role playing are gone. Persuasion is 100% the charisma stat only now.

It'll be basically medieval Fallout 4, yes.

The only thing improved is the shootan.

>lifeless wasteland with boring locations. Just imagine my disappointment when I get to Salem and it's nothing but a deathclaw quest and some old dude taking pot shots at mirelurks from a roof.
>Try to implement faction system like new Vegas, but the story was shit so it fails miserably
>Spend all the quest writing time making faction quests, so there's only a handful of side quests
>Continue to push the radiant quest system
>Completely replace leveling system with perks
>Crafting system is just a weapon upgrade system
>Shit weapon selection
>Ugly armor designs. They tried to bring back the morrowind system for equipping armor pieces, but forgot to make the armor look good.
>Reduced number of random encounters
>Kept the dogshit skyrim loot system

It's the first Bethesda game I didn't by the dlc for.

Do you legit believe that the Planescape: Torment team would've put amount of dialogue that they did if they had to pay some randy to voice act it all?

Are you actually comparing Planescape to any Bethesda game or are you just shitposting

I didn't mind the levelling change.

Well they've done it with all of them thus far. Don't see why they'd stop now.

I am not. I am saying that there would be a lot more RPGs of Planescape: Torment quality if the demand for voice-acting every fucking person were quelled. The money spent of hiring professional voice actors can be spent on dialogue and world building.

Bethesda essentially multiplied the problem by two by making a voiced protagonist.

>I am saying that there would be a lot more RPGs of Planescape: Torment quality
Kill me already. This is why we can't have nice things.

Did you miss Oblivion or something?

It's been the same singular team making all of the TES and Fallout games under Bethesda. There's just a concept artist and writer or two that are series exclusive. Maybe that will change now with all the restructuring they've been doing recently but I wouldn't expect the development cycle to be any different for their flagship RPGs, especially because their core talent of level designers have been working together for many years with low turnover.
