Plus the series isn't alone in the "looter-shooter" genre. It will have to compete with Destiny 2. I know Destiny gets a lot of hate on Sup Forums but the reality is that The Taken King fixed a lot of problems and shows Bungie is on the right path for D2. We already know Bungie will beat Gearbox when it comes to the actual gunplay mechanics and how everything feels, if they can also get the sense of progression and post-game environment sorted it will shit all over B3.

People bought Crackdown just for the Halo 3 beta and Crackdown ended up being pretty good.

People bought Bulletstorm for the Gears 3 beta and got a linear five hour shooter full of penis jokes.

As someone who played 1, 2, and PS with friends, I agree. I just want to leave this hell. One can only hope that they release the game only for Bungie to release Destiny 2 shortly after so it's completely overshadowed by it. I'm serious, that'd be the best. A repeat of Battleborn/Overwatch only this time it's a them being beaten at their supposed best rather than something they were just introducing.

Destiny 2's release date leaked yesterday (September 8th) so it will definitely be out before B3.

Activision has promised they're going to get better at rolling out content for Destiny on a regular basis (and have even put two extra studios on the project to help Bungie). If they keep that promise then people may not even want to leave Destiny to try out B3.

A 'clip' would be what you would use to load bullets. A 'full clip' is just called a magazine. It's a /k/ommando distinction that drives them batty when non-gun people get it wrong.

Bulletstorm is so trash. The game tried to be so hip and cool, yet it has the same terrible modern shooter trends that many games have, including the ones it mocked in that promotional demo thing.
