Right
I've had enough

When does that nerd ever leave his house to go to the church?

I'd put Bangkok higher than Colorado, but other than that, it's pretty good list.

Wow this game is garbage. Not buying it anymore.

Sapienza>Hokkaido>Paris/Marrakesh>Bangkok>Colorado

They did that specifically for pistols to force you to pick a sniper rifle if you want easy long range kills instead of cheesing everything with Silverballers.

Havent played this since I missed several illusive targets due to work. Sorry, but if you cant cater to my autism then fuck you.

Yes, I know its dumb, but knowing I may have permanently missed content and outfits makes me almost unable to enjoy the game

In blood money, sniping things with you silverballer made several missions way too easy. Having to carry the sniper in the suitcase makes it more interesting.

You know you still could have unlocked all the outfits if you started just a little bit ago, but now you really fucked yourself. I just unlocked the winter coat on this current target.

There's no suitcase in HITMAN(tm) though.

On that note, WHY isn't there a suitcase?

Looking up how to silent assassin the new targets every time they came out just so I would be able to unlock the new stuff just wasnt fun for me.

So don't look it up? You sound like a weak-willed faggot who just can't resist following guides for everything.

Shit you're right. I forgot. The fuck where they thinking? Carrying a suitcase is completely the Hitman asthetic if you know what I mean.

I didnt look it up on the last one I did. I was supposed to kill a guy and NOT kill another target. So I knocked out the target I was not supposed to kill so it was easier to avoid, and therefore failed the mission since appearently that counted as a kill.

I fucking love the game and the mechanics and gameplay is great, but shit like this permanently missable crap is not for me.

S2 when?
Why can't they quit working on all these stupid ass elusive targets and community content no one cares about.

>Snapped his neck
>wtf r u okay?

Who cares anyway? There are WAY more elusive targets than the number you need to do to unlock the outfits. You can fuck up a good number and it doesn't matter.

It's in the flyer art.

Engine limitations or something stupid like that. It's especially annoying since it's even in the fucking promotional art.

What's the fucking thinking behind making a new engine that can't even do the staple things your old engine could do? It's also the reason there's no elevators in any of the levels.

420 blaze it

Is it because all "map" objects are static and cant be moved except if a cutscene allows it? I mean the cars move when you escape in them and they hit NPCs if they are in the way so clearly they are actually moving.

No fucking idea. Absolution apparently had the same problems, but even that managed to at least seem more polished.
I wouldn't count it out that they're planning it for S2, but I'm still annoyed that they spend so many resources on meh community content rather than fix all the shit the fans have been clamoring for since it launched.

It's an item with an item inside it, an animation to open and assemble and the opposite animation.

How is it possible that a functional game engine in the hands of professionals can't do this?

>you have to do the whole ending thing in Colorado and skip every cutscene before escaping

Great design

God I hate Colorado. Lowest tier map.

Hokkaido = Kino
Sapienza = Cinema
Paris = Film
Bangkok = Movie
Marrakesh = Joint
Colorado = Flick

I don't understand why they advertise Escalations like anyone gives a shit.

Player made Contracts could be an awesome thing, but the creator for it is so half-assed it has no real longevity, just like Absolution.

Escalations are dumb. Just give me level 5 escalation right away. It gets boring to do all the easy parts.

I honestly don't get the point of Escalations. They're just contracts with extra requirements? Nothing I couldn't just do while fucking around in a normal mission.

I think that one time I stealth killed every soldier in Marrakesh dressed as the Headmaster was harder than anything they ask you to do in an Escalation.

I think the idea is good and extends the replay value but its pointless to have the "escalation" part of the escalations. Just give me my objectives right away and let me do them.

HELLO

THANK YOU FOR VISITING MY HUMBLE STALL

Yeah I get what you mean but I'd rather they just put more effort into Contracts. Player-created content is always best for extending the life of a game. It would have been a hundred times better if it was an actual mission editor, however basic, than just "mark some targets and play copycat".

The thing I was thinking that would be practical for the devs and the players would be modular levels. Like the hotel in Bangkok right? It's shitty that most of it is closed off because of some faggot band, so for Contracts let players choose to get rid of those faggots and fill in the hotel like normal.

Honestly if they made Contracts good enough, it could carry a game on it's own. All they would have to do is pump out good maps like Sapienza that have good potential. Hell they could even recycle maps from older games, I would love to revisit some levels like Beldingford Manor or Anathema with some modern updates and a mission editor on them. I imagine they could combine some levels from Hitman 2 into one big map, like the Malaysia office building, or the Russian streets/subway/embassy. Man, I loved that embassy level.

Oh right, another thing for the wish list for S2 - more than five voice actors.

SOMEONES DOING STUFF THEY SHOULDN'T

Remember when people spoke the appropriate language for the setting of the level? I still remember the chinks yelling HOWFREEGAH at me when I fucked up in Hong Kong.

Yeah contracts just being "point out the target and means of killing" is stupid. Should be more options for customizing the mission.

YAME

YAME

I guess voice actors is an easy thing to skimp down on if you have a relatively low budget.

You know bullets lose force after a certain distance? And not everyone explodes into gibs with one shot like your video games son?

Whats inappropriate about everyone speaking Americanized English everywhere?

Not at that distance.

It says non target killed, that's not Caruso.

Actually a lot of them are British and Australian.

I like the one conversation in Italy where a clearly British woman is having an argument with her clearly American brother.

>Pull out a gun in Paris
>The guards don't surrender

I always imagined it was just Agent 47 knowing all languages so he translates it in his head. Subtitles would have been fine though.

>Infiltrate hardcore militia in the woods of Colorado
>Overflow a sink
>Injured soldier hobbles in
>In a thick Australian accent he yells out, "OH WHAT THE FUDGE!?"

That gave me a serious fucking giggle.

Still isn't as effective

Multiple terrorist attacks will do that to you

I might be wrong but isnt Hitman(tm) before all the other games cronologically? So its like in the 90s or early 00s. Though that doesnt make a whole lot of sense for many reasons. Peoples phones are clearly smartphones for one thing.

No, it is seven years after Absolution, so it is in 2019.

It's at least set after 2, since Miyazaki is featured on the board in Colorado.

In my head it's set after Blood Money and makes Absolution non-canon.

Ah well the story isnt that important.

Only the prologue takes place before the other games, the rest of the game takes place after Absolution.

Forgot my pic. So it's definitely set after Blood Money since Alvaro is on the board.

The brother of the guy from Absolution is in Hokkaido so its probably after Absolution as well, and its likely canon.

Fug, they should have just left that pile of shit non-canon.

Absolution apparently got semi retconned, as in that most stuff in that game did happen, but not as spaghetti spilling as depicted in that game.

I just finished it half an hour ago.

Have only played each mission once, but I'm definitely going back through them once more after I've done the bonus episode things. Which I didn't see yet in the menu.

They did replay value right with this game so you'll have a lot of fun I think.

The only thing that sucks as far as replay value is that there isn't as much to discover, in the sense that everything is told to you via challenges and opportunities.

And even if you disable opportunities, nothing ever actually happens unless you start it. The interview in Marrakesh, the birthday party in Bangkok, the flower delivery in Sapienza. The only missable opportunities I can think of are the bandaged up patient in Hokkaido and the catwalk speech in Paris.

>finished it

one does not simply "finish" a hitman game.

I'd still recommend playing with them disabled at least for the first few runs. It's still more fun to make a few logical assumptions or piecing something together (this counts for non-opportunity kills as well) rather than just following the objectives.

The new one is good, but I think Blood Money is still the best.

I feel Hitman(tm) carried the torch gameplay wise really well. The gameplay is on par with Blood Money and better in many ways. But Blood Money has many unforgettable are denser missions. I think Hitman(tm) is the better game but almost tied with Blood Money.

that makes no fucking sense at all. You can carry physical objects like propane tanks. Its all a matter of just a bunch of animations. IO are lazy fucks

Those are literal objects placed there and not part of the map design itself.

how is a suitcase not an object?

I meant the elevators, not the suitcase

They can make the suitcase, and they know it. They're just saving it for Season 2.

They're probably going to pull it off like another Bateson where the forums will be filled with people singing their praises over something that should've been there to begin with.

>They will never bring Kyd back

IO are shit. SHIT!

The James Bond-esque soundtrack is decent but it really doesn't hold a candle to Kyd. I kind of miss the darker mood that he was able to create which isn't really present at all in (tm).

ROCCO GET DOWN HERE YOU CANT BE LATE FOR YOUR FIRST DAY

Yeah, the music really made the atmosphere in the old games what is was. Even levels I didn't really like, like the India ones from 2, had amazing music. That menu theme blew my mind the first time I heard it:

youtube.com/watch?v=fBXp0z4ETWI

The games overall just had a much cleaner professional style, which they tried to bring back with HITMAN(tm) with mixed results.

And while we're on this nostalgia trip, you know what else I miss? Collecting weapons. Why was Hitman 2 the only game that let you collect melee weapons and bring them with you to other missions? Contracts and Blood Money both let you collect firearms, but not melee weapons. For what fucking purpose? I wish you could do the same to disguises. Let me start the Paris mission as a plague doctor, what could it hurt?
