And yes, those are what we call references which the game is chock full of. Like the pod names for example. Adam and Eve, mainly Adam, were extremely interested in what humans have done and the Watchers symbol could've just been Eve coincidentally making a symbol to show that he thinks Adam and himself are like one or something like that since he pretty much loves Adam. Also it's pretty much hinted at in Drakengard 1 that the Watchers are the players since you are playing verses and verses are in songs.
