With Kratos, killing gods is all about yelling and effort and grimdarkness and muh tragic flaws and doing things despite not wanting to do them.
Adol just washes ashore somewhere, either with or without amnesia, and just ends up almost effortlessly god slaying because he's in love with ADVENTURE, to the point of not fucking bitches and goddesses to prove how all "mature" he is despite them throwing themselves at him left and right, because that would just get in the way of his calling.
He's far less of a bitch and a bigger man than Kratos could ever possibly be, and he does this without generally being granted any deus ex machina superpowers or weapons by the gods.
