RE7 was on the older version of Denuvo you dumbo. It was also a short singleplayer game and in case you're one of those "game size doesn't have anything to do with cracking!" retards think again, the longer the game, the more server checks, the more manual patching is needed.

Automata is using V4 and it's a total revamp, nothing CPY has learned from the other versions will be applicable, they are literally sent back to square one

Fucking MGS had denuvo and i played that shit before it came out.

Once they are cracked, the crack sends out pre-encrypted checks to the DRM and you can play the game.

Denuvo is not actually cracked here since it's still inside doing its thing, however it is bypassed with this method.

For games that aren't cracked: every once in a while during gameplay the game would send data to the denuvo servers which goes through various things and spews out a encrypted thing back to you. This is what CPY is basically collecting for every Denuvo game they crack.

They collect these checks and basically manually patch them in their cracks and the DRM uses that pre-enctrypted data.

So basically, the bigger the game is, the more of those checks are in-game and the more manual patching is needed.

That is why it took bigger open world / rpg games longer to crack and that is also why RE7, a 8-10 hour long corridor single player experience was cracked so fast.

So even if Nier was on the older version of Denuvo, you'd have to wait 2-4 weeks for a crack. But the thing is that it isn't, it's using a newer version of Denuvo which apparently works entirely different and now CPY or whoever the fuck will have to find a new way of cracking things.

I'd suspect we are probably six months off. CPY will crack the V3 and earlier games first (Sniper Elite 4, Dead Rising 4, maybe finally getting around to Warhammer) then start working hard on V4.

Unless---of course---V4 is not that different and contains a flaw that they find. But I wouldn't bet on it.

big titles like dishonored 2, warhammer, the fifas remain uncracked. i wouldnt hold my breath for nier within a year.

I believe they're waiting for Dishonored 2 to get patched a bit more so a crack is worth doing.

After all, with each new version of a game, you'd almost have to start from square with cracking it.

What are the chances of this getting cracked pretty soon? I ordered it on PS4 but my brothers nigger friend stole it litterally the second it was posted through my door. I was hoping to get it finished before Persona 5 comes out

Loads of interesting ideas and plenty of good intentions, but nothing sticks. It’s like it was made by a team of people with super short attention spans. They’d come up with a good idea, carry it half way, then get distracted by another thought, and do it all over again until ending up with an unfocused, unsatisfying, incomplete product.

Could be. I haven't found a good reliable resource on the web---just the Wiki for if the game has Denuvo at all. I sort of assumed that Nier was the first one out the gate with V4 based on rumbling here but you might be right.

Little to none. New version of DRM (Denuvo). Will require CPY/other groups to relearn the code before cracking/patching. Better off just waiting for after P5.
