NWN 2

What are the most essential fixing mods for NWN2? For nostalgia, I'm going to replay it again and already forgot which ones to get from the Vault.

>What are the most essential fixing mods for NWN2?
Nothing. Otherwise;
If you are a caster, the Rod of Buffing is useful. If you want to use spell sneak attacks, you'll need a hakpack to enables them.

I don't remember pure vanilla being too good, but I can remember this one fix mod which maxed the party member count and removed some exp issues when multiclassing. Can't remember the name though.

I wouldn't max the party size in the OC, it quickly becomes too much of a clusterfuck (and some party members are almost entirely superfluous); I'd just say leave it entirely.

Increasing the party size so you can take all of your companions with you might as well be mandatory for MotB, though.

But it was piss easy with the regular amount of companions...

>NWN 2
>Posts NWN

Anyway, who here Cuck Simulator 2017?

I like to recruit everyone for the banters (party size of 10-11 or something) and then park them at the map entrance and solo everything with my main char, or a small group of 2-3 people.
It seems all XP is individual so you don't lose anything.

neverwintervault.org/project/nwn2/other/gui/companion-multiclass-121

This is the only mandatory one in my opinion.

I did this a lot too, their bantering is hilarious at times

>but I can remember this one fix mod which maxed the party member count
you can just edit the campaign file in the map editor
you literally need to change one variable

Do you guys use any Prestige Class packs?
I switched from Kaedrin to Mage Tome neverwintervault.org/project/nwn2/hakpak/original-hakpak/mage-tome-spell-prc-pack-v075
because Kaedrin doesn't seem to give half a fucks about Arcane classes, this one has a lot of wizard PrCs and a lot of new spells too.
I tried some of the compilations / merged hakpacks but they were mostly broken for me.

You can just run a console command.

DebugMode 1
rs ga_party_limit(12)
DebugMode 0

You can also increase their influence/friendship with "rs kr_influence" if you want them to actually talk to you about their background, otherwise it's fairly strict and if you don't do every quest the way they like it they will never trust you enough.

I still prefer Kaedrin because it's not like arcane classes need any help anyway.

NWN1 Class Tier List

>God Tier:
Druid

>Top Tier:
Wizard, Sorcerer, Cleric, Shifter

>High Tier:
Champion of Torm, Black Guard, Bard, Weapon Master

>Mid Tier:
Paladin, Harper Scout, Fighter, Red Dragon Disciple, Dwarven Defender

>Low Tier:
Monk, Ranger, Rogue, Pale Master, Arcane Archer, Shadow Dancer

>Trash Tier
Barbarian, Assassin, Purple Dragon Knight

Arcane is surprisingly weak compared to 2E, they are far below Cleric or Druid. And Kaedrin adds more CoDzilla content than arcane, which definitely don't need the help.
CoD can just buff up and hit people until they die, but wizards really suffer from the health bloat and can no longer just blow up enemies.

How is baba worse than rogue?
At least their class isn't broken against 75% of the enemies which are immune to backstab.

UMD

>look through your old nwn2db builds
>5 Wiz/5 Dru/10 EK/10 SB
I'm a genius

>rating base classes and PrC's on the same scale

My first character was a Fighter/Monk because I somehow got stuck on the idea that I wanted to use a greatsword but also wear no armor at all.

Thankfully the game isn't very hard.

be a monk

solo dragons

be a monk

die to dragons

Fixed

be a monk/druid/shifter

turn into a kung-fu dragon

nwn.wikia.com/wiki/Damage_reduction

Yes, and?

I just wanted a wild shaper with perma-haste and other Swiftblade shit and good arcane spellcasting dude. If Exalted Wild Shape is actually a good feat, that build could work to an extent post-lvl20.

Shadow Dancer is good though

Hide in Plain Sight is OP as fuck.

t. never played monk right

nwn.wikia.com/wiki/Enhancement_bonus

Kaedrin has reserve spell feasts which lets you blow enemies every round

Kaedrin PRC
HD UI
Facelift pack

Its really not

Too bad there isn't anything to backstab.

>nwn.wikia.com/wiki/Enhancement_bonus

its very easy to stack resists to such a level that you take 0 damage from all sources as a monk

im sorry you missed the memo

Yeah, mage tome has those feats too. They are useful, but still no arcane PrCs.

A dance with rogues.

lolno

Monks get 20/+1 DR, which means anything using enhanced weapons (which is literally anything but weak mooks, and in mid-lategame even those) will ignore it.

If you want to go all-in on the damage reduction (which is a dumb strategy IMO but you do you), you're better off playing a Barbarian or Dwarven Defender since their DR can't be ignored.

SO MANY YEARS AGO TODAY

Do you need strength as a druid? Do you get more strength in animal form if your humanoid form has 14 str instead of 10, or does it just set it to a fixed number?

No. I think all, but if not all atleast vast majority, of Wild Shapes replace your STR/DEX/CON but keep your INT/WIS/CHA.

Shapeshifting replaces your physical scores, it doesn't add to them. So Strength is useless for a Druid unless you really want to hit people with your staff or something.

Anything with a +1 weapon bypasses all of monks damage immunity regardless of how much they have, even stacking you can only block about 30 damage per hit.

What is it about monks that attract such clueless shitters?

wildshape STR,CON,DEX stats are all fixed depending on the forms so those stats are pretty much useless for a druid

the only thing I can think of is not installing the latest (1.23) patch as it fucks up WASD character movement.
Obsidian somehow always manages to break things with their patching, and this time they didn't get to release 1.24 which would unfuck 1.23.

>What is it about monks that attract such clueless shitters?
Muh martial arts I can be just like Naruto!

>Its really not
It's the biggest AI breaker in the game, completely trivialising any module that doesn't give all of its mid-to-high level enemies True Sight (and I can't think of any good ones that do)

>But it was piss easy with the regular amount of companions...
It's not about difficulty; it's because all of the companions have their own unique lines and banters that trigger in the environment and talking to people, and unlike the OC you can only have four companions anyway, so restricting you to three at one time just means you miss out on seeing some of that content.

Some of the fights can be pretty tough; the Red Wizards at the start of the module, the dream fights if you don't have Gann, the Spirits of the Void and Elder Doom/Death Lords on the bottom level of The Death God's Vault if you do them early, Araman, and Myrkul's Knights are all nicely interesting/challenging fights
Sergei, Myrkul-As-One and the final boss are all entirely capable of fucking you up

If you want to be Naruto get the Book of weeaboo fightan magic PrC pack.
neverwintervault.org/project/nwn2/hakpak/original-hakpak/tome-battle-book-nine-swords

so much wasted potential

>the vampire monks on dead god's vault the first time you ever played MOTB

>the dream fights if you don't have Gann
>if you don't have Gann
Why would you not have the best NPC in the game?

>tfw can't get the Mistress Kate intermission to run at all
I've tried three playthroughs already and I just don't get it even after exhausting every other one.

>It's the biggest AI breaker in the game
Its not, that would be Sunburst.

HiPS can fail in combat meaning you have to disengage which provokes attacks of opportunities, anything with high spot or trueseeing makes it completely useless, also half the time the AI can see you while invis/stealth for no reason just because.

HipS is also super easy to counter in PvP

You got Sharna and Imoen?

Yeah. And the temple open. And Sharna interrupted one night. And the one where you walk in on them in the living room. Pretty much everything I can think of, but it simply won't happen.

>attacks of opportunities
Rogue types should be practically immune to it with tumble.
But otherwise yeah. And even if you hide, most enemies in the OC are STILL immune to your sneak attacks so you didn't do anything useful.

Hell, at this point I would just try to force it to happen in Debug Mode, but I don't know how to do it.

>HiPS can fail in combat meaning you have to disengage which provokes attacks of opportunities
Rogue doesn't have to worry about attacks of opportunity
>anything with high spot or trueseeing makes it completely useless
Which I mentioned, I think there's all of half a dozen enemies in the game that have True Seeing and are actually difficult
>also half the time the AI can see you while invis/stealth for no reason just because.
This is a glitch, but you can fix it by dropping stealth, giving a move order to disengage, and then hiding again.

>And even if you hide, most enemies in the OC are STILL immune to your sneak attacks so you didn't do anything useful.
Bitches can't hit what they can't see
>not being a Fighter or Paladin/Rogue 1/Shadowdancer

I like the tie-in to adwr and playing as an official spook is kinda nice. Also I appreciate that it looks like there are options to be a willing participant or being a good husband and making kate look like a shitbag for doing so. I can see the focus was on making cuck/swinger content but it would nice if there was option to stop her cheating completely, end the marriage, or expand the husbands cheating content.

But the moment you attack, you drop stealth. So what did you gain?

As of the latest updates, if you don't cheat on her, she won't cheat on you at all.

I think (based on the image and it's name you posted) that you were one of the user's that asked me something on another thread, but I went to sleep, th thread was gone, I made another thread to awnser, but I think it was gone to fast for almost anybody to see.

If that's the case: On other subject, does anybody else feels very frustrated without a MotB epilogue that you devour the gods , give an elemental plane of gold to neeshka and go to hell meet her parents?

I'm looking through the toolset to see what triggers the Mistress flag, gimme a few minutes and I'll see what I can find

nwn2db.freeforums.org/game-bugs-t42.html

pretty amusing read desu

I was looking through it earlier, but I have no idea about coding and scripting of any kind, so it would be appreciated.

>play sorceredr
>apply thorn-like-shield-spells
>turn into the golem
>everything dies once it touches you

Brilliant game, also loved that you could turn into the dragon as sorcerer or play shapeshifter but his dragon was kinda weaker imo.

I got it pretty easy on my first run, it was disappointing and short and was never brought up again. not really worth bothering with honestly.

This isn't a matter of fapping now, user, it's a matter of pride.

Three fucking playthroughs trying to turn Kate into a complete degenerate and for some reason she never makes the final step despite seemingly having exhausted every other option.

Because their class features run into a cliff due to the fact that the epic rage feats are garbage and that Rage doesn't ignore the +12 to attribute bonus cap. By the time you actually hit lategame they've got basically nothing over any other melee class.

Shifter/Druid dragon shape was considerably stronger than the sorc level 9 spell

The checks appear to be that you need to have >= 7 relationship with Kate, Imoen and Sharna need to be in the house, temple needs to be open, Sharna needs to have walked in and interrupted, and you and Kate need to have talked about the disturbance(?).

If you're desperate, just add a debugStone and run the scene for that, it'll make sure to catch to any issues and reset them.

How did you even finish this game the first time??

You always forget the fact you can't cast in druid dragon shape outside of exploits
And also that you only get druid dragon shape by the time HOTU is literally over
And that literally only 0.1% of NWN1 modules go higher than 30

Neato.

Can you recommend me some good builds for purely dragon-form?

The problem is when I cooped with a friend , shapeshifter build was kinda weak and it felt like very unrewarding. Friend was playing cleric and was rekting everything heh

Thanks man. I suspect it must be the relationship number. Far as I know, I don't think you can check the value you have. Which makes me wonder just how much I've got since I've been trying to get as much as possible from the start of the game.

Shifter is a lategame thing and obviously Cleric is way better until you hit lategame.

Mod that fixes NPC faces
Mod that fixes Neeshaka
Mod that fixes Kelemvors awful texture
The PrC mod
Mod that fixes the warlock clothes
Mod for PC portraits
Mod for NWN1 styled UI
Mod for the extra races

I never managed to be interested in NWN but since I got it free from GoG I really want to play through it, is there a way to mod the interface so it doesn't look like budget MMO shit ?

Just open the module with the Construction Set.

You cant do ANYTHING in NWN without exploiting, the game is bugged to shit.

>So what did you gain?
The ability to be unhittable indefinitely, at-will, as much as you want, even in the middle of fights.

I mean, it's hardly the most optimised damage-dealing build, but it's so powerful a feat in single-player campaigns that to dismiss it as anything other than gamebreaking is utterly ludicrous. It's probably the most powerful feat in the game for PvE

>that you were one of the user's that asked me something on another thread, but I went to sleep, th thread was gone, I made another thread to awnser, but I think it was gone to fast for almost anybody to see.
I am that user! Thanks a bunch user-senpai, that's a much more extensive answer than I was expecting, I really appreciate it (especially since you made a whole extra thread for it and everything). I understand, time zones suck, in fact I have to go to sleep soon myself

>On other subject, does anybody else feels very frustrated without a MotB epilogue, give an elemental plane of gold to neeshka and go to hell meet her parents?
YES. I mean, there should've been an option with the evil and non-evil endings to MotB; even without accepting the curse I wanted to be a Planeswalker and reunite with and romance by devilfu, carve out a plane/holding of incredible wealth with her, and then have her take me to hell to meet Grandaddy Mephasm

You cant cast in sorc level 9 shapechange dragon either so how does that make a difference

>look at me! I can be a dragon for 0.2% of the game if I'm lucky

Druid > Cleric in early, mid and late game

I hate pretty much every individual part of NWN2 (except for Sand and the soundtrack), but there's still something annoyingly comfy about it.

how can I save my waifu bros?

Not until you hit Shifter 10.

You don't need a single level of shifter to have OP as fuck shapeshifting forms.

Pure druid > cleric

better spells, animal companion, wildshape.

You can't, her death is part of the story.

Good taste though, she truly was best girl.

>Harm

DESU you dont even really need Dragon Shape

How about NWN2?
Druid still OP? I know it even gets natural spell, but does it still have the rest of its broken toolkit?

Druid gets harm you imbecile

this

Druid is a patrician class in DnD 3.5 (and PoE while we're at it)

as tough as a cleric and as destructive as a wizard

they were subpar in AD&D though

quick help me pick a race and class for my first playthrough of the NWN 1 OC

>Finished yet another NWN mod
>list of good modules is running out
>forced to face SoU's slow start

Fuck

Human. Druid, cleric or wizard.

Druid got nerfed heavily in NWN2

Wildshape bug got fixed
Shapes got toned down
Stonehold got nerfed
Druids no longer get grease
Creeping Doom got nerfed
Harm got nerfed

However they did get the broken as fuck dino animal companion that can solo pretty much any melee class in the game

they also got some prett good new spells like moonbolt, arc lightning, swamp lung, mass drown and rejuv cocoon.

extra feat still best racial like in any D&D game ?
