Amano's humans are awful if you interpret them literally, but his wispy art style is excellent for non-humans and heavily armored people.

Dissidia isn't canon, if it was their precious Lightning would be dead, and we know square won't have that

They i see it the Amano art generally works great in conveying story ideas, like Faris being a Androgynous Pirate, and Monsters but is "too much" in games proper unless someone breaks him down.

Definitly prefer the "sprite designs" for the NES and SNES FF Main Characters though.

If anyone "dies" by the hand of Chaos, Cosmos or one of their champions then that means that they just get revived for the next cycle, but since Lightning and the rest of the newcomers in 012 got killed by manikins, who are not part of the ones mentioned before, then that means that they are dead and don't get revived, they just died

That said, i think the reason he is "good" at monsters is because end up being kinda alien, which when designing monsters and demons is a plus but when just designing "creatures" is a minus.

but if the loop breaks does that undo everyone's death? lightning and crews sacrifice that set the stage for the WoL to close the loop, who himself went off to his own world in the ending cutscene. I feel like because its a time loop story that this means no one really died and they just were never in the loop to begin with or some shit

I always liked monster design in FF games. FF7 had awesome designs with everything looking like an abomination.

I think it was more that since link already had brown shirt and shoes adding MORE brown to the hair would just leave the sprite a bit of the mess due getting too much of one colour.
