No "terminal cancer" means a doctor thinks you're fucked but they're allowed to change their mind if your case responds to treatment unusually well or whatever. TB said in one of his videos that they were going to try and removed the tumor in his liver with "curative" intent. That is, with the hope of eliminating the disease.
