Do you think portable vidya will someday stop? Im scared for the future. I dont wanna play videogames on a fucking smartphone.

Well, Switch is selling well apparently

Why not?

Because this on-screen bullshit is terrible. And its either this or "endless runner #49". At this point i just want the 3DS to have a lifespan as long as the PSP.

Not a snowball's chance in hell.
Portable Vidya already has more financial backing than most Triple-A Vidya. It makes that sweet white whale cash. It's also what the people want, because everyone who is not a self described gamer, and even some who are, really want to be able to game on literally the only electronic device they care about, their phone.

Owning consoles is becoming more and more rare, and things like the Switch are a direct response to this - "We know you only game on your phone. We know you will never, ever buy a PlayStation 9, you just want to be able to kill twenty minutes on the metro. Here is the best we can give you while still technically making it a console. I hope we still have your attention."

It might work, it might not, but the phone gaming will only get more and more backing as time goes on.

...

The only input smartphones have is the touchscreen which leads to shit tier controls or incredibly simplistic games.

Better go trade that vita in for a switch

>there are people so addicted to videogames they have to play it on the go
>there are people willing to haul around more electronics than just their phone

I don't get it.

Who cares what a dumbshit like you wants? You're one of these imbecile gamers who doesn't know that "video games" is two words.

Portable vidya is the future. The Switch was such a huge success because it's home console that you can take anywhere. That's literally it. Not the power, not the games. The portability.

I regularly bring out my vidya during my lunch breaks at work.

>going outside

So the Switch is a Handheld, not a home console?

I've been playing mobile games since '09 and never had an issue with touch screen controls. I suppose if your fingers are greasy or fat you may have issues but not me.

Go play MHFU G-rank on your tablet, tell me that's fine.

It's a bastardization mix. Really it's a tablet with an HDMI out to play on the TV.

It is. But then again, a LCD mounted onto an xbox would be a handheld too.

>Owning consoles is becoming more and more rare
>playstation 4 on course to become best selling sony console of all time, xbox one outselling xbox 360

really gets my noggin joggin

I don't even know what that is.

Well let's take a different approach then. What do you play on your smartphone?

fucking casuals, man
